I would love to know what the approximate number of EVGA units have been sold verses how many are signed up in the QUE. I have been trying to be patient but this is ridiculous, I am truly starting to think the QUE is EVGA's lowest priority which if true is very sad as most of us here have supported EVGA for many years and some for a decade such as myself. I have purchased 11 GPU's and 1 motherboard from EVGA since 2009 3080 FTW3 Ultra Hybrid 3898 12/16/ 2020 09:05:12 (00:00:02) How many units could possibly have been sold when the QUE has only moved 5:12 minutes in the last 2+ months. My Que for the 3898 is 12/16-9:11 which means my wait is only half over, so maybe, just maybe I will see one in late summer at best, probably much longer though. The way things are going, I will never see a 3897 since I didnt sign up until 9/29 I have read replies saying things will pickup once EVGA gets past the initial first rush of orders, One would think that EVGA has made it through the first onslaught of orders from 3897 and 3895 from September UGH! I know we are all in the same boat but cmon this is ridiculous and bordering on professional incompetence.

And the newegg product-shuffle is back today. Up for your very slim chance of getting the opportunity to buy are (no evga cards, so maybe just stopgap if you only buy evga): 3060, 3060ti, 3070, and a 3090. Mostly MSI (couple of ASUS), so the pricing is not in your favor. Opens in about 12 minutes.

I think this queue system is the most fair out of all the ways to get a GPU these days. I personally don’t have a bot to monitor the entire internet and I don’t have the time to hit refresh all day on all the online stores that have GPUs in stock for 1 second before selling out. We’re all in this together, so let’s keep expectations in check and have a good time while we wait. Just my two cents.

EVGA is prioritizing their queue. We are in one of the biggest chip shortages right now and it's not EVGA's fault that we cant get GPUs. Jacob and the EVGA team are trying their best to make as many as possible.

They have different skus to make and contracts with retailers take bulk supplies. The supply limitations are from Nvidia not EVGA. Current priority is probably: Retailers/system integrators > RMA > Queue > Step up

enewtAnd while the queue system remains the worst gpu purchasing system in the world...except for all the others... Queue is not a very fair system. This is why it does not in favor in the US. Lottery system is much more fair and provides equal opportunity.
No the lottery isn't equal opportunity. Queue guarantees everyone gets a turn, based on when they signed up. It's not a political issue or an economic system issue. It's a queue. And queues have existed forever no matter where you are. If you don't know what a queue is, go buy something at a busy store and see how jumping ahead in line works for ya. A made up story about anthropomorphic political system characters isn't proof of anything.
I think people would feel less frustrated if EVGA at least acknowledged what went down in Europe for the RTX 3060. The EU customer who joins the queue and visits the forum sees US customers having movement in their queues and a friendly staff who keeps them informed about what's going on, while he has none of those things. It creates a sense of unfairness which can only result in more frustration over what is an already annoying situation. All we have been told was that the stock that was meant for our queue was instantly sold to bots by the German EVGA staff. It may or may not be a rumor, we have no way of knowing the truth because no one from EVGA either confirms or denies it. Tell me, if this was happening for the card you signed up for and cared about, how would you feel?

Urobulus Yeah waiting for the 3080Ti too here, can't imagine it will be much longer now before they announce them... Wondering how much more powerful they will be though over the FTW3 Ultra.
I've always had great luck with the TI series in the past.

I just came across this at Reddit, Do you think the figure are anywhere near to being true? If so Good Luck on getting a card with 500,000 people in que Link to post:https://www.reddit.com/r/...as_over_500000_unique/EVGA's Notify Queue has Over 500,000 Unique Notification Requests since the 3080 Launch Discussion EVGA's queue system uses an incrementing counter for every requested notification. This system applies to all products on the EVGA website. Despite this, it can be used as a rough gauge for overall demand. You can see the IDs of your entries on the MyNotifies page. https://www.evga.com/community/myNotifies.aspTo see it, you can inspect-element the page and see the ID attached to the remove button. Using this data from my own notifies and some data from other people, I was able to determine the approximate length of the queue. Remember, this is for ALL EVGA products that people signed up for notifications on, not any individual card. As of 9/17 @ 7am notifies were at ~1140000 As of 9/21 @ 5pm, notifies were at ~1210000 As of 10/6 @ 7pm, notifies were at ~1370000 As of 10/7 @ 7pm, notifies were at ~1445000 As of 10/23 @ 2pm, notifies were at ~1590000 This shows us that there is almost 500,000 unique notifications between 9/17 @ 7am and today on the EVGA store alone. While we can't assume that all notification requests are for a 3000 series card, we can assume the majority are. What could be interesting is mapping out the total number of requests vs date. We could use that to roughly map ID + date + card to where the ACTUAL queue position is. Edit: I can't do basic subtraction. That's 450,000 not 500,000. Either way, it's still a gigantic queue.

Lebon14 This might steer some discussion. New 3080 Ti rumor that it also has the (useless) mining barriers from the recent 3060. Source: https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3080-ti-to-get-limited-for-cryptocurrency-mining-performance-also.html I guess it's a matter of time before thet get announced and released...
I think the way this is going to play out is that NVidia won't hardware block it (because they're not going to physically change anything about the chips and all that would involve). It'll be a driver block (so software). Anyone that has a card because they mine 24/7 and so don't care about gaming will circumvent that software block easily every time NVidia puts it in a driver. The only people who it will effect will be gamers who also want to mine on the side because they won't want to mess with flip/flopping drivers or installing "hacked" drivers from shady sources. So it'll have zero impact where they're trying to make an impact. The only thing that might have an impact is their new "mining" compute cards but ONLY if the miners calculate that it's a better return on investment.

This. The one concession I'd grant a little is that there are some people out there who had no intention of buying a 30-series card until something happened to their hardware. They couldn't plan ahead if they had no intention of buying a new card for another generation or two before the chaos of this release happened. For those people, they might come here and see that EVGA has done at least something(s) to help customers who were following Jacob or closely enough to get on the first few minutes/hours of some queues to get a card. That does nothing to help those who signed up this week or last week for a new 3080/70/90. They might say "well, they're not helping me, system is garbage". We know different, but their dissatisfaction remains. They are forced to use shuffles, drop bots, etc. to try and find something. To be fair, I think that's true of anybody who's in a hurry. I'm not saying they'd be right to come in here and just bash everyone and everything because they can't get their way. I'm just saying there are a few people who didn't have the opportunity to plan ahead, prepare themselves, and F5 the queue page at 9amPT the day of release, but now find this as one more closed avenue for them. I feel bad for those folks, and I know there are some of you in here in that situation...almost none of you act that way though, so I just want to say thank you for that as well. This is overall a positive and helpful community, which is why I still come in here even though I'm just about the last person on the 3898 queue and I already skipped the 3897 notification I got because I don't need a new graphics card right now. It might be helpful later this year, but not right now and I wanted someone else who needed it more than I do to have it.

Hitch_Itch I just came across this at Reddit, Do you think the figure are anywhere near to being true? If so Good Luck on getting a card with 500,000 people in que Link to post: https://www.reddit.com/r/...as_over_500000_unique/ EVGA's Notify Queue has Over 500,000 Unique Notification Requests since the 3080 Launch
Discussion
EVGA's queue system uses an incrementing counter for every requested notification. This system applies to all products on the EVGA website. Despite this, it can be used as a rough gauge for overall demand. You can see the IDs of your entries on the MyNotifies page. https://www.evga.com/community/myNotifies.aspTo see it, you can inspect-element the page and see the ID attached to the remove button.Using this data from my own notifies and some data from other people, I was able to determine the approximate length of the queue. Remember, this is for ALL EVGA products that people signed up for notifications on, not any individual card.As of 9/17 @ 7am notifies were at ~1140000As of 9/21 @ 5pm, notifies were at ~1210000As of 10/6 @ 7pm, notifies were at ~1370000As of 10/7 @ 7pm, notifies were at ~1445000As of 10/23 @ 2pm, notifies were at ~1590000This shows us that there is almost 500,000 unique notifications between 9/17 @ 7am and today on the EVGA store alone. While we can't assume that all notification requests are for a 3000 series card, we can assume the majority are. What could be interesting is mapping out the total number of requests vs date. We could use that to roughly map ID + date + card to where the ACTUAL queue position is.Edit: I can't do basic subtraction. That's 450,000 not 500,000. Either way, it's still a gigantic queue.
I'll let someone else monkey around with the 'remove' button lol. I'm not getting near that thing ;)

bjmullins So for the 3060 my queues are:
12G-P5-3655-KR 2/25/2021 10:51:18 AM PT 12G-P5-3657-KR 2/25/2021 10:50:55 AM PT
Trying to estimate my place, what is the best guess of when I will get notified??

I'm assuming, based on yesterday, that this is another straggler day.

Alright! Got myself a 3060 (57) to replace my 980Ti. 12G-P5-3657-KR 2/25/2021 9:12:12 AM PT Yes Now to wait much more patiently until a 3080 is available through the queue. Maybe I'll try that step-up program... Thank you all for keeping this thread going!

Typically fridays dont have drops so my guess is a straggler day maybe Newegg usually doesnt do the shuffle on fridays either but here they are offering some 3060s/3070s as well as a 5900x/5950x. I hope there is movement today but I wouldnt be disappointed if not.

UrobulusAnd a lottery system wouldn't be fair at all: why would someone who JUST go in said ''lottery'' should have an equally chance than me and others who've been waiting for months to get one? Get out of here with your ''fair'' ideas lol! In lottery case if you waited months, then you had a chance to get card on this months. When newly registered hadn't. So, it still fair. I am not talking about to change system from queue to lottery and move all people from queues to lottery. If EVGA will decide to change system for existing products - queues should be served first. And because it already moths and months and months of waiting it just doesn't make sense. But for future releases it is a good alternative.
