Hi at all,

I bought the EVGA Z77 Stinger and I built it into the bitfenix prodigy chassis.
My Problem is, that i don't know where the hd-audio connector on the motherboard is. Because I want to connect the 9 pin hd-audio cable for headphone jack and microphone jack of the chassis with the Mainboard hd-sound connector.
In the manual of these Motherboard is written:
  • Onboard Audio; Realtek High-Definition Audio; Supports 8-channel Audio; Supports Jack-Sensing function
  • Internal Headers: Audio Header
The only free header I found is a 3 pin header next to the cpu-power connector and next to the fan-headers. But this is not nearly the realtek audio chip and the manual does not mention the connectior.
If this 3 pin connector the hd-audio output is, is now the question how i connect the 9 pin hd-audio cable for headphone jack and microphone jack with these 3 pin connector.

PS. Sorry for my bad english.

For what is the 3pin connector left of the cpu-power connector and between these two fanheaders? The visual guide does not describe it.

Sorry that is a misprint, the board does not have an onboard Audio header due to layout constraints.

Yep, no internal audio header on the board.  Which is funny because I spent about 5 minutes looking for one, only to relize that their wasn't one.  For me, that was no huge loss as I didn't require audio for what I had planned.

As for the mysteries 3-pin header, I've been wonder about that too.  Maybe its a jumper for something.

No one knows what that extra 3 pin connector is for.

No one knows what that extra 3 pin connector is for.

The bottom-left one is considered primary as far as I know, and is placed there for cable management ease. I think any 'additional' ones are just other options in the event that they're required.

I have the same problem. I use the EVGA Z77 Stinger and bitfenix prodigy chassis. What use the audio jacks on the chassis? Exist any USB 2.0 adaptor? Sorri my bad English too.
