JoPeGame Hey enewt, I seem to recall you posting about EVGA being closed for the holidays but I can't find the dates... :( Do you remember when they go on break?
Orders placed after 12/23/20 at 2:00 PM will not ship until 1/5/21.
If that person who posted earlier about their notify being at 10:01 AM on 12/18 was for the 3080 FTW3 ultra, then I'm 45 minutes away. Here's to hoping I can get a notify before 12/23 at 2 PM!!!!
I believe the report was for the 3897, so, yes, it sounds like you are within 3/4 of an hour of the timeline. Best of luck next week.
I can bet you it wasn't for the 3897. If so EVGA has some explaining to do. 10G-P5-3897-KR 11/19/2020 5:52:40 PM PT No
He meant 9/18, I believe. I'll go back and check on it in a bit.
I meant 9/18 for sure, I believe that is what their post said, I just like to type too fast and have a mind of my own. They got their notify on 12/18 for a notify they added on 9/18 at 10:01 AM, for clarification. :)

Ah ok. Sorry if I didn't gather the whole picture. I was confused about being notified to on notify. My bad!

Received my soggy yesterday boys! I already had a RAD for my CPU and my initial game plan was to go for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra air but then I realized I signed up too late to be able to get my hands on it so I gave the Hybrid card queue a shot instead and it hit! Since I'm going to be running a double radiator set up, I took Badger's advice (thanks Badger!) and set the soggy up with a top rad mount to exhaust all that heat out of the system, with the CPU rad up front bringing air into the system (which is still warm but not as hot as the GPU air). Performance is incredible and very cool. I'm always in the 50s for temps when I game at everything on Ultra @ 1080p (new monitor coming in soon, don't grill me for having a 3080 and only playing 1080p so far ). Playing Warzone with everything on Ultra, rendering set to 1440P and I want to say I'm averaging somewhere a bit north of 110 FPS? That's on a stock 10850k and wait for the kicker...my RAM is still running @ 2133mhz cause I've been too lazy to bump it up to 3600mhz. Truth be told it's already so fast I haven't felt a need to bump it up yet xD One of my fans came cracked though, and there's quite a bit of coil whine but I've heard worse coil whine from other fans (I'm looking at you NZXT) and I'm gonna swap the fans out with Noctuas anyway so I really can't care for a cracked radiator fan. I'm just happy I got this bad boi! I might not even step up to the 3080 Ti cause it looks like I'll be able to OC this soggy into 3080 Ti territory :)

Thanks for reporting back. I love these stories. Sorry about the fan. You should be able to RMA that if you want. And hat-tip to you for reintroducing the expression "soggy". I still revert back to waterlogged from time to time, but "soggy" is also one of my favorites. Enjoy your card and happy holidays!

Definitely enable XMP when you can, the difference between 3200-3600MHz RAM & 2133MHz is noticeable and can result in upwards of a 10-30% gain in FPS in games that are heavily CPU bound, especially at lower resolutions since that further puts the burden on the CPU.

alandoy Hi there everyone! Long time reader , first time writer, LOL! I've been, like practically everyone here, patiently awaiting my new noob killing machine. For me, it the 3090 FTW Ultra. This card in Europe seems to scarcer than moon rocks. For reals! I've a few points to share...
1. To the people who've gotten off your arse and created/managed/publicized those spreadsheets of the queues, I dip my cap to you my good sirs/madams. It's people like you who make communities what they are, and while I've done zip other than to type this little note, the work that you've done here in this space has done a lot to remove the frustration that many people feel - and that should be recognized. You've essentially reverse engineered the queue and built up some (limited) visibility into what's moving. I'm pretty sure that when EVGA first introduced the queuing system, that this wasn't envisioned. I don't say that as a bad thing, other than it's quiet warming to see what the power of a community can do. 2. Following on from point #1, I'm a little surprised that EVGA hasn't improved the visibility into the queues. It's potentially an avenue to differentiate EVGA above it's competitors. Before people jump down my neck.... yeah I get it. I get it! There's a lot problems with sharing a queue. You potentially tell people how many cards you've shipped where, what's moving/what's not. You give visibility into what your doing "behind the curtain" and there are potential "General data protection" issues of sharing usernames etc. ..... but these are all problems which can be overcome with some creative thinking. I also get that EVGA is a "downstream consumer" of the parts DDR6 memory, GPU chips and is somewhat blown by the prevailing wind. If the DDR6 DIMMS don't appear, EVGA with the best will in the world can't conjure a card out of thin air! EVGA in my opinion is "thee" premier GPU card manufacturer. They can set the bar. Even if it's tool late for the crap show of the 3 series cards, some kind of improved ordering process for the 4 series in 2 years, or whenever they come out, would be welcome. You've 2 years guys! Get rocking! A loyal fan base of well intentioned customers will support and thank you. Maybe twice weekly updates from your distribution network? Better ETA's (yes they can change positve/negative) sent to customers on the queue. I'm just shooting ideas - you can I'm sure think of better ones than I can. 3. A personal question briefly mentioned above, what's the story with 3090 FTW Ultra's in Europe? According to the (EU) spreadsheet, **not one single person** has gotten the mail and ordered a card. Not one!? I'm not exactly bleeding here with a FTW 2080Ti, so while it's been 3 months since I got on the queue...…it'd be nice to know that cards *ARE* shipping and if I wait my time I'll get my slot. I don't mind waiting (well....you know!).....but i don't like the not knowing bit. (see point #2) :-) All the best everyone! We'll get them ..... eventually!
Cheers! Thanks for taking the time to write this and for participating in the thread. I don't have any real visibility into the EU queue situation or why 3090s (or any of the cards there are scarcer than here...I have some rudimentary theories that anybody would have...no great insight). BovineGamer is a participant in this thread and, I believe, has started an EU-specific thread or two. He was (I think still "is") working up a summary of the EU queues based on the reports he is finding...admittedly far fewer than the North American queues have experienced. He might be a good person to PM (unfortunately, you will need 10 forum posts on your record before you can PM him...maybe find a recent thread in which he posted and ask there). I am sorry I don't have better advice or information. Best of luck!
Still here enewt! Fighting to end the stangler days on the EU side. EU queues have not advanced past release day as far as I am aware but managed to pinpoint emails to a date earlier than the ones that appear on the spreadsheet

coldrain85 The 3080/3090 Hybrid lists are populating. I was #62 in the queue for a 3080 FTW when I entered my info and I'm down to #85 now. It looks like there are a lot of pre-9:05 time stamps for that card. Anyone after 9:05 (me) is probably going to be waiting for a while. The 3080 XC time stamps don't begin before 9:08. It looks like EVGA staggered the auto-notify buttons. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zA67nmusHrLyKKDJ3rBDiDmlA15Zrzn6MaACCpobW4E/edit#gid=344832691

All that contract means is the refresh of the 30-series will be Samsung, which means these supply issues will continue.

Good thing I'm leaving for the holidays in a couple days. I'll be away from my computer and won't be thinking about how low my number is for the 3898. When I come home, it ought to be right around the corner :) Cheers

Dabadger84 Just my opinion, paying for overnight right now is tripley not worth it. Regular ground, which is cheaper, will get you your package relatively quickly (in example, I ordered my 3090 FTW3 Hybrid Friday, got it Monday - that was with the cheapest shipping option selected *edit: and no, I don't live in Cali, so that's not why lol*). Secondly, there is zero guarantee it will actually get overnighted, due to delays given the time of year (holidays are always busy & result in delays) and due to COVID. And to that end, you will NOT get a refund, as stated on UPS' website & eVGA states as much on the product pages & during checkout if I'm not mistaken. I would not spend the extra money on shipping, use an Associates Code, get your 5% off, and pocket that 5% + the savings on shipping, and get something else.
Worth it, is measured on an individual basis. What works for someone, might not work for someone else. For example, I'm headed out of town Monday, so it was definitely of extreme importance for me to get my card before I left. I used PayPal, and as a few posted recently I got a message about requiring an adult signature. Funny thing, when the UPS arrived a few minutes ago they didn't ask for a signature. Still, it was way better than risking a non-delivery or package sitting outside for several days. The purchase link/email came Wednesday, so I went with 2-day shipping (thanks again enewt) just to prevent any hiccups that may occur and cause a miss on 3-day, which would have been delivered Monday. I didn't see the need for overnighting it, but that doesn't mean there aren't valid reasons for others to do it.

enewt Thanks for reporting back. I love these stories. Sorry about the fan. You should be able to RMA that if you want. And hat-tip to you for reintroducing the expression "soggy". I still revert back to waterlogged from time to time, but "soggy" is also one of my favorites. Enjoy your card and happy holidays!
Hahah credit goes to Badger I saw him use it a while back and I thought it was absolutely hilarious! Nahhh not gonna RMA it cause I always go with Noctua fans on my rads anyway. Gotta keep that static pressure up! And thank you, happy holidays to you as well sir!

Dabadger84 All that contract means is the refresh of the 30-series will be Samsung, which means these supply issues will continue.
Yep, even if Nvidia can get more supply by tapping Samsung, that kind of deal and retooling would take a long time to get going.

So, for the Hybrid models... if a guy would want to, say, change out the radiator fans for better fans, what would he get? One caveat: I like things as quiet as possible. Also, are they 12cm fans? Kthnx

coldrain85 The 3080/3090 Hybrid lists are populating.
This is going to be a long wait...... 82 and climbing
be happy you're at 82! I was at 137 yesterday and am now at the mid 160's. I'm getting real close to just trying to get an 80 or 90 now (instead of just an 80) whenever any retailer does a drop. But I can't really justify spending that amount of money on 90 when all my pc is for is gaming and the occasional stream watching

Noctua 120s. The noctua A12x25 should work. They are pricey, but work really well and are silent. I have them in my rig, but not the card as I dont have one yet. If I get a hybrid, I will be swapping to those.

I was thinking of using NF-P12 myself to save some dough (~$14 on Amazon rn). They come in gray too which is nice.
