Just started getting a "CPU or DIMM have been changed" error on booting with my Z97 Classified. I have made no changes, and the system has been running rock solid for years. I do not overclock.

Any suggestions for troubleshooting? I suspect replacing the CMOS battery and reseating my DIMM sticks is probably a good idea, but I wonder if something else is going on. Suggestions welcome.

I'm running an i7-4790K and two G.Skill TridentX 16GB DDR3 SDRAM sticks.

Back in business. Installed the new battery, reseated the DIMMs, loaded defaults, and got five clean boots in a row from cold iron without a hitch.

Gotta love it when the issues are easy to resolve...

Thanks for the help!
