I am seeing rumors that the contemplated 20GB 3080 and the 16GB 3070 have been cancelled by NVIDIA. I don't think I am supposed to link to third party sites, so I will hold off on a link to the article.  But if that is, in fact, the case, I fear that the 10GB 3080 scarcity will continue unabated for some time yet.

As an aside, the same article covering the rumors says that the 3060 Ti is still on target for the end of 2020.

maybe being pushed by team red?     What is interesting is that Lisa Su and Mr. Spiffy Leather Jacket are related.  That could make some interesting Thanksgiving dinner conversations...

....Now come on cards, bring one to daddy!

I actually think that it benefits AMD for folks to think that the 20gb and 16gb cards are coming...it would cause some of us to hold off on buying 3080s and 3070s now.  I think this is a move by NVIDIA to keep us focused on the cards "available" now.  I don't see an upside to AMD leaking such a rumor at this point...maybe if it was leaked on the 10/27....

I can't imagine it would be a good look for NVIDIA to release new SKUs when people are pissed they can't get current SKUs.

I just got home and tried to enter the information into the chart via the editable tab with no luck..

If someone wants to put my info in it is:

Newskool1
 XC3 3080 Ultra
Notified 9/16/20 @ 11:38:08 AM
Email sent @ 12:15 AM EST 10/21/20
Order placed @ 12:17 AM EST 10/21/20

Thanks again, Lads.

So it seems they been dropping about 10 card for XC3 Ultras per last two days... I'm hoping the trend continues at least and move what 50 cards per week? hoping they can move least 100 cards per week at minimum.

Agreed.  It also further complicates and already unreasonable situation.  Supply chain issues, support issues...wrong cards at the wrong time.

At this point, it seems obvious Nvidia doesn't care about how they look. Because the only word that comes to mind for most people after this launch is: Incompetent.

I think it is considerably more than 10 cards.  The spreadsheet does not = true "auto-notify" sign-ups.  And, as we work through the queue, the spreadsheet should become a greater and greater percentage of total sign-ups (prior to 10/5 when the announcement was made).

I bet that sheet doesn't even make up 25% of the people who did the auto notify.

The spreadsheet is user reported and entered so if you haven't already added yourself in, then you won't appear in it.  That is ok.  It is just an informal tool for this community to evaluate approximately where we are in the queue.  EVGA does NOT use the spreadsheet for any reason.  Full stop.

But you can look at the spreadsheet, and compare where the confirmed emails are on the list (date and time) in comparison to your sign-up (date and time) for the applicable card(s) in which you are interested.

I hope that helps.

EDIT: It looks like you are about 5th on the 3090 XC3 Ultra list.

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2020/10/21 12:16:20 (permalink)
I've got a question regarding the notification queue system.

I set up notifications for the 3080 XC3 BLACK (both the backplated one, and the one w/o a backplate) on 9/16/2020. From what I've heard from others around the internet they set up notifications early on 9/17 and they seem to be getting the email regarding purchasing their 3080s. Were my notifications setup too early to be entered into the queue, or is there some other criteria involved? My next closest notification would be on the 9/18 for the FTW3 Ultra, and obviously its going to take awhile to get through all those 9/17 notifications.

I was able to get an email for PSU cables when those came back in stock using the system, so it seems to be working for me.

Appreciate any light being shed on this, and apologies if this question's already been covered. Thanks!

They have only been sending notifications for the ultra models so far, but once they get to the black (whenever that is) you should be pretty early.

What time on 9/16 for the XC3 Black 3080?  The queue for that particular card has not really moved yet.  Because you signed up on 9/16, you are likely to be really early in line.  The folks that have been getting notifications have been on other cards.  Each card's queue is separate.  I hope that helps.

It is going to be a race between the XC3 Gaming 3080 and the FTW3 Ultra 3080 as to which queue results in the earlier email.  Best of luck!

I've tried to edit the spreadsheet over a few days, but never could get it to work.

I would really appreciate it if one of you smarter people could add me to the spreadsheet.

So your 2x 9/16 dates are not Ultras (3883/3881).  I think about 99% of the cards in the queue so far have been Ultras.  Your friend likely received an Ultra if it was the XC3, but even those have been very limited.
