Vegas82 Looks like I actually secured the FE from BB. I'm going to stay in queue until I actually have the card in hand and make sure there are no issues. If all goes well I'll remove myself next Wednesday.
How'd you managed to get the notification for it? I've managed to get a 3090 FTW3 Ultra from my local Microcenter recently, but it's still sitting sealed, since I'm hoping to get 3080 and not pay 100% more for 15% performance boost ... unless someone can convince me that it's worth the price difference.
Blind stupid luck, no notification. I just loaded the site right when they restocked and got super lucky.

syko82 YMMV but FWIW: * Get Hotstock.io app (or something similar) on your phone to notify you as soon as stock is appearing. * Setup your BB account and save a card on there to check out faster. * When stock is coming in, load a single product page and refresh until "Add to Cart" button shows up. * Once you click "Add to Cart" don't leave, don't reload, and don't load any other BB pages (on other tabs) just wait for it to pop up yellow and click. * Have your phone ready for text verification (this is to hinder the bots - so is in store pickups). * Checkout ASAP, sometimes you get issues saying pickup location isn't available. Just keep trying the checkout buttons. I've gotten to this page many times and sometimes it's because I tried way too late and other times due to a glitch. If you miss out, you always have the EVGA queue. * It'll take time, but the faster you get on after the notification and devote the next 10 minutes or so to just adding and checking out asap, you may have better luck.
Much appreciated!
This is all solid advice, and how I secured an Xbox Series X for myself before Thanksgiving and my friend's kid a few weeks later - especially the part about pickup "not available your location" once you make it that far. Just keep trying! Luckily I have 3 BB's roughly the same distance from me, so I'd alternate between them but it took multiple multiple cycles to get one location to stick. I didn't have any luck for a PS5 though. Which is for the best, I was just hooked on the chase more than I actually wanted one right away. And thanks to enewt's diligence, I also knew EVGA was about to blow a 3080 sized hole in my toy budget not long after their holiday break!

Really? I still see the 3080 FTW3 Ultra listed as $829, which is still $20 over MSRP, but nowhere near $100 price increase.

I've just about given up hope on this. My earliest notify is on the 3080 XC3 Black which, from appearances, isn't being made, and the others are months away from where the queues are now.
This is the lamest product launch I have ever lived through and I started in the Commodore Vic-20 days.
What strikes me as really stupid is the sheer volume of SKUs when they can't meet demand for any, and NVIDIA is still talking about new products, like a Ti series or a Super series. How about meeting current demand first?

Completely agree. I don't remember being this frustrated with trying to buy anything. First world problems and all, but damn it's crazy I can't buy an $800 product.

I know what would fix the scalping problem. All the retailers need to not announce the drop and add one zero to the back of the price making an $800 dollar card 8k and let the scalpers by the stock. Do these drops at random so that it is never known when that will happen. They should have done that at launch. That scalper that just bought a 100 cards at 8k a piece would not want his programs running all the time if he did not know what drops were setups. If they did that it would also be fun to be a fly on the wall to see the look on their face when it happened. to bad that is a fairytale and they would never do it.

I am in Canada so looking at Newegg.ca, it was $1155 last night and is now listed for $1299. We get screwed on prices in Canada.

Any major selling points for the 3080 FTW3 compared to the 3080 FE if I plan on slapping a waterblock on it? Managed to snag a 3080 FE from BB and I'm currently signed up for the notify queue/have a step up for a 3080 FTW3 ULTRA. Trying to decide if I should just leave the notify queue (After getting/confirming that my FE card works.) and then just sell off my 2080S HC (Or wait to trade up and then sell the 3080 FTW3 at MSRP.) EDIT: If it is worth it, I'll just wait for my autonotify queue email then sell the 3080 FE as well as my 3080 FTW3 step up at cost.

I got one today too. I follow this guy Warrior64 on twitter (also how a friend of mine got his card and his Xbox series X and PS5) and he seems to know before the bots that I follow online know. But also whether or not a card is actually available will depend on your location and whether or not that location is expecting inventory/ has inventory of the card you want. I've follow discord and other bots on twitter and the notifies are just too slow sometimes. Also - I wasn't signed in when I added to cart but because of the verification process (codes) I was able to get it into my cart, sign into my account, get code to verify my account, go through checkout, got sent another verification code for my credit card charge and boom it worked :) BB is trying! They really just have very limited supply normally and a lot of people are waiting and wanting these cards.

Hello to the one way queue void, 10/6/2020 and still waiting for an RTX 3080 ultra?! How long is this going to take folks? I know that you are shipping product to OEMs. I think this process is broken. What I think is going to happen is that when a 3080 SUPER or 3080ti comes out then you will want to unload the "old" inventory. Prove me wrong EVGA.... Phil

My only hope for a 3080 is the queue it seems. Every BB drop I get something in the cart I get the no store within 250 miles error. There will never be any cards sent to Alaska where there are two stores. With New egg I'm generally too slow although I did get luck early on with a 3070 drop and right before Christmas I'm pretty sure I got a 5800x because I didn't care if I got one, so I didn't try to be fast or even care if I didn't get it (I even had to reenter my CC number for newegg which is how I lost a 5950 one drop), and low and behold I got it. I'm still on the hunt for a 5950x and a 3800 but I'm upgraded enough for now. My son got the 3900x I had before and will get the 3070 and the 5800x if I can ever get the parts I'm looking for. I'm less than two hours away on the 3080 xc3 ultra queue but it doesn't look to be moving yet this week or for several weeks before the vacation. The hope of stockpiled parts doesn't seem to have happened.

I made it to the shopping cart for a 3080 FE at BB, just none available within 250 miles haha. The only other thing Id take than a EVGA is and FE, so I do check BB every now and then. Meanwhile, Death Stranding is looking great with DLSS on, 4k60fps with a RTX 2070 so no worries.

I have to say, this whole thing is really disheartening. The lack of supply is really mind-blowing. Who would ever have guessed that it would be so hard to spend $800, $1000, or darn near $2000 for a computer part? Crazy. Waiting for these queues to move is like watching paint dry, but there aren't a lot of other good options. Definitely a 1st World problem, but I really don't see how this situation is going to improve any time soon. I mean, because the supply is so limited, this just feeds the scalper community. Throw in the miners, and unless a crap ton of these cards show up all at one time, the limited supply is going to keep the scarcity and prices artificially elevated. It's crazy when you see on YouTube the number of cards a single crypto-miner has acquired, let alone that fact that there are literally hundreds of cards for sale on eBay/Amazon for crazy prices. And, like many of you, I also hate the fact that "new" models are pending, as this just perpetuates the problem (e.g., keeps the available supply low). Unfortunately, I don't really have any answers, other than to be patient with the queue system. Aside from that, I can only recommend that everyone resist buying a card from a scalper - the only real way to stop them is to make it unprofitable. There will always be those who will take advantage of others, so it's up to each of us to help curb that kind of behavior. At the end of the day, it's sad that those who would really enjoy these cards are being denied the chance due to a gross mismanagement of the supply chain. As I've said before, I appreciate EVGA's queue system, I just wish they would make more supply available to direct customers. I'm no fan-boy, honestly, but I have gotten great performance and long-term reliability out of my previous and current EVGA products. At least there's a chance here, since I personally am having zero luck catching anything on the regular retail sites (nor do I have the time just keep looking over and over). Stay patient, my friends, eventually we'll get there. :)

That's how I got my 5900X. Happened to see the add to cart button pop up at 8:35 a.m. literally while I was in line at a Microcenter finding out that they couldn't find their truck with the higher end CPUs on the 5000 series launch day. I had been in line all night waiting for my chance to buy a 5900X after a 12 hour drive.

So stockdrops just mentioned that evga is going to be increasing the price of their cards soon. I wonder by how much.
