Thehalfdemon This about the fact that 3 sku's were up at 6am... People signed up for those 3 skus... then a few mins later they added a 4th sku that is the "launch edition" and are filling those orders first even though the card is the exact same as we signed up for minutes before. They screwed over probably hundreds of people, maybe more by adding a 4th sku with a special price and gift after 6:00 am and then honoring those first.
That's pretty messed up. I would be pissed. Lots of people probably just clicked on the 3 cards that were there and left.
That's exactly what we did. Sign up for EVGA queue immediately and then try our luck at the roulette wheels at Best Buy, Newegg, etc. There was no reason to think there would be another 4th SKU added later on. EVGA didn't announce anything beforehand. Even worse, once the SKU did appear, it was not showing as accepting notifications for many people. I saw no notification option for it at 6:05 when I did double back and check EVGA again to make sure I had signed up for every possible notification. I had "auto notify" bubbles available for the other 3 that I had already signed up for, but the stupid launch edition had no option. Just "unavailable." It's frankly unacceptable for EVGA to be honoring those "launch editions" of the same card ahead of people who signed up earlier, especially since they didn't announce the launch edition in the first place. If people had known to expect it the situation would be different. EVGA really soured in my eyes today. Way to blow it, guys.

waldo3125 Okay, last post from me. I'll try to bring some positivity back... Just cancelled all my EVGA notifications, both 3080 and 3070. Removed Distill from Chrome. The hunt is over. I'm going to keep my 1070 for the foreseeable future. There's nothing wrong it. I can still play most games other than the most demanding at pretty high FPS at 1080p. While my 4K monitor won't be utilized like I wanted, it's fine, won't be any different than how I've been playing games for years now. I'll be purchasing Watch Dogs Legion momentarily. I'm sure I'll still have plenty fun with the game despite not having a new card. And when Cyberpunk comes out, the same will be true. Maybe I'll even get COD too, who knows. Won't be getting Valhalla for a while as I still need to finish Origin and Odyssey, but those are two more I guess I need to catch up on. To everyone still waiting for a card...I really hope you get one as soon as possible. I blame Nvidia for this historically god awful launch, but I do thank EVGA for making the best attempt at getting cards into the hands of as many people as possible. No longer am I frustrated or upset...I'm free. Free to play games. My 1070 will still get the job done just fine, and I guess that's what I should be thankful about. If it ever craps out, well then I'll rejoin the hunt, but no need to toss it aside right now. Time to go...game! Good luck to everyone still waiting!
No more playing "where's Waldo" on the spreadsheet then... :/

The listing for the KL launch SKU was searchable via "all graphics". I found it by just filtering by lowest price and signed up to be notified. 08G-P5-3751-KL 10/29/2020 6:06:17 AM PT

Thehalfdemon Yep, EVGA lost a customer here. The queue system was great but this launch edition sku was a giant slap in the face. I'm 6:00 am for all 3 sku's only to find out they added another sku with a shirt shortly later and honored those first.
Ugh, that is so not cool...

I am trying not to check the spreadsheet every day because it seems my number just keeps going down and the amount of emails going out for purchases being reported on the sheet is barely moving. Still holding out hope and still mashing F5 whenever I have time on all of the normal sites... I can say, the delay in CP 2077, while initially disappointing, is actually giving me hope I will be able to score a card before release.

I'm confused. So how is it that something not showing up on your web browser on your computer in your own environment someone else's fault? I'm seriously trying to understand this line of thinking. Did someone from outside your home hack into your computer to stop an image linked to a api call on a specific website on a specific page from working? Come on guys...this is really stretching a bit all because someone might get a GPU a few days before you?

Seems pretty obvious to me. The reason the queue system was so effective the first time around is because nobody knew. You know who was waiting at 6AM for the pages to go up? Bots and scalpers. Know who was gone by 6:01AM? Bots and scalpers. Know who was browsing the site organically and stumbling upon a launch edition sku nobody knew about? Actual customers. I love it.

Sure but they really don't owe you any information. They surely aren't going to discuss how they push things out to their website nor are they going to discuss any problems they encounter. In reality EVGA doesn't owe anyone anything here unless you have given them money to purchase a product, everything else is simply good will. You can take it or leave it. It really is your choice. I'm looking at it from a company point of view. If people are just upset because someone might get a card a few days before someone else then sorry, but that isn't something to get all bent out of shape over. Its not a kidney.
