EVGA_JacobF Well if you guys remember with VT, in BIOS 49 we removed the shutdown when VT was enabled behavior. This did work for some, however, we found that in some cases VT does not work properly so we reverted to the shutdown with VT. Perhaps in the future we can have two versions, VT shutdown and non VT shutdown.
Thanks for replying Jacob. I would happy to try a version of the next BIOS with VT fixed. If I happen to be one of those for whom it works well, I'll be a happy customer. And if not, at least I know EVGA tried and that means something to me and coming back in future. I'm still not clear why only EVGA's boards appear to have this problem when others don't, especially as the boards between vendors are more alike than different with the X58 chipset, but again I'll be happy to try a possible fix than no fix at all. Thanks again for listening. Mart

Yes, we are getting some real fixes and updated ROMS! Hello 2011!
Finally there is actually some " intelligent innovation" and let's be honest; " compromise is for losers".
EVGA used to be a great company (I've been a customer since early 2005). But after 2017 it went completely downhill. EVGA doesn't treat customers as customers, but as complete idiots! I used to own over 30 EVGA products (videocards, motherboards, PSU's and so on). Not anymore. #evga #pathetic

If you can't fix it entirely, then such fix will be at least something.

I'd be ok with two separate versions of the BIOS. Although it will probably be a pain to maintain two separate branches. Nevertheless, Jacob do you know what circumstances caused VT not to work in BIOS 49?

Why not add an option under Enable VT that asks, something in the likes of "double pump enabled" or "double pump disabled" Either way having one or two versions of the bios doesn't bother me as long as I can have it enabled withought double pumping, I'm just hoping i'm one of the cases where it works

Alucard666 It'd be an absolute nightmare..... lets stick to one Bios XD Well, lets not. You may not need VT fixed, but your needs shouldn't outweigh anyone else's. And I imagine what's required is just shifting a few bits. We're not talking a re-write here. That said: Zalbard Make it one BIOS with fixed VT double pump, then. I think a toggle should be implemented...or an outright fix. I think two BIOS's per release would be a PITA. The problem is, if your VT doesn't work with the double pump off, you're going to be SOL. You gotta wonder why other vendors don't seem to have this issue.
