EVGA/Jacob - I just wanted to say I know there has been a lot of complaining lately (I am certainly not exempt from this) and that everyone in the industry has dealt with a lot of backlash. So I just wanted to say I really appreciate this new approach. You guys would have sold out of the cards regardless so I know you guys didn't have to do this - but it is very much appreciated.

Huntercyril That's simple. If 100k people signed for notification, at 1k card per day rate (which for now seems unlikely) that's still 100 days waiting to those on the back since emails are during business hours and are valid for 8 hours.
That's 3 months and 10 days wait. That's... Very unlikely to please everyone. I think this is why we need some numbers because depending on the number of notifications signed up, you might know if it's better to look elsewhere or to wait your turn here.
Thats what I wanted to ask as well, having a guaranteed chance is good and all, but the guarantee is basically useless if you have to wait 3 months for it.

MrFun01 I just got my email guys, it looks like this:
Dear Valued Customer, This email is being sent in response to your request to be notified with availability updates for product 10G-P5-3897-KR and this product was marked as being in stock on 10/6/2020 at 2:11 PM PST. Please use the unique URL to complete your purchase. Due to this being a limited supply product you have 5 hours to complete your purchase from the time of receiving this email, if not complete within 5 hours of receiving this email, the product will become unavailable and you will need to enter the notify queue again. Please Note : You must be logged into the EVGA website and your profile email address MUST match the address that you used to sign up for notify. Direct Product Link: 10G-P5-3897-KR Thank you, EVGA Sales Team Just to answer some of the questions for experienced facts: 1) I renewed my reminder notice at 3:30am EST. So It does NOT reset you. 2) EVGA is badass. 3) Shipping costs are still astronomical. 4) Using Associate Code (VKHJ8KATGBMVC6L), you saved $40.50!
What email address did it come from? I want to set up a filter to make sure it doesn't go into spam.

Agreed. While many of appreciate the gesture, it's ultimately meaningless without some form of metrics. That's why I think if EVGA let us know what date they're up to on which cards, it gives us a better sense. Except, they likely won't do this...

DarkTAO How you treat strangers is a good example of how you treat people in general. Big cringe.
Maybe you let people talk down to you, I don't. I treat my clients/employees with respect and I would never to them to "be patient".

No problem, trying to help others that come along as well. I spent a while earlier today, going through the thread and pasting all the same questions/answers in the first post =]

OK folks, let's get back on topic. BTW... This topic of "Where am I in the queue" comes up with every launch in the Step Up program. Maybe check that out and see how that has been handled over the years, as a possible guide? This is not EVGA's first shot at trying to be as helpful as possible, and still not be able to make everyone happy.

It's not an unreasonable request. There's no need to email customers on a day-by-day basis. Just once a week, - an update to the first post, saying what date you're up to for each card. Would take what? 5 minutes per week? I think EVGA is onto a great thing here, but as it stands it's fairly nebulous

It's understandable that certain info cant be shared, as where you are in queue or how many cards are released and when, as some of that can fluctuate depending on different factors. What I think would be a great help though is an automated email confirming you have signed up to be notified, along with all the information on how the queue process works so the information is upfront and not in a forum some may not check out.

If you see any wording where I am saying it is unreasonable, please let me know. Because I do not believe the request to be unreasonable. However, like any business. A line has to be drawn at some point. And that line can always move from one launch/product to another. As they try and perfect their service to us, the clients. Not to mention the ever changing new wonderful tactics from those who like to circumvent the system.

Thank you EVGA for adopting a FIFO queue policy. I'm a public health professor who uses the Titan/3090 cards for non-profit research (). With my 80+ hour work weeks I have little time for F5 spamming. Your queue policy provides the greatest likelihood working professionals like me can acquire these cards and start using them for public good.

Just let them get on with it. This is triage of a messy situation and I appreciate them doing this at all. They didn't have to. Thank you EVGA! Maybe in a couple of years for the next big launch we can just have fully ID verified pre-paid preorders and fix this more permanently. Only one card of any type, per person, per address, per credit card, per 60 days or until stock normalizes.

This is great news, now if we can just see our place in queue and have an idea of rate of cards (ie how long to wait) it'll be perfect!

I hope we can somehow see the queue and an ETA on receiving a card. Right now it feels like anyone that signed up today is going to be waiting months and will probably go with another brand.

Because there are probably several thousands of people already in the notification system. They all need to be filled first and is dependent upon what kind of stock EVGA will get to fulfill them, so yeah, it could be months, but it is getting into gamer's hands instead of bots.

Because in all likelihood that's true? I mean if there's a wait period of 5 hours before each card moves on to the next person, and there's going to be absolutely THOUSANDS of waitlisted people at this point, anyone who joined today is going to be waiting absolutely literally months anyway.
