Agree with enewt 100% the fact that EVGA sends cards to LTT when there are queue spots from release day not filled is tone deaf. It is not technically wrong but it is a slap in the face to those long-time queue waiters.

Nope. I've been in the queue since October 7th for a 3897, still haven't been notified.

RasTeX
SirKronan
RasTeX Does anyone have production numbers for rtx 3000 series? Are they significantly larger than previous 2000 or roughly the same? My short investigation was not very succsessfull...
Yes, but Nvidia (as always) does not release any exact numbers, and none of their AIBs are allowed to either. They have publicly claimed that production is at least 20% greater than that of the 2000 series, and that the production is not lacking. The demand is simply much greater than anticipated. The capacity and demand on current fabs does support Nvidia's claim. GPUs are shipping in high numbers to retailers, but they simply can't catch up to this unprecedented demand. There is no one "demon" to blame for this disaster, but all factors have combined to make the situation what it is: scalping, mining, covid related delays, and covid putting people at home in front of computers for work and play in RECORD NUMBERS. It doesn't help that AMD has not really wanted to compete. Their manufacturing has been entirely focused on quick and easy profits of gigantic numbers of console sales and kicking Intel's butt at CPU sales. Retailers are finally starting to see significant numbers of 6000 series Radeons show up, but up until recently the launch was very nearly entirely paper. The side effect of AMD not caring about GPUs is that Nvidia is free to delay any new GPU product launches, such as "Ti" models.
Right. I would not be surprised to see GPU mining farms next to GPU factories. Regardless of perfect storm for AMD and NVIDIA, seems to me that they didn't react in a way that suits them and is good for customers. I guess that chip production is negotiated quite ahead, but I fail to see why is it so hard to push the numbers up. This situation really shows how we need one or two major players in GPU arena. My hopes are that INTEL will finally wake up an kick this duopole out of their sleep.
You realize they can’t magically up their production at a whims notice. You whiners need to understand that the manufacturing capability is currently maxed out. There aren’t enough fab allocation to produce more chips. Why are automaker halting n closing plants temporarily? Cuz they got no chips to make cars with. Stop whining about sitting on a queue for months. There are people still waiting from day 1 -week 1 of launch n they’re not complaining. There are hundreds of thousands of people ahead of you In The queue

I apologize for the off topic post, but someone a few pages back mentioned the NU Audio Pro for a super cheap price. I looked at their link here: https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=712-P1-AN10-KR It's confusing as heck, because it says "EVGA NU Audio Pro Surround Card" and in the item description it also says "Requires NU Audio Pro". Why the fetch does the NU Audio Pro require a NU Audio Pro? What the heck am I missing here? If this is a dedicated soundcard that normally costs $120 that they have on sale for $25, that's a solid deal for Elite members. But if it's a $25 that requires another multi-hundred dollar product in order to work, that sounds pretty absurd to me, and would make it a non-deal. That aside, good wishes for the queue today! Not expecting much on a Monday though.

Can it do 5.1 output as a standalone, or do you really have to buy an additional soundcard to make it work? That's the part I'm confused on. (Thank you for your responses, btw)

My interpretation of that is that there's a 7.1 Surround version (~$300?) that includes the "surround card" you referenced. You used to be able to buy just the "audio pro" card, which is not 7.1 surround without the "surround card". I think their idea there was you could buy the base card for the quality, then add surround later if you decided you needed that. However, the Audio Pro card (not surround combo version) isn't currently listed on their site, while the surround card still is...which is a bit...odd, unless they're just leaving that up for people who already bought the non-surround version of the Audio Pro. I don't know exactly, as they all seem way too expensive for my interest. Also, you can't hook up a 7.1 headset to them, so it seems it's only for actual surround speaker systems. Even the gaming card only has 5.1 with virtual surround, but you only get 5.1 if you use the S/PDIF output. Maybe I just haven't gone full "audiophile" for games, but I don't really get how you use these or who they are actually targeted for.

(Thank you for your responses, btw) With 712-P1-AN10-KR you can't have any sounds at all. If you asking about " NU Audio Pro", I don't think it can do 5.1 sound without expansion card: May be it can do it via SPDIF OUT, but it does not make any sense to buy an dedicated audio card to send digital sound. I don't think why EVGA sells 712-P1-AN10-KR at all because there no standalone " NU Audio Pro", only bundle with two cards: https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=712-P1-AN21-KR

It wouldn't surprise me. In my home province there's a mining farm (HUT8) with a dedicated gas turbine power plant - it's power never touches the grid. This farm uses more power than the nearby city.

That is why they sold expansion card recently for just $20. I think it is good for DIY. Solid state capacitors by Nichicon, three OP275 OP-AMPS by ADI and three AK4493 audio A/D converters by AKM not a bad choice.

That is really helpful! I am getting into more music recording these days, and I have a pretty nice MOTU for recording and instrument input. I wonder how much of an improvement I'd hear over the built in motherboard sound. Tom's Hardware review on it said that it does improve upon the Realtek found in their tested Gigabyte motherboard, but it only makes sense in a really high end build. I think these thousand dollar GPUs we're all queued up for might qualify a build as "high end"... Obviously Tom's said that for gamers and most regular users the built in motherboard sound has improved enough over the years that upgrading audio beyond that is typically not necessary. I wonder if it would be a noticeable improvement on my 5.1 Logitech speakers, or if I hook up my Shure A50s to it with a wire as opposed to bluetooth. I won't use their bluetooth mode when recording/mixing audio. The A50s allow a wired connection, and that's where I would want to see the benefit. Combine Nvidia's AI noise reduction on the mic end plus a high grade DAC like the NU Audio Pro, and I can see it being an amazing setup for audio production. My MOTU 4/4 is a freaking amazing little piece of kit for the $$. I was dead set on a 3080, but I'm also queued up for 3090s here, and now I'm leaning more towards that for the workstation and production advantages. If I can get a 3090, I likely won't even bother queuing for a 3080ti when they launch.

As nick_shl referenced, they have some really high quality components on these and they do look like well made parts. I think if you're into production quality audio and/or using your PC to run music to a really high-end nice sound system, you'd notice the difference and it would be great. I would agree with the Tom's review note though, which was the point I was making in the end-part of my last message, that for average folks, especially those with cheaper headsets and speakers, I see no appeal of this. Here comes an "old-guy" statement...Back in the day, I had a Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer sound card that I thought had excellent quality compared to the motherboard's on-board audio. The software worked great (until I had to go to the next Windows version) and I thought it was worth it. I think the audio on my X58 motherboard was just as good and I stopped using the card. That was also the last motherboard I had that had a PCI slot (not PCI-e), so it went the way of the dinosaurs. I haven't found the need to seek out an audio card since those days.

Fingers crossed for everyone today/this week. I don't want to be a downer or anything but I just got back from a sudden trip to California to visit my dad in the hospital after he had a major heart attack. I'm pretty beat up over the whole thing but crossing my fingers that some good luck will come my way soon and maybe he will live through this. Maybe i'll also be blessed with an email to purchase a card soon. Who knows. I would really appreciate any positive thoughts (or prayers if you're religious) that you guys can send my dad and i this week. I am hopeful in all accounts. Let's see some strong movement this week(:

I feel for you. I have experienced this with my dad and mom. The medical community has made great strides in responding and treating heart problems. Good luck to you and your dad. As for the the invites today...I'm withholding comment for a bit. No sense in setting my expectation too high. However, as enewt mentioned, it might get a little wet today.

Newegg shuffle full of bundles today... with motherboards and monitors But do not have hope to get any, I saw some complains on one Russian forum that shuffle turns bad recently and before it that guy was able to get one card each time with just 3 accounts, now he can get card every other time with 15 accounts. So, for honest people with one account there is no chance.

Yeah quite funny bundles too. $700 for a 1080 monitor(I know it is 360 Hz, but still)! Whisky Tango Foxtrot.
