Probably several months at least. I have been in queue for the 3755, which seems to move more often than the one you are waiting for. Been in queue for that for almost 3 months. Expecting to have to wait for several more months, at least.

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2021/03/29 16:20:50 (permalink)
So which will hit first?

In the first slot       10G-P5-3898-KR 12/16/2020 10:23:06 AM PT No                3080 Hybrid Around 1 hour and 20 min away.
In the second slot   24G-P5-3998-KR 3/1/2021    11:15:34 AM PT No                The Big K, KingPin about 130 or so cards away.
In the Third slot      24G-P5-3978-KR 2/1/2021      8:55:46 AM PT No                3090 Hybrid that is still in the race.

Many other cards started the race, some never left the garage, some did one lap and went back into the garage and were never seen again.

These three look like the 3 that have the best chance of being filled this year.

So place your bets which to you think will finish, if any this year.

Much luck to all those still waiting.

There is a 4th slot, but no one knows when or where it might show up to the track, or if it will be more than a one lap run.

Read the warranty thoroughly so you understand what you are getting.
1. You get a recertified part, NOT a new one. (I doubt that EVGA repairs defective cards, so you probably get one that was working but was returned, e.g., in a tradeup.)
2. "Products sent in for RMA will be repaired and returned or replaced with a thoroughly tested recertified product of equal or greater performance - as compared to the originally registered graphics card - and without regard for the MSRP or technical specifications of the originally registered graphics card. Performance, for the purpose of determining a replacement, is based upon a combination of gaming performance and commonly-used synthetic gaming performance benchmarks"

So, if you send in a 3090, you might get a 6050 3 years from now, that is, you will get a mid-level card with performance that equals your original high end card. That isn't bad, but it may not be the card you want when the time comes
.
I don't mean to discourage anyone from buying an extended warranty, and I am not saying it is a bad deal, I'm just saying be sure to understand what you are buying before you make the decision so you are not disappointed later. Today, you could resell the recertified card for a decent price, but that won't be the case if new cards are in plentiful supply when your old card craps out.

Interesting topic when it comes to long term ownership.  Was thinking about this and wondering what it would look like if you had a 9-year-old card today that went bad, let's say a GTX680.  With the 10-year warranty you would get a card (with the strictest interpretation of the policy) that is at least equivalent in today's market.  Here's a rough estimate at 1080p taken from techpowerup reviews over the years: 680 is 60% the perf of a 980, 980 is 59% of the 1080, 1080 is 76% of the 2080, 2080 is 74% of the 3080.  The GTX680 is about 20% the performance of a 3080 at 1080p, give or take.  The GTX1650 would be a fair replacement that meets this policy.  They might send you something a little more powerful, at their discretion.  I still see 1060's on B-stock here and there, so maybe one of those.  Either way, I'd take it.

Probably several months at least. I have been in queue for the 3755, which seems to move more often than the one you are waiting for. Been in queue for that for almost 3 months. Expecting to have to wait for several more months, at least.

We have no shot. At this point we have to hope they release a 3070ti and get on the list in the first 10 minutes and we may get it within a few months.

Its been almost 6 months :(

Unfortunately the 3897 is still back on 9/21.  You still have months to wait for that card's queue to catch up your your registration date.  Sorry I don't have better news.

What about 9/21/2020. 11:39:34 am pt.😭😭 tired tho.

10:27 am here, we're almost there bro, hang on!

I feel terrible for people that pop in with a date in October or November!

I remember when this all started the news was basically, "most people will probably get their cards by January" and then it quickly escalated into the hell world we're currently stuck in. What a ride it's been.

Would you? Odds are that, if you had bought a GTX680, you would have bought a new card long before the GTX680 failed 9 years later. After all, you would have bought the GTX680 to play demanding games at high resolution. Would you still be playing a 9 year old game 9 years later? Would you be playing at lower frame rates and resolution than your opponents who had bought new cards? So, assuming that the most likely scenario is that you would sell the card before it fails, the real issue is whether you'd get any more for the card if you had bought an extended warranty.

I'm not a gamer. I mostly use my card for Photoshop. I have a 5 year old GTX 970. It is still okay for my needs. I would not be replacing it yet if I wasn't building a new computer. Right now, if it failed, I'd feel lucky to get a replacement under an extended warranty, but ONLY because of the difficulty of getting a new card. Otherwise, were I keeping the old computer, I'd just as soon pay the MSRP for a 3060 once I had to open the case to replace the failed GTX 970, especially since in normal times I could get the new card faster than I could get a warranty replacement.

Then, there is the matter of the bathtub curve (a graph of number of failures on the x-axis and age of product on the y-axis). On most products, there is a relatively high rate of failure when relatively new because of a defective part in the product, then a period of low failure rate during normal operation, followed by relatively high failure rates as the product reaches end of life. That's why extended warranties are a lousy buy on most products--they cover you for the period during which failure likelihood is low. And that's why many stores push hard to sell the extended warranty, which is often more profitable to the retailer than is selling the actual product.

All that being said, the desirability of buying an extended warranty depends on the cost, the likelihood that your product will fail during the period of the extended warranty, and the value to you of the replacement.

To be fair, mine was a hypothetical scenario discussing what EVGA would send you and not whether or not I'd still be using a 680 after nine years.  Everyone has their own use case and justification.

It is possible that I may have a card that long.  Considering that I plan to keep my 1080Ti a while longer, I wish it had an extended warranty.  10 years may be overkill, but 5-7 years would be nice.  It's already 4 years old and has a lot of life yet for 1080p gaming.

FWIW...a little while back I asked EVGA what a replacement for my old 590 Classified ($750 - 1.5GB VRAM) would be. It was the last GPU they offered with a lifetime warranty. They guessed that it would probably be replaced with a GTX 1650 (~$160 - 4GB VRAM).

All that being said, the desirability of buying an extended warranty depends on the cost, the likelihood that your product will fail during the period of the extended warranty, and the value to you of the replacement.

Some products are more prone to failure and I think warrant the minimal fee to get at least 2 more years of piece of mind.  The hybrids for example come to mind with questionable quality pumps and long term evaporation.  I RMA'd a 3090 KingPin because of damage to the radiator and now I have to deal with a loud/whining pump sound on the second unit (the radiator is not damaged this time though!).  For sure I don't think this pump will last the full 5 years.  I'm not doing an RMA right away again because the card is working, mostly not annoying me for the time being (not gaming much due to illness), and there is a long queue - RMAs seem to take a queue spot (mine shipped same day as people got theirs on the queue.).

I wasn't trying to give you or anyone else advice. I was just raising issues people might want to consider in deciding whether to buy an extended warranty.

I hope your 1080TI keeps working as long as you wish to use it. If that happens, the extended warranty would have only bought you some peace of mind.

That raises another consideration: it might be a better bet to buy an extended warranty for someone who planned to aggressively overclock, mine 24 hours a day, or otherwise place more stress on the card than someone like me who just uses the card as it came from the factory for a few hours a day.

Not buying an extended warranty is self-insuring for the period of the extended warranty. Normally, on average, that will be cheaper. The strongest reason for buying an extended warranty is if you would be unable to buy a replacement card if your card failed. That could be either because you could not afford the price or because, like now, replacement cards are unavailable at a reasonable price.

The only one of those that has moved at all has been the 3885, about 3-4 weeks ago, moved about 17 minutes.

Reminiscing a bit. I remember at the beginning of January, how excited I was that the 3885 was less than a day away from my signup time. I was so positive that I would actually see that 3080 in my hands before the end of January. What a depressing 3 months it's been, chuck full of NOPE, Nadda, Zippo, Ziltch and a whole lotta NOTHING.

I've been creeping for a few weeks on this forum and I don't understand what EVGA is doing... are they giving us Priority or are they making what they can to be sent out to 3rd parties and just to keep us happy they throw a few of the not so popular ones for us to snag up... How many people do you think got on here and actually signed up for this. I just don't see them being very generous with what they have and I'm so sick of waiting I sold my 2080 super, which was a FTW3 I only got 700$ for it :( right at launch to buy a 3080, I know i was stupid and Naïve but I have been stuck with crappy onboard video since and I just cant believe its been 6 months and I have had no luck. I seriously have had to give up gaming which was a major hobby of mine Pre-30 series launch. I have been so thoroughly upset by this whole situation and am just Hopeless at this time. Does anyone have a card they would be willing to sell for not an outrageous price over retail like I could do 20% over $$. I'm just so desperate to be able to game again. Please help me!!!!

Somebody asked Jacob about 3080 ftw hybrids and he responded "1-2 weeks for more"

I hope some drops this week so his original comment about them dropping at the end of this month holds true. Lately though, it's been rather disappointing. His comment about HC queue being reopened last week never happened either.

It's just how it is... yeah, it sucks, but lots of people want these cards. More people are at home this year, more people are working from home, and more people are buying these cards, as well as other products that are using the same fabrication process. The demand outstrips the supply. EVGA sends product they are under contractual obligations for to third-party retailers, and the rest is sold through the queue. If they could sell everything through their own store they would - why wouldn't they want to net 100% of the profits? If your only issues are that you can afford a GPU and can't get your hands on one, well, things could be far worse. We all need to put things into perspective.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the community spreadsheet ☺️. I hope you all get your card soon!

Yes we do but lets see do you have a GPU ATM?... i would really like to know how many people on here don't have a GPU at all and there only problem is that they cant upgrade. I was double screwed and yes I know that is my own fault but i never expected any of this nor did anyone eles... consumers only i mean. Lets not forget that i cant even game so yah i would have considered myself lucky if i would of still had my 2080 super... then a week after i was like ohhh no i made a huge mistake! There has been so many games come out that i would love to try out... I don't even have access to a console ATM... The only thing i can do is sit and watch streamers and wish i could play just a few hours a week. I know it seems like I'm trying to pull a pity party but you make out like I got a card... If it don't really matter to you I'm sure you got an extra one laying around. also why have you only got 36 post since 2016 and your now an associate???? Jumping on the bandwagon?

It used to be a joke, but I believe it is "the way" now that the miners and scalpers are getting the bulk of the cards. GeForce Now (that stupid cloud gaming crap they keep pushing). Play the game, with minimal to no GPU local. Works well.... if you are close to their server... and have a great ISP.

Pretty sure that most of us, if not all of us, know the basics of why it is. Still pretty foggy when/if it will ever get better (right now I am leaning on the "if" more than the "when" on it getting better). I am just venting a bit, and annoyed that I probably will never see a 3080, as by the time things "get better" the 3080 will no longer be made, instead I will be looking at 3070 TI/Super or if I manage to snag a bit more money maybe..... maybe I might be able to afford a 3080 TI, but the 3080's all went to miners, and scalpers.
