I will be using EK X3M Vardar fans when I do eventually get the 3080 FTW3 Hybrid.  Excellent radiator fans with high static pressure.  I currently have 9 of the X3M Vardars in my rig, 6 of which are on 360 rads.

Can anyone point me to a proper spec sheet that shows the specs for the fans that are included with the 3080 FTW3 Hybrid?

Thanks.  Cheapest on Amazon was like $50 a piece!  I like quality but I hate getting robbed.:(

Ouch!  yeah, that's not a proper price.  Check out Performance PCs price.  They should be $20-25 each.  I paid $65 for 3 of them not long ago..

Fun fact: when I saw my first Noctua fan with the cut outs on the blade I said “Oh, just like owls.”  My wife said “What?” (She teaches physics, chemistry, and anatomy).

So I showed her the cut outs. “Owl wings are similarly shaped. It allows them to be silent as the fly through the air to catch their prey.” I’m sure she googled it to fact check me. :)

Probably no coincidence Noc’s logo is an owl, eh?

Specs as in what info exactly?  They're loud a-f at high speed, move a metric-crapola of air while doing so though... there isn't a whole lot of information on them other than they're 120mm, and the case of the FTW3 Hyrbid models, they have RGB rings with 5v RGB headers.  We don't know CFM, etc at all.

Well I managed to score a 3090 ftw ultra on new egg earlier. My watch is over, as long as it doesn't get cancelled. Was gunning for a 3080, but I've been trying to finish this pc for close to 4 months and it's wearing me out lol. I will remove myself from queue once card is in hand. Thanks everyone for making the time pass waiting for a card.
Here is my queue times that I will be cancelling.

I feel you there. Bumped my watch up to include an XC3 3090 since I cannot find a 3080 anywhere and was willing to pay scalper rates for one (briefly).  Figured if I'm that willing to drop $1500+ on a GPU to finish my build, I'd probably have an easier time finding a 3090.

10 SKUs "launched" on 9/16, three of which have queues that still haven't even reached the 9/17 release date.  EVGA: where are the 3881, 3883, and 3895?

I'm so hesitant to get a new card of any kind to replace my dead 580 because I know good and well the second I do, the moment I run below $550 or so is when I'll get the email for 3751, and not a moment sooner. But at the same time if I don't, I don't think my queue's gonna pop before the holiday break, and I won't have a computer over Christmas! This is a tricky decision.

Does $1030 seem like overkill for a 3080 tuf? I’m in the queue but at 9:13:11 on the ftw3 hybrid. My 1060 just died today.

I removed all of the notifys except for the kingpin.  I am 90% sure I am going to stick with the 3988, but going to wait until Monday to decide for sure.

That card retails for $800, is having the GPU now worth $230 extra?

Actually, the 3080 TUF retails for $700 (or $750 for the OC version), so it's $280 - $330 more.

Personally, I prefer not to encourage scalpers, but given that a lot of scalpers are in the neighborhood of $1200 - $1500, $1030 isn't the worst price I've seen, and if my card died I would certainly be tempted at that price (assuming it was from a reliable seller).

has anybody received a notification for the EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 XC3 GAMING? I'm checking the google docs queue position and nobody has received a single notification. It's the only one that hasn't updated.

Thinking either someone fat fingered their spreadsheet signup.

Queue spreadsheet shows someone who signed up on 10/9 ordered their 3090 FTW3 Ultra.

I signed up on 10/7 and did not receive, nor does the notify check page say that evga sent an email. Either EVGA is skipping entries or we need to roll the spreadsheet back.

Was it at B&H? I did see that they have the 3080 TUF OC listed at $800, which is $50 over suggested retail (and a bit disappointing to see from an authorized retailer).

as Newt explained a few times.. the spreadsheets/docs are unreliable due to the constant tempering by trolls, fake information and general stuff that simply makes the data incorrect.

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2020/12/18 23:27:58 (permalink)
I finally pulled the trigger on purchasing a 3090 XC3 Hybrid from queue. Ideally I would've loved a 3080 (definitely the best bang for the buck), but am fortunate to have enough savings to get a 3090. Hard to justify double the price for only 15-20% increase in FPS returns, but I'm glad to experience one of the finest GPU's out there. Spending $600 more for an upgraded card at retail cost, instead of giving in to what scalpers are selling 3080s for in my area feels like a big win to me. Hopefully, this bad boy will keep a majority of its value over the next few years.

Maybe when my queue slot pops up to get a 3080 I'll downgrade lol.

Thank you EVGA for putting in the extra hours getting these queue's going and fulfilled. Also, thank you @EVGA_JacobF for being the face of EVGA and dealing with the thousands of happy/sad fans. Thank you enewt for keeping on that report update (I used your associate code for my purchase that saved me $81). Lastly, thank you customer support (Rob) for helping me troubleshoot my order. I've been purchasing EVGA since my first desktop build including a smoking 6600 GT graphics card and will continue to do so as long as y'all keep giving excellent customer service/warranties for quality products. Appreciate it.

Evga Jacob the stream was hilarious, from the network issues you guys kept having. To all the guest getting crushed. The "rigged" giveaway when the guy that won had evga in his name, then they ended up giving away a 3070 because of it. And who can forget your hat! lmao. I enjoyed the stream, and damn it was a long one. Must of been exhausted.

And i believe im about 5 hours away from the 3080 ftw3 queue. Cant wait for my time to come. I know it wont be till after the holidays but thats fine. No other choice I guess. Hopefully mon and tues will have good drops. and i will only be 2 to 1 hours away. just knowing im a hour away will make me happy during break. No scalper prices and getting the cards ive been wanting from the start. Que's not perfect but its ok. Goodnight to all!

Part of the reason why the Hybrid queues are moving quickly though is because there are less people in them - worth pointing out.

Hey everyone,

How are some of you able to snag one of these cards off newegg or other places? How do you know when they will pop up?

I can only answer this because I snagged a card today after about a week of trying. Here is how I got the card I wanted. Newegg during the week uploads stock at 7pm central time. They do not do it every day, but, for example, they dropped shipments of 3080's and 6000's every day accept Thursday this week. They announce these drops on twitter. If you wait for the announcement you have no chance. So log in around 6:55, have your card pinned and start f5ing. Use chrome, not mozilla, try to get a combo, not an individual card. Newegg alots a certain amount of cards for combos and they are separate from individual card stock so you have a better chance. I tried all week using Mozilla and going for just a card. Today I did exactly what I laid out and got what I wanted, a 6900xt. I know EVGA doesnt make those, and I would be happy with a 3080 FTW. What I did works for green and red. I feel lucky right now and hope my example helps many others here get whatever card they want. Thanks EVGA for doing what your doing.

In my case it was total utter luck.

Just browsed, refreshed.. available.. bought it instantly as fast I could...
Sold out less than 5 seconds after I bought mine.

Well, it looks like I won the Newegg lottery last night and got a FTW3 Ultra (The card I originally wanted) I'm going to stay in the notify lists here until I have that card in hand, then I'll remove myself from the lists. Good luck all, Hopefully the cards start rolling out quicker for you all.

Newegg puts stock on their website at 5PM PST Monday - Friday. I have been on the site ~5 minutes before each night for the last 3 weeks. I finally got one last night.

Save your address and card information (or paypal or whatever) to your profile ahead of time so checkout is quicker.
