They should be reported to Ebay execs as fraudsters, scalpers, etc. & banned for life out of Ebay. Go to their main page in the first link that Steve posted & click on the 'visit store' link. Nothing except those 2 PSUs listed. Now search for stuff & nothing comes up. Now when you go to the other 2 links Steve listed, they are there & list the same company as in the first link. Something nasty going on & no reason for it unless they are trying to hide something.

You do realize that eBay is literally meant to sell items at whatever cost people want, right? eBay won’t ban users for selling items at any price. eBay barely even does anything when sellers sell the wrong item. Just don’t buy from them. Ever. eBay doesn’t care about your opinion.

First off thanks to Steve for pointing out the obvious. I agree with others postings, especially the bolded parts. . It's a sad situation, that will continue. Some people are foolish enough [or rich enough] to buy them. If there is a market for this abuse, it will continue until there isn't demand.

They are probably making deals with a distributor. EVGA is aware of these EBAY and EVGA can’t do anything about people selling the product they have on hand. EVGA isn’t selling to these people, so someone would have to track who the distributor was, but that would be very hard to do.

Not sure that business is the same as that ebay store, photo they use is entirely different. But if they have a physical B&M store then that makes it easy for them to place a pallet order with a distributor. Irony is I don't think the local PC store chain has seen an EVGA shipment in two months now, and they don't carry other brands.

I was going to say, maybe its another group using some random name but nope, shipping details have the same location. I wonder if they literally drove around to every store possible and picked them up like others did for toilet paper, hand sanitizers, etc.

Crap like this is why I never would buy from Ebay. Hell about 2 months ago I went to a local computer store and they wanted almost $1300 for an EVGA 3070. I just walked out and will never go back.

Seeing the same thing here.. You can walk in and buy an EVGA 3060 xc black today for 700 bucks pre-tax at the local computer store. They don't do phone or online ordering, so I think they just love being able to say they have 30 series in stock..

I have seen pictures of the scalpers and their mass boxes of EVGA cards in their living rooms overflowing into their kitchens in small apartments. Each one has had a grand total of 50-100k in EVGA cards that's if you bought at MSRP, now times that by 300% or so. A delivery guy does not make that kind of money, the fact the boxes are in plain shipping bulk boxes meant for retail/etail or even system builders that CAN bulk order from EVGA where as a consumer cannot. Says something is up.

I agree with you Steve 100 percent. I think for awhile people on ebay would sell a picture (JPEG) of an RTX with a warning in the description this listing was for bots to buy. I wonder if any bots went crazy bidding and what would happen when the transaction finally took place... Scalpers sometimes have large groups or networks from what I have heard. I even searched for some software that will auto buy what ever you want online (out of curiosity no intention of using!), unfortunately I think many of them use these bots. I would rather do it the old F5 refresh fashion way... or just wait in the notification que.

You are right, of course. I should have used more precise language. Not a fraud, but a drastic mark up. I'm not opposed to market mechanisms, in fact I am pro-market forces in most scenarios. I am no economist and can't speak to the finer details of market fluctuation based on supply and demand. However, in this particular case (GPUs) are over 200% markup. eBay has them closer to 300%. There are people or businesses who will pay this price if they see a positive cost/benefit to them. In a perfect scenario, producers would raise their price to reflect the scarcity of the product. Here, we have middlemen increasing the price to reflect the scarcity. As you point out, some retailers are increasing prices to reflect this reality. I also see manufacturers increasing prices as well. Any increase in cost weens out purchasers at particular price points. Most rational purchasers will not pay 200-300% increases on an already costly product. nVidia seem to think the cost of the product they are manufacturing is lower than the price being charged. Yet, they are unable to produce the product in enough quantities to satisfy demand and other parties are filling the market price gap by increasing price. Others, (read EVGA, BB, and Amazon) are charging at a rate that reflects nVidia's outlook. TL:DR: It is a Sh*tshow and until supply increases or demand decreases and a fool and his money are soon parted

Soon enough new games will devolve back to flash based games due to lack of proper GPU in people's PC to feed those AAA titles. Not that I fully know how a chip making operates, but somehow I kinda wish NVIDIA just stop putting out new variants and just focus on what already released to increase supply, especially in this time of lack of fab slot and/or silicons. That should make it easier for the AIBs as well, at least in terms of not having to test and build something new that will cease to exist within 5 minutes after release. It is hard to get super excited over something that you can't get, especially if it happens multiple times in a row, no matter how awesome the thing is. Even now whenever I see a new video on youtube saying about new variant leak or whatever, my mind immediately reply with "Great, more nonexistent thing"

Yeah I'd like to see that as well. I highly doubt someone living in a small apartment has $100K worth of GPUs unless he just A. Robbed a bank or B. Had lots of bitcoin mined and used that as currency to those websites with bots that possibly purchase from different places to the highest bidder? idk....
