I held out this time last year to get a 30 series card, hovered on all the sites on the release days for everything 3080 - 3060ti. Still in the queue waiting.
I can't believe how many are for sale on ebay, people hoping to make a quick couple of hundred quid.
How are they getting them, when so many gamers are still queuing and spending days circling through e-tailers?

Scalpers have a lot of ways to get them. They use bots to get them online, they go to any physical locations and they even register businesses to buy them by the pallet, before they even have a chance to get to retailers.

I would think at least 5am Although I am showing up at 7am The 3060ti version and the 3070 version are decent cards. Not sure about the 3080 and the 3090 as I think they over heat.

Hi guys, I am 11 minutes away from 3080 TI XC3 gaming and have a coupon valid until Sept 10th.
Do you guys think I will have a chance to actually use this coupon based on your experience with queue movement?
Who knows. This card is having issues right now. Hopefully EVGA has stopped shipment of them until they find out the issue.
That's a shame because that's they one I'm closest to (~7:31am I believe, so less than 4 min out). Was thinking of selling or doing step up from my 3070ti FTW3, but not really worth the extra $400 if you aren't even assured to run the standard power limit bump. Hopefully this gets figured out before I get my email.

And the closest one is over 2 hours away, back to the queue I go... Also, do they really refer to their employees as blue shirts? Nothing quite says you're disposable like referring to your employees as shirts lol.

If you search the Best Buy Reddit there's a Line Tracker for tomorrow's event that lets you know how many people are already in line and how many cards are available (if known). You may already be too late, maybe not, but that may at least help people make a decision on whether they want to brave the elements overnight.
