My reminder post for the morning: Good luck on the drops today guys, just some reminders:
- Don't forget to use an Associate's Code during checkout, it will save you 3% off your GPU purchase, and up to 10% on other purchases. All you have to do is use the code at checkout (a few useful ones: Mine: 47AQQ6KPU2IZNXY - Enewt's: VDN2319M4O569J4 ) or click the links there & it will make a cookie to insert the code automatically during checkout, then when you receive your card, be sure to register it & upload your invoice from the EVGA order page.
- Keep in mind if you're ordering a Hybrid card: the tubing is 400mm in length, and the radiator + fan combo is about 56mm thick; Hybrid card radiator exhaust can be in excess of 34-38C air, having it setup as intake is not recommended even in a CPU AIO/GPU AIO setup, as unless you have a very high core count CPU that puts out more than 400W of heat, the GPU radiator will always be the hotter of the two.
- If you purchase a card elsewhere, it's best not to remove your notify queues until you receive the card, just to be on the safe side, as if you do remove it then have to requeue, you would be at the back of the line. Once you receive your card & remove yourself from other queues, kindly let us know which cards you removed yourself from queue for, so that others in those queues know they've effectively moved up a spot.
- It is recommended that you have, at the bare minimum, a quality 750W (or in my opinion, 850W) PSU for a 3080, and at least a 850W (or in my opinion, 1000W) PSU for a 3090, especially if you plan to overclock your CPU and/or other components at all. Keep in mind that OCed CPUs quickly go up in power draw in most cases, i.e. a 95W TDP CPU like a 9900K can get up to 170-190W of draw from a simple 5GHz OC like mine. Even if you're running a 3080 on a stock system, I would definitely recommend against going with less than 750W at a bare minimum, just to avoid any future issues.

Dabadger84 Yeah I'm waiting for the Samsung G9 49" Monitor to come back in stock at/around MSRP on Amazon so I can pre-order it from there. They've had it listed for as low as $1299 recently, I just didn't pull the trigger because I didn't want to be borderline on having the funds ready for the Kingpin if my spot in queue gets called, but thanks to the passage of time, I can get both now if I want to. Hoping the G9 comes back in stock at the December-low of $1199 but we'll see. I can't wait for my vertigo to get triggered by that 1000R curve + super ultrawide resolution. lol
I have this monitor, NO motion sickness, VERY bright (too bright without adjustments). AWESOME for editing primer files, and playing cyberpunk and flight sim.

Yeah I have a vertigo problem from a concussion/neck injury I suffered in High School that was then made worse by 2 whiplash car wrecks, it happens during the most random things (i.e. looking UP at tall buildings), I have a 34" Alienware with a 1800R curve currently, I'm just expecting the 1000R curve with the wider screen to trigger it until I get used to it. I'm fully expecting the monitor to be awesome for immersive/open world games like Cyberpunk, Witcher 3, Dragon Age Inquisition, etc - really looking forward to it though I know it'll take some adjusting to. It's another reason why I want the Kingpin, running 2x 1440p resolution is gonna be rough on the GPU especially in a game like Cyberpunk, my 3090 FTW3 Hybrid already just barely keeps FPS up where I deem acceptable (30-60) at 3440 x 1440 with max settings, I can only assume adding another half a monitor worth of pixels in essence is going to be a decent performance hit again.

Your RAM & Chipset & VRMs gonna be toasty :-D But if that's the only way you can run it, that's the only way you can run it. I assume you have a case that can only fit one radiator at the top & one radiator at the front? You can always try reversing the top radiator's fan-flow to intake, then put the front as exhaust, just to see how temps are both ways... bit of a pain to do that fan rearranging, but finding what is best for your system temps wise is worth a little hassle imo.

i have one of those cheap i buy power cases but i really like the simplicity. i can only fit a single radiator up top and up to a triple in the front. it has 4 intake fans and 2 exhaust so right in the front upper is where i was planning on putting the hybrid rad. temps sre really cool now but i also don’t have a beast of a card in there yet. if temps are not up to par i’m thinking of doing dual pressure fans in the front and back of the radiator and pumping up the exhaust fans. as long as the cpu temps stay under 75 i can deal. right now i sit at 50 while gaming, occasional 8° spike, but never have been over 60

could I have the front as intake and the top and bottom as exhaust. The aio radiator at the top and the gpu radiator at the bottom?

You don't want an AIO radiator mounted below the point at which the pump is. That will result in increased pump wear & noise, because the air in the loop will get trapped at the top of the loop, which would cause pump failure after a while. Bottom mounting radiators in anything but a fully open loop (that has a reservoir that can trap the air so it doesn't get in to the loop during operation) is a bad idea. You could probably do bottom intake fans then have both the GPU & CPU radiator (front & top) as exhaust, just make sure the bottom fans are set to a higher speed than the CPU & GPU radiator fans so you're not creating excessive exhaust pressure. Always a good idea to try out multiple fan intake/exhaust configurations to see what works best for your particular case/setup in your particular place, but definitely don't bottom-mount an AIO radiator.

Normally you do not want an exhaust on the bottom, especially if you are exhausting on the top they will fight. Intake bottom and front. Exhaust top and back.

It's not a good idea to have the pump as the highest point in the loop, so having the GPU radiator on the bottom is a bad plan. Your are better off with the CPU on the front, GPU on top and make it either CPU in/GPU out, or have the both being out and pulling in air from elsewhere in the case.
