This is true. I kinda wanted to mine ETH on the side but now not so much. My main purpose is gaming in 4k and rendering.
Currently using a 2070 but I'm selling it for what it's worth, not the inflated price.

Currently using a 2070 but I'm selling it for what it's worth, not the inflated price.
You can still do it but with a Lower hash rate, also Crypto prices are a bit down now so you might just *keep on mining* till prices go up. But in general you can do it with a slower rate than the current cards. 3080 will be a big upgrade for you from that 2070.

It would be nice, but that card dropped last week so I wouldn't expect to see it again until at least mid-June. It has only been dropping once a month. It moved over a minute last week though which is a lot for that queue.

Just a thought. Why is there a manufacturers price that the retail units have to use for retail sales then they go a scalp prices to whatever they think fit here in the UK. Surely the likes of EVGA and the like must know this is happening and do nothing. A £400 graphics card going online for £800 seems the normal now. So the buyers of these cards have just cost us for our next Graphics Cards. The manufacturers can just bump up the price now as a given. Then because of the wait we are all having to bear surely the cards we are waiting for now will be new old stock soon sold at the new higher price once the newest launch type comes out.

With this I expect EVGA’s prices to be priced a little lower, so as to be brought down to $1500. At that point, I can use the elite wheel coupon to bring it down to a much more manageable price. I will get in the 3080ti queue if I don’t get a GPU @ MC!

I am pretty sure that prices at your local shop Will not be much different because they Know these prices in euro i have already posted and updated because they change with rate of exchange I do not have Asus Prices Keep in mind That for example Nvidia 3080 TI card have msrp price WITH VAT INCLUDED But it's speculated that 3080 TI should be 999 Euro + Vat Not only because it has half memory than 3090 but also because 3080 TI is using 3080 Platform That is to say 3090 FE is bigger card than 3080 TI FE

Unpopular opinion (it's been a couple weeks since I rocked the boat)... Selling your used card for insane prices is being part of the problem. If you take advantage of the shortage to sell your very used 1080ti for what you paid for it 4 years ago (or even more), you aren't much better than a scalper, you are taking advantage and profiting off the current situation.
I understand that's what is going to happen, and people can do what they want, but once you accept more than you paid for a 4-5 year old card your "moral high ground days" are expired. No more complaining about shuffles or bundles or queues or greed or bots or tariffs, because you stomped your feet and cried "unfair" when the situation hurt you, yet still found it OK to exploit it when it helped you.
If you want to retain your integrity, find a friend who needs a better card and hook them up for a fair price, even better a stranger. You will feel good about it, they will feel good about it, and the money "lost" was never really lost, it was only there because of a messed up situation that this entire community has bemoaned for going on 9 months now.
When I went from my 3080 FTW3 to the K|ngP|n, I sold the card to a friend of a friend who I never met. Not for what I could get on eBay, not for tariff pricing, not even for MSRP... I used the card for over a month, benched it, and had it in and out of the machine a couple times. While I am meticulous and the card performed/looked brand new, but I sold it to the guy for $50 less than original MSRP. It felt right and he was insanely happy. I tell this story not to say "look at how great I am" but instead to demonstrate you do not have to give in to the system and be another butthole trying to squeeze money out of the next guy.
Hopefully this doesn't fall upon deaf ears, hopefully some people agree, hopefully we see that "fair" and "unfair" aren't based on how something affects us and only us, but the greater good.

Agreed. That's why when I was into baseball card collecting I always sold the cards for $0.89 (cost of the pack, minus 10 cents for the gum I chewed.) Who cares that the foil rookie cards "books" at $120, that's not fair to the person buying it (who will most likely sell it for a profit but that's on HIS SOUL!) /sarcasm
