mikelb Me to I am putting back money to buy a scalper card now I can't really wait any longer.
If you need one now and can’t wait at all then this will be your only route of getting a card. Otherwise there are plenty of other options for getting one besides the queue but you will pay above msrp either way

Who’d of ever thought it would be equally difficult to buy either a video card or ammunition at MSRP? Neither is on store shelves and backorders are getting longer by the day. My two 3060 TIs are waiting since Dec 2020 and I have ammo backorders from September 2020. It’s almost a race to see which might get filled first. Crazy times. But hey, I have toilet paper!

I wouldn't give anyone my account. I would buy and swap the item to someone, because I didn't really have a preference on which 3060 came first. Not for a profit, but not at a loss. The eu queue seems super dry. I see it as more of a give-away someone did a couple of months back. This guy spoke up, I said PM me. Don't worry your brain cells if you aren't the person I directed that towards.

Also, my goodness. EVGA is all over shipping. Your wait may be long, but the customer service once your time comes is exceptional from my take so far. I didn't opt for next day shipping or anything since that would have still been Monday, but they are on it. Cheers EVGA staff.

Linus (LTT) just announced on his show that his Verified Actual Gamer program is in talks with EVGA to provide some cards through that channel. He mentions Jacob too. Still early, but FYI for those interested. Source: WAN Show 3/26.

What is the verified actual gamer program? Does it work similarly to the queue?

It's just Linus's own store selling cards at cost to supposed "real gamers" When he announced it, I watched every video to see when it would actually happen, when it did in a recent video, I was already too late since he only had like 100 or something. Not worth it to me to watch all his videos all the way through when they upload for that tiny chance personally.

Sounds like a marketing campaign for both EVGA and Linus. Not sure that the EVGA 30 series needs more promotion these days...they are selling every card they can produce....

They are selling nVidia and AMD stock, including CPUs, Mobos, and GPUs, though like above said, limited stock. To purchase they give a link, you have to answer some gamer questions, if you get through the gauntlet of questions and there are stock left, you got an MSRP GPU/CPU/MoBo.

Oh okay, that makes sense. So there's still a first come, first serve aspect to it. That's a good way to help actual people get cards rather than bots though so pretty neat

Marketing campaign or not, I agree, it's neat and thoughtful. I'm sure it will bring them good publicity, but Linus has never shown evidence to my knowledge that he doesn't care about actual gamers. On the contrary, he comes right out and calls the big companies on their shenanigans quite frequently when they are due. I firmly believe they mean well with this program, and even if it's 100 here and 100 there, it's a lot of real gamers getting MSRP cards instead of bots getting them.

Just finished a new PC build. There is one temporary EVGA part in this build... my old 1080ti FTW3. Once I am able to replace that card it will be the first PC I've built in over a decade that didn't include some EVGA parts. I'm still in the queue for a 3080 FTW3 Gaming, but I have no illusions that EVGA is going to come through. They set up the grandfathered in price and then only sent out 3080 FTW3 Gaming cards to retailers and left all of us in the queue high and dry. Not some of us... ALL of us. They bought a few months of good will with the idea that they were going to try and meet demand (I was foolish enough to believe them), but they didn't. I realize they have obligations to retailers, but they have obligations to their long time customers too. Over a decade of brand loyalty squandered. I'm in another queue for an Asus Strix 3080 and I fully expect Asus to fulfill my order first. If EVGA comes through ahead of Asus, I'd be absolutely shocked.

While I don't believe that EVGA is holding stock back for any date in particular, I am actually fine with paying the increased prices. It's still way less than MSI or ASUS wants for their cards and is also less than any AMD card.

I get the frustration. Let's be honest though. This is more on nVidia than any particular AIB. It's been a tough year. I'm definitely beating the drums to get the card I really want, but it's real people putting this together. In factories, in logistics, delivering parts. If you think evga is pandering, whatever. I think they're doing what they can, and yes, they have other obligations as well. Would you have preferred to work in a factory the past six-eight months? Probably not, but maybe you did. No idea. It's just a mess for a lot of reasons. I can vent for days on the state of things, but I think it's not entirely fair to blast evga because your card isn't coming as fast as you'd like. It's just more nuanced than that. Best of luck to you in getting whatever gpu that gives you a build you love.

Mildly worried. When I checked out said card would arrive Sat. Got Update, still set for Sat.
But a few hors ago go update saying Tuesday, maybe. The tracking looks like it has never left EVGA warehouse though. Just curious if anyone else is getting odd shipping and tracking info.

Every single EVGA card I have purchased and shipped ground has been delayed at least a day. EVGA does a pretty good job getting them out the door, but UPS is a mess since Covid. I literally have received things late and beat to hell way more often than on time and not smooshed. That being said, the 3060 I received last week was pristine, albeit 2 days later than quoted, but that's not on EVGA, they got it out same day.

I can only share what UPS has shared. They seem to be on it, but it wouldn't surprise me if you hit a slight cut-off point in the day. Do not fear, it will arrive. A day late? Maybe. Amazon used to be the bee's knees with shipping. They aren't anymore. A hiccup or two is not out of the question. On the Way 03/27/2021 12:26 A.M. Yeah it is way less and the fact that they are even waiting until April is incredible. The tariffs went into effect starting January 1st. This is a courtesy from EVGA. All of us would love to pay old msrp but to think that they are holding them back in a massive way is ignorant. Just look at the queue updates. Also if you follow any sort of instock discord threads you'll see they have been still stocking their other contracted vendors. Amazon, walmart, best buy and microcenter have all been getting stock.

murrayd222 Who’d of ever thought it would be equally difficult to buy either a video card or ammunition at MSRP? Neither is on store shelves and backorders are getting longer by the day. My two 3060 TIs are waiting since Dec 2020 and I have ammo backorders from September 2020. It’s almost a race to see which might get filled first. Crazy times. But hey, I have toilet paper!
hmmm, I wonder if I can buy a 3080... with ammo?
Now that would be an explosive deal! 😉

@enewt : Thanks a lot for the charts! You not have the current EU waitlist at hand by chance? I have applied since January for a 3060ti, among others, and maybe... just maybe... someone else will have a turn before me ;) (... well, getting a new RTX 3070 oder 3080 is probably a pipe dream at the moment.) Thanks again. 08G-P5-3751-KR 2/21/2021 5:30:09 AM PT No 08G-P5-3767-KR 2/20/2021 12:15:01 AM PT No 08G-P5-3755-KR 2/15/2021 3:51:00 AM PT No 08G-P5-3663-KR 1/19/2021 1:46:11 AM PT No 08G-P5-3667-KR 1/19/2021 1:45:49 AM PT No

There’s an EU list kept by BovineGamer (I think) might be a good bet to check in that thread.

Edit: just found the list... I cannot post it because the forum keeps deleting the link for whatever reason ... but enewt refers to it in his footer line. Thanks again.
