I am seriously considering taking my kpe hc apart to look at the board and see if anything looks off, cause I still have issues with random crashes and it's not psu or mobo or memory. In fact it resembles the shutdowns from new world on specific affected cards.... of which have less then stellar power delivery(aka vrm). Thing is the Kingpin has massive overkill vrm when used on ambient cooling, on normal 520w bios. I don't really want to take apart a 2400 dollar card and spend the money on replacement thermal pads 😒 🙄 Forgot to mention that the crash would consist of all video output going dark/black and only a hard reset either automatically after a minute or manually if it doesn't restart itself will restore functionality. No way of hearing fans spool up to 100%(another symptom of new world trying to kill gpu), since the HC has no fans by nature 😆 🤣, as a result I can't be sure if the gpu is shutting itself off at the hardware level from some kind of current spike or not

The other thing you notice the next morning as you single finger type out an intro...how this injury would be so much worse if I had a gpu that could handle BF2042 as my standard WASD approach currently limits me to WAS. If you've purchased BF 2042, I hope you are having a blast. I hope folks are still playing it when my KPE HC invite eventually makes it to my inbox.Â

Before I did something that drastic I'd try putting an FPS limit in the Nvidia Control Panel .... If you have a 144hz monitor then I'd put that as the limit, if it's less than I go with something like 120 FPS ..... When you go to a menu or sometimes even a fast travel point or other scene transition the FPS spikes which causes a current spike and Nvidia's VRM control is pretty slow so you can get some instability

just RMA it man...there are all kinds of one-off problems with cards like this that are over-engineered. There is a lot more soldering and parts that could have poor connection to PCB

It didn't have an issue till a couple months ago and the crash is random as hell
As far as fps and v sync lock, I have a vg259qm that is rated for 280 hz and I run it at the non OC'ed 240 hz, in COD I get about 250 to 300 fps which is perfect for the monitor, crashes happen in the middle of matches not during menus, power draw never even touches 400w either. I had hwinfo data logging for one crash and the power never hit 400 before logging stopped

Nice to see the queues moving again at a relatively decent snails pace. It's getting closer to up my paranoia level by constantly checking my email and especially the spam folder.
