Can anybody link me to the best BIOS for the EVGA x58 SLi3 / LE ? I think I tried Bios 83 but had issues so I had to go back to 81.

Also somebody mentioned a moded BIOS? what does that feature and if you could link me to it?

Some guys were discussing the new OROM in another thread and I was bored so I did these quickly for all boards, based on official BIOS 83 modded with the latest RAID OROM 11.5.0.1111.

Download the whole package here - http://www.mediafire.com/?n547f9762dyjot9

The BIOS provided have not been tested as I no longer have an EVGA X58 board. No errors occurred while creating them so they should all work. Before flashing please make sure that you know how to recover from a bad flash. Please use these at your own risk. Using modded BIOS will most likely void your warranty if you need to send the board in for an RMA with the modded BIOS still flashed to the board.

just installed this modded BIOS v83 out of curiousity. thanks for the mod, dejanh!! But now my windows is looking for the new RAID controller drivers. I have installed the latest raid drivers found in the intel's website, i.e., 10.8.0.1003, which don't seem to working for the new OROM. is there any other newer versions of this driver that I need to install. if that's the case could anyone point me to the link.

I'm just curious is anyone able to tell me how to integrate the latest Intel orom 11.0.0.1339 into the latest bios? This is the one that is supposed to be used with the 11.0.0.1032 WHQL drivers. Seems like it fixes a lot of issues, including SSD's.

That OROM is older than the 11.5.0.1111 already included in my mod.  It is just the "officially released" option ROM.

I have installed these BIOs and I am very happy.

I have my i7 920 overlclocked to 4.3515ghz which is 25x206 which ends up showing as 25x205.5 in E-LEET TUNE. And I'm running at 4.3125. This is a very early i7 920 and I'm pretty happy with the overclock.

This bios, when I set TRL to 2, TWL to 1, and then MCH Strap to DRAM ratio and other setting to 3g, I now get 12gb of RAM for my PC, no hardware reserved. Haven't had this ever when heavily overclocked.

Ratz! I was just about to update the bios on my FTW3 when I read the entire thread. I decided to just go with 82 instead. USB Flash method went without a hitch. Everything running as it should. Updated the Audio drivers from Realtek's site. No problems to report

That French site only has the Raid Manager.
Where do we get the new SSD Toolbox to enable RAID TRIM?
Toolbox v3.0.2 still says unsupported :(

I'm really needing this!  SSD RAID has degraded quite a bit.

EDIT:  Aw it looks like no go on TRIM for the 1111 release :(

Anyone try Dejhan's Modified 83 Bios on a 759 and see any improvements in performance or added benefit? Any issues to be aware of?

Note: I'm on Evga's original bios 82. No problems except raid 5 is kind of slow..  Not on 83 as I posted before was a mistake. On bios 82.

Thanks

OK, What I found in my BIOS is this string of numbers - 10/25/2010-132-GT-E768-8A79TEVFC-00 this was at the bottom of the screen, towards the top I saw Release number 1X586877 But the choices for BIOS updates show nothing for E68 or E76 starting string of numbers.

By the way go Marines! I used to live in Cherry Point (twice) when I was a kid, I was born in Camp Pendleton.

Thanks for trying to help me, rltchess

Probably never. Because of this kind of "support" and a few other bad experiences with EVGA, I have decided not to use EVGA motherboards anymore.

Currently I am still using EVGA af my favourite videocard brand, but due to recent experiences I am seriously reconsidering this as well...

As mentioned about a year ago, EVGA's support is going downhill. It all started with the Intel ROM updates. At first they said it wasn't possible, then our friend dejanh proved them otherwise. It still took EVGA several weeks before anything got updated. Not to mention they STILL haven't fix the USB-problems with the X58-series.

As you might understand I am very pissed and disappointed with EVGA and how they treat their customers. For example, just right now I am still waiting for a planned UPS pickup for my old videocards. I have mentioned several times, that I preferred that this would happen before (or the latest on) Wednesday, because of my 3-week vacation.

And guess what...? No response whatsoever. I am getting the impression they want to keep my money, because of the EAR replacement. Because, when I get back from vacation, the time to return the defective videocards will be over and I will not get refunded.

It really pisses me of that EVGA treats customers like crap nowadays. This wasn't always the case. Compare EVGA from the past year with EVGA two or maybe three years ago. Big, big difference. I can only see EVGA is going down the same way as DFI and Abit.

Sorry about this threadhijack, but I had to rant. Not that anyone cares, let alone EVGA.

Sorry your having issues, I seem to be seeing the opposite however, Not only have my RMA's been faster than in the past, but I haven't been hit by the signature required at delivery thing, and there seems to be more communications, via automatic E-Mails. I've been well pleased with the New EVGA warranty, Best of Luck;

Updated: sorry just noticed your location, so I deleted EVGA CST support #.

Also note: The Intel ROM updates, you reference EVGA was able to add a  ROM updates But it was not Intel's Believe it was AMD's, and they will have to do it again if we are ever to get the Trim feature for Raid, Still not sure if that is going to be passable, Unfortunately this board does NOT have the UEFI BIOS, These latest issues have been work around, Like an after thought trying to get New features added to an old board, features that were not foreseen at design. I still however prefer the Old boards with their mature issues over the New Boards, with their growing pains, and BIOS refinements. There is a Inherent pitfall with Bleeding edge, Early adopters become Genie Pigs, and a problem with EOL technology, Late adopters see obsolescence.

Here are the links to all EVGA X58 motherboard BIOSes modded by me with the latest available Intel Option ROM 11.5.0.1347. Mod tool used is CBROM v.198. The only BIOS I have actually tested is the E75783.bin file, which is for the X58 LE board. All BIOSes should work just fine with this new RAID ROM, but just like Dejanh, I take absolutely no responsibility for any damage this may cause to your motherboard. Enjoy!
