What's a good way to stress test my 3090 FTW3 Ultra when it arrives? Any recommendations?

Ugh. Couldn't get any 3080s added to my cart during the Best Buy drop. I did manage to get a 3090 XC3 Ultra all the way to checkout, but I couldn't justify spending $1700+ (after taxes), so I didn't pull the trigger.
Back to random F5'ing and watching the queue. 
BB was really a joke. Stay in the queue.
Not at all. Reddit is full of people saying they got a card from BB. They probably sold a few thousands today.

Dabadger has some good advice (and will hopefully weigh in), but I would run some benchmarks early, consider doing some folding for 6 or more hours, a play a recent game or two at max settings.... You want to see it run for a few hours and get it warm (not hot per se). Best of luck.

3DMark is always good. I use unigine superpostion and valley as well.

From what I understand if you're seeing an Amazon drop, add to cart, and your cart is empty, you should spam F5 and press space to resubmit for about five minutes. Apparently Amazon trickles out the drops and a lot of people on Twitch streams have reported success this way.

Looks like I actually secured the FE from BB. I'm going to stay in queue until I actually have the card in hand and make sure there are no issues. If all goes well I'll remove myself next Wednesday.
How'd you managed to get the notification for it? I've managed to get a 3090 FTW3 Ultra from my local Microcenter recently, but it's still sitting sealed, since I'm hoping to get 3080 and not pay 100% more for 15% performance boost ... unless someone can convince me that it's worth the price difference.

I think your 9/5 date is wrong, did you mean 9/25? Regardless, the XC3 Ultra queue is currently up through 09/18/2020 07:07:00.

BB isn't a joke if you're prepared and quick. I have now ordered 2 cards from them and my brother got 1 as well. The queue is the best safety net that we have to eventually guarantee a card. It was always my backup plan. YMMV but FWIW: * Get Hotstock.io app (or something similar) on your phone to notify you as soon as stock is appearing. * Setup your BB account and save a card on there to check out faster. * When stock is coming in, load a single product page and refresh until "Add to Cart" button shows up. * Once you click "Add to Cart" don't leave, don't reload, and don't load any other BB pages (on other tabs) just wait for it to pop up yellow and click. * Have your phone ready for text verification (this is to hinder the bots - so is in store pickups). * Checkout ASAP, sometimes you get issues saying pickup location isn't available. Just keep trying the checkout buttons. I've gotten to this page many times and sometimes it's because I tried way too late and other times due to a glitch. If you miss out, you always have the EVGA queue. * It'll take time, but the faster you get on after the notification and devote the next 10 minutes or so to just adding and checking out asap, you may have better luck.

48 minutes in the queue is a lot of cards. Once the 3897 queue gets past 9/18 it will start moving more quickly. There is/was a massive bottleneck for the 3897 on 9/17-9/18. Fortunately, we are most of the way through it now.

48 minutes in the queue is a lot of cards. Once the 3897 queue gets past 9/18 it will start moving more quickly. There is/was a massive bottleneck for the 3897 on 9/17-9/18. Fortunately, we are most of the way through it now.
I'm sure it's quite a few cards going out, but it's not the "large" drop some of us were hoping for today. Compared to the drops on 11/23 and 11/24 where they chewed through several hours of queue, it doesn't appear to be said large drop.
