Tentative hopefulness here, but I may have just snagged a 3090 FTW3 Ultra from Walmart at MSRP. The order appears to have been successfully processed, and supposedly will arrive at my house on Friday.
In the even that this all goes off without a hitch, and I actually get on in hand, I will have a 3080 FTW3 Gaming, non ultra in hand as well
It sounds like you just nabbed your card. Congratulations!!!
Now I wonder if I could find someone who would straight up swap a 3080 FTW3 for a 5950x :D

Looks like the XC3 Ultra is the notification that I'll be getting first, I'm at 9/17 1:21pm PST. Really bummed that I didn't sign up for the FTW3 Ultra at the same time since I'd have it by now lol...but we really had no way of knowing they'd implement the queue system.
Anyway, is there any way to know or see whether EVGA is getting sizeable shipments of the cards in? I feel like I remember seeing someone online talk about checking overseas shipments and seeing that EVGA was getting some. I'm just hoping that production is actually ramping up like they said.

Im very concerned about this. I will have to shunt mod the FTW ultra to get all I can out of it.
1. They released a 500W bios to compete with the Asus strix cards (because they came stock with 500w bios) 2. They designed their board in such a way that the card can't actually consume 500W. It's locked at 450W. I.e. the 500W bios isn't any better than the bios that shipped with the card 3. They're not responding to anyone, ignoring the problem

About to go pick up a 3080 FTW3 from a local shop in a couple hours. Kinda getting cold feet though seeing page after page of cards dying and having issues. Should I just buy while I have the opportunity and let EVGA warranty handle it if need be?
I got my FTW3 yesterday and I am loving it. I sold my 3080 Strix to a friend. I am 100% confident in EVGA and their customer service if there does happen to be an issue.
Their customer service is #1 reason why I prefer to buy direct from EVGA. The longer I wait, the better. Maybe they'll work the bugs out with new batches? I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't nervous about getting a faulty one out of the box. Fingers crossed we all get good cards!

I want to play Cyberpunk 2077 as much as the next guy and gal, but I am not going to bemoan folks who have already secured their cards the opportunity to play a single player experience before me. I can only hope that the card gods smile down and bestow on all of us cards that UPS finds the way to deliver no later than the last night of pre-installation before CP2077 goes live. If I am a few days late...I'll just have to wear noise-cancelling headphones and invent sight-cancelling glasses until my gpu arrives.

Was tired of not being able to game for 6 weeks and waiting and hunting for something can be fun..but there are limits.
