Fitment issues aside, given both are now in stock and approximately same price, which would you go for? I could care less about RGB lighting. I'm leaning towards EK given their only focus is on water cooling.

All my blocks are EK at this time ... they have served me well Performance wise I do not have any empirical data to say one is better than the other Sometimes people choose a block just based on the look, Moving 2 ---> Overclocking, Cooling and Benchmarking Home » All Forums » [Computer Hardware/Software] » Overclocking, Cooling and Benchmarking

I'm wondering what the logic of the different price points are - EVGA is $199 and the EKWB is $164. Can I use the stock back plate of my FTW3 hybrid with either or only the EVGA hydro copper? That could offset the $40 difference between the two. Any one know?

I have heard that the EVGA RTX 2000 series waterblocks don't perform very well. From what I have heard, the EK ones perform better.

Anyone have further info on this? I was thinking my GPU temps should be lower but seeing low 50's like 50-53C under extended stress testing (CPU and GPU together OCCT + Heaven) usually mid-upper 40's in games on my FTW3 2080 Super with the hydro copper block. Not sure if I should just pull it off and swap the TIM or something. It was the factory Hydro Copper SKU so the block was preinstalled on my card not added later by me. I don't think it's a loop issue, the temps drop pretty quick as soon as the load is turned off. edit: Ambient room temp 22-23C

Although i do like the hydro copper blocks whenever possible i would go with an EK block, i have always had better luck with them as far as cooling and flow.

My 2080 Ti FTW3 11G-P4-2487-KR on the EVGA Hydro Copper runs an 8c delta vs coolant max for any d5 pump speed in my loop >2,500rpm. I used Kyronaut instead of my old standby of MX-4 for TIM fwiw. It started off life @ 11c and has crept its way down over the past 10 months or so. I am not sure by how much, if any, that could be improved upon. I am a newb with the ways of the open loop but my expectation was ~12c after reading up on things.
