EVGA Z87 Stinger integrated graphics not working

So I've had a brand new Z87 Stinger motherboard for a while now and just got around to building a new machine with it. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit, performed all Windows updates and updated the BIOS from the EVGA website. After I install the Intel HD 4600 drivers and reboot, I see the Windows splash screen and then my monitor goes black and into power save mode. The monitor is plugged into the integrated HDMI port. The only way to get it back is to go into safe mode and uninstall the driver. Right now I can only run it with a standard VGA driver.
 
Any help would be appreciated.

    Can you try a different type of video port on the motherboard? Does it have a Display Port output that your monitor will support too? I can't remember where but I did see where someone else had onboard graphics issues using the HDMI port on the motherboard.

    I solved this, I installed the Intel HD 4600 driver which caused the monitor to go into power save mode on reboot. Then I unplugged the HDMI cable from the PC and plugged it back in and the monitor came on. Almost like the PC now knows it's there. I haven't had any problems since.

    I'm glad to hear that you found a solution while at the same time I am equally surprised that nobody replied to your request for assistance. I follow a lot of posts with a variety of issues for no other reason than to learn and be able to help others by passing my knowlege on to others. I know I had seen others with the exact same problem but didn't see your post until this morning.
