X3 black moves 8 mins while gaming moves 5 hours.   why does evga even have sku's when they dont want to deliver them?   Its even worse for 3080's some them have barely moved.    Why not simply have a queue only for items that move, why make ppl subscribe to queues that they have no intention of delivering.

I'd take 40mins of movement on the EU queue and be happily off with my 3060.
With your logic, they could just remove the EU queue entirely as it doesn't deliver anything.

Next queue sign up for all of them starting with the most expensive (still way better than NE or scalper prices)

Perhaps use the 3070 and enter it to step up list?

Definitely planning on using the 3070 until I can get a 3080 -- step up is an option, yeah *facepalm*

With what 2080s are selling for, you could step up to the 3090 pretty easily.  The 3090 step up queue moves pretty fast.  The 3080 step up queue doesn't move much.

Was looking at that earlier.  2080 XC Ultra is going for about $900-1000.  The 3070 FTW3 Ultra is at about $1600.  I mean, it's an upgrade if nothing else.  I'm annoyed at myself for buying the wrong bundle, but ... I mean, silver linings, right?  And yeah, step up.

I'd even take a NE equivalent here in europe, but there is no real point in signing up for any card in EU at this point, got into 3070 less than 24 hours after launch, queues still on the morning of launch day... :(

I want to crawl back into bed and pretend this week didn't happen. Other than with respect to the 3070s and the 3898, EVGA Boulevard felt pretty dusty this week...almost like we had been transported to Boot Hill.

I urge you and implore you to get outside this weekend (yup, I am heading up the Department of Redundancy Department this week). Breathe something other than stagnant air. Walk farther than from your bedroom to the refrigerator and back again (I might be projecting a bit at this point). Seriously, turn away from the blue light....

I've secured body boards for my daughter and me...tomorrow, we hit the waves. Barring an encounter with Willy (is he still free?), I should be back at the laptop, ready for the salt wars early Monday morning; please bring goggles...the iodized stuff really stings.

Have a great weekend!

Again good movement on my selected product. As a random question how well does the purchase page work on mobile if anyone here has done so?

The one reason I could see NOT doing a step up is because then I'd have to send in the card (and have NO card) and wait.

Food for thoughts I would say, I know the queue is so long in EVGA, but this is as good as it gets to buy a graphics card now.

You don't send in the card until they have a card ready to ship to you. You would be without a card for a week or 2 at most.

It's not that long of a wait. I next day mailed my card. Took a day of processing, and I paid for next-day shipping.... doesn't have to take long. Compare that to how long some folks have waited on this queue.....

Cool! So you don't even have to try and sell some bundled item! I get to sell a motherboard... haha or try to.

I'm so conflicted, I'm about 8 seconds away in the 3080 hybrid queue, but with the ti so close around the corner I'm tempted to wait. I worry I'll come up in the 3898 queue and pass it up to wait for a ti just to end up in the ti queue for several more months. Decisions, decisions.

Just buy it if your turn comes up. If the 3080 Ti comes and you secure a good spot, just use your 3080 until the ti arrives and sell the card. You won't have a hard time selling it.

You will probably be able to step up, as it's technically an upgrade. I would definitely buy the first hing that pops up for me though. Even if you do get on the Ti queue it could be months of waiting.

With your logic, they could just remove the EU queue entirely as it doesn't deliver anything.

yes , very much. Whats the point in a queue which does not move, it is as good as not having it.
Look I signed up for 3895 and that queue is not all moving but other queues for 3080 have some movement even though it is slow.
Now we see that only queues that are moving are of higher  priced sku's.   Its quite simple why not have only those queues to begin with, all of us would have signed for those queues.
It is not how fast or slow they are moving , but why have them and mislead ppl.

simply put, would you sign up for those queues now for which there is no movement?

Just to add to this, but all Ampere GPUs except the A100 are built by Samsung, which have most of their fabs in South Korea I think. Still yes, we are very much in a chip shortage, caused by numerous other factors.

That's a bit too simplistic. The reality is, there was an "Auto-Notify" button for every SKU, because that's all that button originally was - a way to notify you when the product came in stock. But, things went the way they did, demand (massively) outstripped supply, and eventually they decided to turn the "Auto-Notify" into a queue button (this was three weeks after launch). After they've shipped required stock to retailers, they're left with what goes to the queue. I agree that it feels bad to not see your SKU move, but it's not like they tricked anyone here. We've all learned at this point to sign up for every new model, and to go for the top models first.

3755 moves very fast recently is that because fewer people sign up at the later date or EVGA produced more of this SKU?

Likely more the former than the latter.

Exactly.  It's not like when EVGA was designing their various SKUs, they were anticipating a 9+ month shortage.  Another thing to note in regard to manufacturing, the larger variety of different products you create, the more it costs you per item.  This is due to lower volumes of each part and costs related to switching lines between product batches.  With such a short supply of silicon and other components facing intermittent shortages, it's not a surprise many of the lowest margin GPUs have dead queues.  Yes it sucks, and I bet the folks at EVGA don't feel great about it, but there's an unprecedented worldwide shortage, so there isn't much we can do about it.
