That 4 days on the 3070 gives me hope I'll at least make it before my EVGA elite coupon expires! Only needs to do that several more times

I hope that when the times comes to sign up for the  4xxx series I'll be in that first 90 seconds, and not in the "couple of months late to the party" segment :/

“Ran for cover”? SMH
I remember the guy you picked a fight with. You misrepresented what he said too. Ok, going back to ignoring the mobile page.

Yes, ran for cover, as in, blocked me because I said something that you don't like. I didn't misrepresent anything. I was responding to a one liner and it's all there for everyone to see.

I never picked a fight with anyone. I just called a scalper a scalper, blocked them, and moved on. I didn't beat them over the head about it. In fact, I never said another word about it until now.

I can see that you're mad and not interested in having a conversation at this point. For the sake of everyone else here, let's just move on and you can ignore me if it makes you feel better. Seriously though, none of this is worth getting mad about.

I got my notification for an RTX 3070 FTW3 ULTRA GAMING
today! I really had given up on it. I got a pretty good deal on a  used 2070
a little while back so I was resigned to waiting however long it took for the market
to come around. This is a pleasant surprise!
Any opinions on what a good but not exploitation price I should ask for
a Strix 2060?
Thanks to everyone here who tried to show me the ropes of this site.

check EBay for such cards, make your own mind about the price, post it with good photos and may the odds be in your favor, congratulations on the FTW3 card, welcome to the club :D

Hi to all, this is my first post so I'm sorry if I'm doing something wrong... EU (Italian) user btw.
Anyway, I'm here to say that yesterday I was apparently been able to order a 3060ti xc, subscribed to the notification on 7/12/20 I also have a FTW3 subscription for the same day.
Paid yesterday with PayPal, shout out to evga for having asked the original price I know they made a post on January to say that, but still it's much appreciated.
Order is still "Waiting to process", but I've received through PayPal this morning the shipping code of DHL which is already active despite the package not been shipped, so, I'm here to ask two things:
1) There will be other costs, like customs cost? 22% IVA is already paid...
2) Anyone knows how much it takes to arrive? I'm not in a hurry, just curiosity.
Thanks in advance for your help =)

There’s a ship lies rigged and ready in Taipei harbour.
Tomorrow for L.A. she sails
She’s full of EVGA GPU cards.
She’s loaded to the rafters, with all the SKUs.

She'll wait in line for months to be unloaded
While gamers wait in endless queues of hell.
The scalpers grab all the new cards
And mark them up before they sell

The gamers wait astewing
Their pixel dreams all gone to hell.
And Biden’s keeping up the tariffs
Making even the Shuffle prices smell.

Even then I never get a card
Can’t I get one before I die?
They say “Just keep waiting”
But the cards remain in the sky.

Nonetheless, as one of the more sensible queue members said: "It's a GPU, not a liver."

I know someone who is waiting for a liver. We here are so lucky that we are just waiting for graphics cards.

I tend to lean on information that comes directly from the source. In this case, Nvidia. The rest of it is just noise. I don't care what some blogger named "Darklord", or whoever it was in that link that someone posted, says about chip delays unless they provide some links (they didn't). There is a lot of misinformation out there. A lot of spin, and predictions based on assumptions by people who don't actually have information that nobody else has (even though they claim to). Nvidia said it would be bad until into Q2 2021. Let's see how it goes until then. I expect them to put out another press release between now and the start of summer. If they say it's time to freak out, I'll freak out. Otherwise, I'm going to exercise patience and wait until I hear something from those who are actually making the chips that will be attached to the GPU that I eventually get.

The automobile chip shortage is very real problem in the short term, and I don't think anyone here is going to refute that. Fortunately, it sounds like it's more of a concern for auto manufacturers vs. GPU seekers.

good morning hopeful shoppers maybe we will have better luck today. Remember that we are here for the same reason of wanting GPU's. Please remember that we all want something that is in extremely high demand and supply to make them has been affected by many different things. Hope that things will get better as more things and places get back to a more normal again. good luck today to all

Well with the reports that the shortage may last into 2022 I guess I'm in it for the long haul and will just hang out and wait for my queue time to come up as it will happen some day.

I mean, it's not as though it's hard to find other sources instead of trying to find reasons to discredit anything that doesn't match your narrative.

That said, if you want to have a Pollyanna view of the future on this front, that's fine.  I'd personally warn anyone looking to get a GPU that the queue is not likely to produce results if they got in weeks or months late until the products are openly available on shelves -- and that's not likely to happen until some point next year.  Reality is better than an abundance of optimism that wilts into "OMG EVGA is scamming us because it's been nine months and no GPU!!!"  Certainly no harm in joining the queue but I'd settle in for a long, long wait and keep my options open.

I keep seeing people posting something but it's blank with a big ''APPROVAL PENDING'' button on the post... Why is that? Are those people on a leash or something?

Also: anyone knows why we don't see Jacob posting the daily drops anymore? Is he on vacations? Abducted by Aliens? Left EVGA and is now on the Gamestop board?

But isn't Intel limited to 14 or 10 um or something like that?  Maybe they can pickup some of the low end chip production for like automotive but I don't think they are even capable of handling the nVidia stuff.  That could potentially free up some fab capacity at TSMC and Samsung though.  Maybe...

Their 10nm is not very good but they have a lot of 14++++++++++.....
I think intel is also working on 7nm as well.

That's what I was thinking. Depends on the pricing but if auto makers/others jump on board that could free up capacity not only on Samsung 8nm/TSMC 7nm but also the other nodes as well. Bringing back some Turing cards would help alleviate gpu shortages.

Interesting article on the GPU shortage:  https://www.pcworld.com/article/3612693/a-perfect-storm-why-graphics-cards-cost-so-much-now.html

The key takeaway for me was the idea of using a cloud gaming service in place of a GPU while waiting for your queue notify.  Testing it on my work computer (just Intel graphics) and it's not too bad.  Definitely need to test it some more today instead of doing actual work.

I suggested this way back in Oct/Nov, also with the joke conspiracy theory that it was a ploy to get GeForce Now off the ground  :p

I'll see if I can snag a couple 3080Ti's at launch, if not I'll wait for 40 series. I'm not dealing with this 30 gen bs anymore.

This hobby gets expensive...

It's painful waiting with no GPU, I'm still using my integrated gpu after my zotac gpu got burned 4 weeks ago. And now I'm still waiting the queue and it takes for ever and can't even play anything.
