Good luck with the emails today. I'm going to be doing a full fresh windows install today and see if that resolves the occasional brief black screens I've been getting.

Don't forget to use an associate code when purchasing to get 5% off your card - that will cover your shipping and maybe some extended warranty - or just save you some dollars which you can then spend on a few beers to celebrate your nice new 3000 Series GPU! Yay! You can find associate codes in the signature of many forum members.

If you happen to receive your card today, don't forget to register it using someone's rewards/affiliate code, and then upload a copy of your invoice (same page, menu on the left) - using the code won't gain you anything except some warm fuzzies for being nice, but it will give 2 EVGA Bucks to the person whose code you use. Yay! Again, you can find rewards/affiliate codes in the signature of many forum members.

Let's start to roll with yesterdays leftovers and continue with todays mega drop

Yes yes yes yes!!! Assuming this week goes the same as last week, I should get notified for the 3090 FTW3 Ultra either today or tomorrow.

Tuesdays have been typically been the big day, so odds are in your favor.

If I helped you in some way, or you just think I'm awesome.. please use my associate code! It gives you a discount

Sorry if it's been asked before, but what is the current average wait time from the moment you get on the list? I just signed up last night, so I don't imagine it'll be soon, but just to have an idea at least?
08G-P5-3751-KR 11/16/2020 6:31:45 PM PT

There really is not an average wait per say as each queue differs in number of drops, number of cards per drop and cadence of drops.  You just signed up for are 3070.  As you will not from reviewing the summary from last night, the 3070 queues are still in the first minutes of their launch window (see below).  It is highly unlikely with your sign-up time of 11/16 at 6:31 pm that you will see a card from that queue until well into 2021.

After apparently decent drops of 3090, 3080 and 3070 Ultras, and 3080 and 3070 Blacks, here is where Monday’s card onslaught leaves us (Bolded Fonts indicate movement from Friday’s summary):

     Card                                 SKU                      Auto-Notify Date/Time

     Ultra
     3090 FTW3 Ultra               3987                     10/06/2020 10:24:41
     3090 XC3 Ultra                 3975                     10/05/2020 20:07:44
     3080 FTW3 Ultra               3897                     09/17/2020 16:56:00
     3080 XC3 Ultra                 3885                     09/17/2020 07:11:00
     3070 FTW3 Ultra               3767                     10/29/2020 06:00:59
     3070 XC3 Ultra                 3755                     09/29/2020 00:00:00

     Gaming
     3090 FTW3 Gaming          3985                      09/24/2020 12:38:00
     3090 XC3 Gaming            3973                      09/24/2020 00:00:00
     3080 FTW3 Gaming          3895                      09/16/2020 00:00:00
     3080 XC3 Gaming            3883                      09/16/2020 11:01:20
     3070 XC3 Gaming            3753                      09/29/2020 00:00:00

     Black
     3090 XC3 Black                3971                      09/24/2020 00:00:00
     3080 XC3 Black                3881                      09/16/2020 11:52:38
     3070 XC3 Black                3751                      10/29/2020 06:09:27

Given strong movement in many of the queues today, I wouldn’t be surprised if Tuesday morning was a little light, with just a few stragglers from Monday’s drops being the subject of second efforts to find them forever homes (there should be some stragglers, at a minimum, for the 3090 XC3 Ultra, the 3070 FTW3 Ultra and the 3070 Black).

Hopefully Tuesday’s drops will come on strong.  After all…say it with me…”It’s Tuesday..and everybody gets a card on Tuesday!”

@warlock_pie, good luck on your hunt; I would continue to utilize your F5-finger at the retailers of you choice.

when someone gets a minute can they add me to the google doc?
9/18/2020 5:06:13 AM PT

Unfortunately, the spreadsheet is locked down such that we cannot add folks anymore – folks have to do it themselves. If you are so inclined, here is the link to the form to submit your date/time stamps to the spreadsheet:

          https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdZaiFAXqnuhyXfpR7muIyWa9HvQpnhdTWjjGvmObkakpqZnQ/viewform

The form doesn’t always work and recently folks have reported not being able to add themselves. That is why I currently recommend that rather than add yourself to the spreadsheet that already has a good number of data points and is tracking the front of the queue reasonably well, it is far easier to instead refer to the spreadsheet and compare it to your personal auto-notify date/time stamps (viewable here: https://www.evga.com/community/myNotifies.asp) to get a rough estimate of how far away is the front of the line.

Unfortunately, given that your didn't reference for which card model that date/time stamp is for, I am unable to provide you a guestimate of how quickly your name might come up in that queue.  I am sorry I do not have better news.  Good luck on your search for your card.

Unfortunately, I believe EVGA policy is that the Associate’s Code has to be used at the time of purchase in order to get the 5% discount.  I wish you luck, but I am not hopeful that they will make an exception.

One thing you can do, is to click on the banner of an associate (there are several in this thread) and that will create a cookie to that associate's code so when you are in the heat of the moment of receiving your "invite to purchase" email, the code should already be ready to go in the checkout process (but do confirm anyway -- that 5% for GPUs and 10% for cases, PSUs and cooling solutions is really helpful).  Best of luck and please report back whether they make an exception.

Anybody think we might see 3 hours of movement in the '90 Ultra queue today? All my new system needs is that BFGPU goodness.

I think this week has at least an hour of more movement in the 3090 FTW3 Ultra queue, but perhaps not today.  The 3090 XC3 Ultra...same but maybe at least two hours.  There will certainly be a few stragglers for both 3090 Ultras today.  Best of luck!!!

Tentative hopefulness here, but I may have just snagged a 3090 FTW3 Ultra from Walmart at MSRP.  The order appears to have been successfully processed, and supposedly will arrive at my house on Friday.

In the even that this all goes off without a hitch, and I actually get on in hand, I will have a 3080 FTW3 Gaming, non ultra in hand as well

Tracker i'm following posted that, now its up to $2,500.  Lucky if you snagged it!

About to go pick up a 3080 FTW3 from a local shop in a couple hours. Kinda getting cold feet though seeing page after page of cards dying and having issues. Should I just buy while I have the opportunity and let EVGA warranty handle it if need be?

That would be my approach.  Unless you have questions about the AMD offering, I would grab it and go.  Worst case, you are in the RMA world...but that queue should be a lot faster and EVGA's customer service is second to none.

I got my FTW3 yesterday and I am loving it.  I sold my 3080 Strix to a friend.  I am 100% confident in EVGA and their customer service if there does happen to be an issue.

Yeah, what worries me is that many people are having their second replacement - and even third replacement die too. Is it bad luck to the serious extreme or do the cards have some sort of underlying issue that isn't being addressed?

That makes me thing it is something about their system if you get multiple RMAs or what they are trying to do with their cards...

Don posted what I thought was a good process in another thread.  Here it is for your consideration:

My 3090 FTW3 is ordered.. thank you notify queue.  So I was wondering, those of you that received yours:

1.  Is this as easy as say the 2080 or whatever 20 series install was?  Remove old card, put new card and sag helper in.. plug cards in to PSU... power up.. load up in windows default drivers.. update drivers via nvidia program?
2.  Start using computer

Just thought I would ask.  I know I have to have 3 PCI cables and I should have them.. ordered through cable mod full extra long replacements rated for my PSU.

My procedure when installing any new GPU, and is what I did with this 3090 FYW3 Ultra:

Download latest Nvidia drivers to have on hand when needed.
Downloaded latest version of Precision X1 software to have on hand. Even if no plan on using it, you will need in case
there is a firmware update for the GPU.
Download latest version of DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and install.
Open up new GPU box to admire it's beauty. Then proceed:

Disconnect ethernet cable - you do not want to be connected to internet while doing this.
If Precision X is installed, uninstall it choosing to not retain any settings.
Then using DDU uninstall the Nvidia drivers. DDU will prompt you to reboot in Safe Mode to run it.
Definitely do this in safe mode. You will select when running DDU to uninstall and then shut down PC.
Turn off power supply, unplug power cable to power supply. Hold power button in at least 5 seconds to discharge.

Now the fun stuff.
Install new GPU, making sure all power cables properly attached.
Plug power cord back into power supply, switch on, and boot the PC ( still ethernet cable unplugged - important or windows will install default Nvidia drivers)
At desktop, install the latest Nvidia drivers you downloaded earlier. I only install the driver and PhysX myself.
After installation, reboot PC for good measure.

Plug ethernet cable back in.
Install Precision X1, choosing all options ( so you get firmware update if needed).
Launch PX1 and see if prompted for firmway, update that if it does.
Now you can either leave PX1 installed and use it , or not - your choice. I happen to like the program.

Whew, lot of typing there - it is not as complex as it sounds, and trust me when I say there is nothing like a fresh clean install of vid drivers when changing GPU.

Best of luck with your decision!

FYI Unless you power mod the FTW ultra you will be limited to 450 watts. The Strix has no such limitation.
