This queue system is stupid. Took over an hour for the site to work and still no notify for the $599 version. Why don't they just do open sign-ups for a week and then randomly draw names from that. It would alleviate these issues.
NewEgg is doing a lottery. You can sign up there about every day for some card or another. I don't think that a lottery is the way to go. The way to go is to have a website that doesn't 404 for an hour when you do a product launch so that people can sign up, then have a way to get enough cards to supply that list. Both of those are problems, right now.
And while I am at it... remove the Notify buttons when the waiting list gets longer than the expected supply. They did this for one of the 3070 Ti models, but they need to do this across their whole store.
Been signing up for the shuffle forever with mine and my wifes account. Haven't won anything yet. screw a lottery.

Missed out on the cheaper one. No thanks to buying a 3070 for $800 when a pretty much 3090 (3080 Ti) has an MSRP of 1200. So many cards have better value at $800. Hopefully the Newegg queue comes through, but I'm not holding my breath!
$800 just seems like a bad price, but today's market makes it reasonable if you're desperate and can actually buy one. Any card is better than no card, just disappointed that the 3070 Ti isn't a little better. It's not bad if you can get one for $600!
The only reason to buy this at $800 is to step up to something with better value. lol
In a normal market sure. In this market it's about $500 cheaper than any other available normal 3070 you can find
In this market as well. You can buy this, use it until your 3080 step up fills in 1 year, and pay only only a few hundred more. There is 0 reason to hold this card and not step up for the price.

I'm not an expert at using the discount, I tried when I bought the Hybrid kit for my 3090 and it said that was not an eligible product. I doubt you can use the discount on an actual card. Good luck.

In September, you likely won't miss the extra $150 you spent back three months ago but you also won't still be fighting for a GPU like many others will probably be. Of course, that depends a lot on person to person and everyone has their limits. I wouldn't pay eBay rates for a 1070Ti because that's just too much but I could see swallowing the too-high MSRP to have a very capable 1440p video card in hand.

Sometimes it takes extra tries to get associate codes to work it seems. Think I had 2 or 3 tries then it worked, fairly sure I have heard others have the same issue. Also EVGA may have changed something the 3060 was a few months back. Good Luck.

They do stack. Sometimes the Associate Codes have to be entered a few times before the system accepts them (so keep trying). Also, a reminder, if you are an Associate yourself, you cannot use an Associate’s Code. ajrober22

You seem to have missed the point. There is no reason to buy this and not step up to a 3080. If you are going to sink 800 into a card, you might as well fork out another 100-200 to get a 3080 in a year while using the 70 ti.

The Expanse is absolutely incredible. Must watch in my book.
The Expanse novels were brilliant, detected a lot of influence by Iain Banks classic Culture series, but an amazing series nonetheless. And I'm surprised that the series has turned out as well as it did. Shohreh Aghdashloo, who plays Chrisjen Avasarala, is also the voice of one of the character in a game I play occasionally - Destiny 2. They film a lot of The Expanse in Toronto at one of the soundstages.
