@toyboarder: They were just upset, frustrated, like all of us sometimes, or having a bad day. Consumers over the last 15-20 years have gotten used to being able to purchase what they want, when they want. Unfortunately the situation changed dramatically, particularly if what you want contains a chip. So, some people come here to vent, complain, argue, whatever. If it helps them in some way, then that's good. If they get ideas, like from your post, of other avenues to try, then that is even better. It will continue until such time that stock meets demand, which will be awhile, and it will be more expensive.

Now, if we could fix the double post issue that pops up every now and then, it would be great.

toyboarder For real, I had never owned an EVGA card before, but because I was spending a....lets call it excessive amount of time hunting cards, I became aware of the release dates. This led me to researching when they were likely to drop day of, adjusting my schedule, and being ready. I've also been there for AMD drops, successfully, and been fighting the scalpers at Best Buy since February. Literally everyone in my family has a GPU now, a few 6700XT's in there but beggars can't be choosers I've also spent literally DAYS worth of hours at it, as well as using vacation here and there. People like this keep popping up, because their GPU died yesterday or they finally have enough money to upgrade, upset because they can't just 'go buy' something at MSRP, welcome to the club dude. Okay now they're actually looking into options, and as you say this is the ONLY manufacture offering a queue. So the only option they see borne of what I can only assume is basement dwelling entitlement is to complain and moan that they can't cut in line ahead of people that have been waiting over a year in some cases? Sorry, not how it works. That's like saying you already have a car, you can't go buy another car until I have one (kinda relevant as there is an ECU shortage as well). Well, my wife needs a car, and my nephew, and my dad. So if I know how to get a car at MSRP I'm going to get one for everyone I know that can't and if you show up 6 months into the shortage because your crap-mobile died, that's not my fault nor do you get preferential treatment. On a related note, LOVING my 3060 ti in my little H1 XBox build. I have all the frames I'll ever need (for at least 3 years). EVGA
Haha, thanks for understanding where I was coming from. The part that bothers me the most about these peolle that dip into the thread to just complain real quick then disappear is how they give everyone else in their situation a bad name. I'm one of those people that only queued for the one card they truly wanted. On top of that I was a little late to the game. I'm now about 4-4 1/2 days away on the kingpin hybrid queue, 7th in line but it hasn't moved since Oct 25th. Thinking I might have to wait for the next sku release. But that doesn't turn me sour towards a system that I filed to take full advantage of...
Thursday morning, ~6:55AM PST, show up on AMD for the AMD que. Not sure what you're running now, but I had a 6800XT in my old build and it was pushing 3090 level Timespy scores (21.3k graphics) and only pulling like 300w. It would DEFINITELY be a good placeholder until your queue pops, and you could sell it for MSRP used and still be viewed as a saint ($649 still I think). Best Buy is a flustercluck, but if you're on something like the Fixitfixitfixit discord and have alerts turned on you can snag something there (just sent a Aorus 3060ti off to an old WoW buddy a few weeks ago from a BB drop). Times are hard, but salty ain't going to get you anything but a sour taste in your mouth. Good luck dude! As someone that is SUPER impatient I understand. I'd be more than willing to impart what I know to help peeps (see above), but they have to be receptive.

I'm just sitting on everything to build an Alder Lake rig except for a gpu...

ketec I wonder if they will be dropping old SKU-s again when the "super" variants come out and you need to rush to add new notifies? I doubt they have the capacity to manufacture both SKU-s at the same time.
Or how are they planning to introduce new ones. They stopped all notifies and you are stuck on 2 oldest ones. Even if they open, you still can't remove the other SKU-s anymore. Make new accounts with new emails?
I imagine a few old skus may be dropped, especially the 3090 as the 3090 Ti is expected to replace it at the same msrp. The 3090 Ti will use Samsungs new 2gb ddr6x module so all 24gb of vram can be put on the gpu side and all make contact with the cooler.
Also heard rumors that the current Ti cards will be dropped and replaced by the Supers with msrp staying the same but performance obviously being slightly worse
Wait, the Ti's will out perform the supers? Or vice versa?

The general consensus is that Normal < Super < Ti, given past Nvidia's behaviors, but it's really everyone's guess how the new GPUs will perform.

That is interesting. 20 series only the 2080 had a ti, and a super right?

The 3090 FTW on the OC switch will be pretty much the same as the rumored Ti. The new memory will be slightly faster but unlikely to make much difference in real world performance. staypuft Way to get us back on track, nomoss

it's completely random...but...Asetek makes the hybrid coolers for the 3080/ti and 3090 pcbs...they make a much larger amount of these coolers than evga can produce for the hydro copper series...this is because the hydro copper blocks have to be cnc'd....it's not an easy/quick process for hc blocks...but asetek does deliver hybrid coolers pretty often. Soo there won't be as big of a gap between hybrid releases and hydro copper releases

I think I will go ahead and purchase the 3090. So naturally, I would expect the largest shipment of 3080's to ever happen in the next few days. I'm talking the queue will move months.
