Does it matter if they test the hardware and they give you 3 year warranty?
Or it maybe scratched or have visible blemish but it does not affect the performance then the product will be ended here (B-stock): evga.com/products/productlist.aspx?type=8

I think the cards that are sent in for Step-Up are reconditioned and kept on hard for future RMA/warranty service. If you get an RMA replacement it is not guaranteed to be brand new.
 
This also helps move cards through the pipeline, as every working condition card newly available for RMA replacement frees up another (previously held-back) brand new card to go to the queue.

Currently the B-stock do not have 20 or 30 series nvidia. Currently the best gpu on the eu site is the 1080 Ti, it is an old series, so 1 year warranty is ok

B-stock gets regular weekly drops of 30 and 20 series cards.
When you purchase new evga gpu you have option to enter step up within set time period(60 or 90 days iirc) to upgrade to higher model
You pay shipping and taxes on new gpu at its msrp
The msrp of original gpu sent in is subtracted from cost of new/upgraded gpu msrp and you pay difference
There is a separate queue for stepup

If you are in Europe the queue is 09/17/2020 with the last drop at 08/24/2020 so close so far away.

I just received a step-up email to move from a 3080 to a 3080 TI.  Anyone think it is worth the extra $550?

If you game at 4K Ultra, then yes.  The Ti is rock solid for 4K where the 3080 is ok.  The extra memory is also nice, but I wish they would have put 16GB on it.


If you don't game at 4K, then probably not.

I am pretty sure B-stock cards are not eligible for the step-up program.
They are a 1 year warranty product not a 3 year.

"You can unlock the Step-Up option for most 3 Year Warranty products as long as it meets the conditions listed below. Once the Step-Up option is unlocked, you will have 90 days from the original purchase date for your product to start the upgrade process through the EVGA website. Yes they have anti-bot measures and it has been updated I believe.  However, with every countermeasure against bots, they come up with new software programs.  So it is a never ending cycle.

Is there any Canadian here or someone who knows how much is the shipping cost + import taxes - fees for a 3080 to Canada?
 

Shipping cost varies real time, from around 26 usd up to 36 usd (2 shipping choices). Dont bother choosing the higher one it wont be quicker and it wont save one of the 2 taxes. Once, UPS messed up (they chose the wrong goods code) and i paid only one tax, but it was luck, other times i paid the 2 taxes. Dont forget to add the paypal fee or your credit card fee (exchange). That said, it was always worth it to buy through evga queue vs buying in canada.

Hate to say it but when they do happen bots tend to grab everything first.

So I registered for 3060 XC Black in May, and the que shows February. I don’t think it has ever moved from February. That tells me that they aren’t even producing that card anymore, and I’m screwed since I’m not registered for anything else and can’t register. Is this pretty much accurate?

There is always a chance.  If you are NA based, you can try Newegg, BB, Walmart, and Microcenter drops.  If EU go through the EVGA EU where to buy online, retail, etc.  I know it will be more expensive.  Also, try checking any small computer shops for availability.

If they release a 3090 ti then ima flip the f*** out
