I guess EVGA has officially decided to join Asus and others in the scalping business. I don't even want this thing, but I'm trying to help out a family member who doesn't have a card at all. I wonder if it was as troublesome for others. I tried pretty much every error the (EU) site had to offer, the first hour everything was completely shut down. After that, the windows would open with a 5 minute wait each, but errors would show "Error: This EVGA webstore page must be open on only one browser or tab at the time you request to enter the notification queue". Well, there were just none open. Then I tried other browsers, Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, until at some point one happened to open the notification form. The submit button then twice opened an error window "Oops.... too many 1's and 0's", then all over again. In the end, I was allowed to join the queue 1.5 hours late.

Looks like it was better today than the 3080ti release, but that's not saying much. Good luck to you 3070ti shoppers today, don't get so excited you forget to apply an associate's code, Enewt is trying to buy an EVGA convertible.
Seemed so for me.. I mean there were still issues of course, but this time around I got in at 6:07. With the 3080 ti I wasn't until 8:28.

Tech Review Jesus wasn't kidding when he said " That's the only value to the 3070 Ti...buying it with the intent to resell...otherwise the other cards just offer a lot more...the 3080 and the 3070 included." If we have to RMA it, do we need to go through the eBay returns process...? (I kid, I kid...)

I have a 3060ti and a 3070 on auto notify from the 25th February
and managed to get in on the queue for a 3070ti albeit about 6.50am today
which would come first ?
I dunno ?
any advice would be appreciated on what to do
I just need a new card

Supply shortages (not just GPU's), silicon demand, logistics issues/costs, the current market, inflation and tariffs all play a role. As bad as most people think it is... it's actually worse, and it's not getting better. The economy is head in a bad direction fast. So even if supply increases, there are several other issues affecting the price of new GPU's.

What time did the notifies for the 3080 "Tie" cards go out on launch day? I'm trying to remember because I want to figure out when I should expect a notify email if my time comes today. I know that for normal weekdays it tends to be from around 9:30 AM PST to around 12 PM at the latest typically but I remember it being later on the 3080 "Tie" launch day.

I would say that NVidia, EVGA and other board partners have realized that there is a lot of money to be made here and that they get little profit from the lower list prices compared to the 20 series. I strongly assume that every link in the chain (chip manufacturer, assembler, board partner, shipper, wholesaler, retailer...) makes a whopping 100 USD profit per board until an RTX3080 around 2000 EUR finally reaches the end customer. A real gold rush. Only logical that the actual producers want to have more of the cake and concede less to the scalpers. But the calculation doesn't add up, the scalpers won't reduce their margins and the prices will go up even more. And we fools even pay for it voluntarily ... No, really. This IS Sparta...

Yeah the 70 Ti FTW (and 80 Ti FTW) is really just half-scalped direct from EVGA. The MSRP/XC3 price is actually kind of acceptable now and might actually offer better value than a tarrif-increased price 3070 as they are the same list price from EVGA now. EVGA 3070 XC3 - now 599 on web saw a MicroCenter listing today for 639 in store. EVGA 3070 Ti XC3 - 599 The problem in either case is the 3070 in almost all forms basically doesn't exist for sale at retail anymore and the 3070 Ti XC3 will also vanish into the aether after this morning. That said paying what amounts to like $150 of markup direct from EVGA for the 70 Ti FTW3 sure beats the additional $500+ you'd give to a random dude on eBay. And TBH EVGA pricing still seems to be demolishing what the other board partners are throwing out there with like the $400 markup right out of the gate.
