Stop being so negative. The chip suppliers said all along that demand would outpace supply into Q2 2021. If we get into July and the 3897 queue is still stuck in October, get back to me then.

Errr we will reach December at this rate and the queue will still be in October / November that's for sure... Shortage will last for a veryyyyyyyyyyy long time, way past Q2 I'm sure.

At the rate we are going currently, I think this is pretty realistic. I signed up for 3897 in November and it doesn't look like I'll be getting one any time soon. I don't know what you've heard about microcenter but they haven't had much lately either. I've been to the one in Houston twice now and left empty handed both times. The first time was 2 weeks ago, I got there 3 hours before open and was like 30th in line, they go zero cards that day. I went back again this morning, was there 4 hours before opening and I was like number 40 in line, they only got 6 cards today. The lines are super competitive there too, I talked to the guys at the front of the line and they said they had been camped there since 10am the day before (and there is no way in hell I'm doing that). A buddy of mine did score a 3070 there a week ago, but he went down there 7 different times over the course of several weeks before he finally lucked out and got one.

Not really no. Already have a sweet EVGA PSU. The 3657 wouldn't even really be an upgrade over my 1080Ti FTW3 DT. Would be able to experience ray tracing but at the cost of fps. Really got to go 3070 or higher to make it worthwhile.

My experience (Rockville, MD) has been closer to zeeman’s as well. The only time I’ve got exact numbers (from the store workers) they got a total of 5 cards from all manufacturers and all chipsets.
