Are you really surprised? There's always going to be an upgraded model released.

Not above the 3090, maybe a titan with full chip not a rtx card
This would make the Kingpin 3090 obsolete, there hasn't been two different kingpin cards in a single generation as far as I know

So I registered for 3060 XC Black in May, and the que shows February. I don’t think it has ever moved from February. That tells me that they aren’t even producing that card anymore, and I’m screwed since I’m not registered for anything else and can’t register. Is this pretty much accurate?

There is always a chance.  If you are NA based, you can try Newegg, BB, Walmart, and Microcenter drops.  If EU go through the EVGA EU where to buy online, retail, etc.  I know it will be more expensive.  Also, try checking any small computer shops for availability.

I paid like $1300+an M.2 I already had for my complete 3060ti build, lol. These high end cards are getting out of control, can't even imagine what 40 series is going to look like....$2999 for 4090 FE!

Oof, I know how much things are individually but when you stack it all up like that...
 
Mine is literally just an Xbox clone. H1 case w/ psu/aio ($199), 11400 ($199), 32gb 3600hz on sale ($104), Z590 ITX Gaming Edge Wifi ($169), and a 3060ti via stepup for about ~$550 or so total, add tax and I'm at about ~$1300. Already had a 2tb M2 I paid ~$200 for a while back, and snagged a 2TB Sandisk SSD on BF for $149 so really I'm at about $1600. 
 
Obvioulsy the more $$$ build is going to stay relevant for an extra year or two, and at fully cranked settings whereas I'll be leveraging DLSS/FSR/etc. As fantastic as those builds are, as an insufferable cheapskate I just couldn't do it. Like I COULD do it, but with a toddler and one on the way, I just know I wouldn't be able to make use of it.
 
Hopefully this week see's some decent drops, although the numbers show Nvidia isn't shipping much compared to AMD right now so who knows.

I had a two new AL120s fail on me.  I contacted Lian Li and they asked me for a video showing the issue.  They mailed me two new fans which I got about 2 weeks after.  If you still have the fans in the system, you should contact them if you haven't already.  The process was pretty easy other than trying to change the video format from my Iphone to a MOV format which was more me than Lian Li.

Some here may say I am wasting my money given the closeness to my original 2080Ti and with the new 4000 Series announced... Either way, I am happy I got something new.
