A bit sad that the window doesnt fill the entire side anymore though but so far the only bad thing about the changes in my opinion.

But maybe more comes up when they go preview it at pax... really excited for this case ^^

i agree about the front air issue (in or out) hate me but i think a down the middle a LARGE -stamped out-   E V G A   with removable filter behind it would look nice and serve the airflow purpose (not to mention leds on fans showing threw the logo) and make the interior evga logo smaller and maybe just on the bottom left/right corner

Desperately hoping for release info coming out of PAX. I've got all the gear for my new rig, it just needs a home. I did like the full side window better than the cutout on the white version posted yesterday but I'm still looking forward to more info on this case.

After looking further at it I'm kinda worried about the front intake...

While it looks good, it might not be very good for airflow due to air only being able to enter the case from the right side of the case, so front fans will starve on the left side - same issue as some other cases suffer from like the NZXT H440.

Also I really really think that it was a bad choice to not have a full window anymore. It still looks good but it also looks more old school when theres window... but not full window.

I havent been able to see the case on the top yet but hopefully not much has changed there.

+1 for the cable routing similar to the one in the NZXT S340 btw

Excited to see a proper preview of the case very soon

Having no full TG side panel looks does not look as good IMO!!!

I hope n pray to the PC godz that this is a lower end option an the black, full tempered glass side panel still exists.

I left a stack of components sitting unopened all summer as evga delayed and delayed again this case and to me that panel really makes a huge difference in yhe overall feel of the case.

Please please please make some PAX announcements about the full DG-7 series and when we can pre order.

To bad nobody makes a really nice looking 5 1/4' enclosure for a Blu-ray/DVD drive. Just a simple enclosure matching the look of the case with like two bays on it as an option and the whole debate would die I feel. I personally would buy an external drive then any of the enclosures I have seen.

Gotta wait for a new update on the DG7 page with the full specs and better photos of it.
But this looks like my next Case for future build.

HERE WE GO BOIS!!!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YcWWXcH5pY

brb watching the video

Edit:

Alright so this looks very nice but as stated earlier and as steve points out too, the temps might be worrisome with the limited front intake (only right side) but we'll have to see about that.
Other than that looks great but would still love to get the full side window back :)

ALSO NOVEMBER IS THE TARGETED RELEASE DATE CONFIRMED (Black Friday month)

I was gonna buy all my hardware on black friday regardless, so it's pretty good timing for me. But then again it's a targeted release date so it might get postponed in which case (lul) i'd have to reconsider my case choice depending on the delay length.

Ah, cool. Like I said, hopefully it's worth it. I've been sitting on most of my components through the last month or so and just got my GPU. Was planning to hold out for this or the Lian Li alphas, but with there being no new info on the alphas in a while and the DG-7x now looking at November, I'm probably heading back to the drawing board.

Since I'm in no rush, waiting is fine for me.
I will be acquiring CPU/MOBO/ and everything else first.
Case will be the last thing for my build.

So dissapointed in these design changes from the Computex version!

The side panel just looks amatuerish compared to what it was. Airflow should be an issue.

Who at EVGA decided that the previous design was bad and this was good?!?!

Plus after stringing us along all summer the case won't launch till November!!!

Total fail imo. WILL NOT BE WAITING OR BUYING. I feel burned by evga and let down i bought the g3, clc, 1080 ti and was thrilled for the dg-7.

I wish there was a prototype of the old version i could buy from evga. Sad day for me...

Hysterics aside, I think it's the same case, man. The side panel is just more evident because it's not tinted dark, but the photo in the YouTube video shows a white one with tinted dark glass, implying that tinted glass will be an option. It has a white frame around the edge, but that's probably because it's a two-tone white/black case. If the white frame around the edges was black on a black case, it'd look like the one we've seen numerous times.

Just pulling this guesswork out of my rear, but I'd imagine:
73: Partial Window
75: Full glass panel, transparent
76: Full glass panel, transparent, PCI riser
77: Full glass panel, tinted, PCI riser (Computex edition, basically)

For what Steve said in the video, only the 77 will come with the PCI riser.
73 will have partial window and acrylic, not tempered glass.
75 and 76 I think will have minor changes, with minus fans pre installed in the momento of the selling.
77 should be the full features case, with all possible acessories to acquire.

Also, they made the changes based on most of the feedback on this forum as far as I know.
It will not please all users unfortunatly.

I do not believe any case or component will ever please 100% of the consumer base however the mere fact EVGA directly listens to the consumer in some regard is pretty cool.

You're right i am possibly over reacting a bit and there are bigger things in life to be bummed about than changes to a pc case but i still don't see the same appeal in this version compared to previous. Hopefully some out there will enjoy the design.

Will it have an LCD screen there? :o Man I really hope that will be able to show tempatures of GPU/CPU etc.. I always wanted something like that mounted to my PSU shroud :o

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, its not a LCD screen. It will be a RGB EVGA logo. although that is would be cool to have.

Alright that was what i initially thought as well, which also looks really good.

However the PSU shroud mountable temperature/stats display would probably not be a bad idea as a new product for you guys haha
