Gamers can get gear if they mine while they sleep.
The ability to mine and earn money is basically having a legal printing press for money.
This has not been true world wide ever it is historical.
My argument is not for mining over gaming it is more or less for blending and including them in a partnership.
Right now Adel great singer does a Los Vegas tour and resellers jack up prices 5x-20x
gpus are jacked up under 3x or maybe 3x
if you game they are entertainment much like watching Adel in Vegas.
But if you buy an overpriced card at Microcenter you can offset the price by mining
If you buy an overpriced Adel ticket oh well
I actually threw in the mining reference just for you. I figured a hat tip and a mining reference...both together would force you to respond.

Pretty slow this week, but cards are going to people who want and need them, It used to be disappointing to see a good drop and see Ebay quantities increase

I wish I would have picked a card that was moving faster at this rate I don't care what 3080 I could get. No way to change what I had selected last year.

You currently cannot remove notifies nor add yourself to any queues. E-mails about the then upcoming change went out in early October 2021 to all users who had 2 or more queue entries. The change took effect on Oct. 11th. Read the post here. There is no info on when the queues will reopen.

I was on the list since 1/21/2021 before I received my notification. As far as I am aware, EVGA is the only manufacturer making an attempt to sell cards directly to users with a waiting list. Selling only on-line most likely would not be a profitable business model for EVGA.

I remember my nephew was telling me about how one of our cousins was making money online. That was the very first time I heard anything of mining's existence. That had to of been late 2014, 2015. He was 12-13 years old at the time. I shrugged it off. Sounded like it was a few dollars a week for stressing the GPU. I never in a million years would have thought that what my kid cousin was doing "Crypto Mining" would become this MASSIVE meme. Craziness. Definitely made me feel like a boomer. Just a "fun" story I never thought I would know.

Are you in queue for 3080 and you received a notification if you want to go to 3080 ti? As they did with those of us who had KR that they had taken us to the KL queue

(When you already have an EVGA 30 series card and want to replace it with more powerful one) I think the different between 3080 and 3080 ti is not worth $550 (price of an high-end CPU), but $510 is the different between EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA and EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 FTW3 ULTRA (€440 in eu.evga.com)

I do not think EVGA wants to get a 3080 card that is now used to give a 3080 ti The email is probably because he is in queue for 3080 and not because he already has it in his hands.
