I got a problem with the last few bios update, including this one.
Sometime, no matter what CPU voltage I choose in bios, after get into Windows, open CPU-Z, my voltage auto bumped up to 1.564V. Don't know if it is problem on my board or bios.

Any comment? Suggestion?

i7 920 on EVGA X58 Micro ATX.

Went to update last night and it did not take and now I have to RMA the motherboard. :( at least EVGA has the best warranty in the biz and advanced RMA.

UPDATE I just want to say that it was not the MB it was the powersupply that failed at that moment. So I had to RMA the powersupply to Thermaltake. I am glad they have a 3 year warranty. :)

My System:
ASUS Sabertooth Z77
i7 3770K @4.2
CORSAIR H100 (CWCH100) Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
RAM G.SKILL Sniper series 16 GB 2 4x2 at 1866
EVGA GTX 680 SC
Thermaltake toughpower 1200 watt

Exactly what settings were set? Fill out a template.
What cooling are you using?

Was Vdroop enabled/disabled?

This happend to me also but with 2 E758's, 2 different bios, 2 different revisions.
In my case it was a certian voltage range 1.23125v~1.23750 set in bios=1.51~1.66v respectivly in windows

Tried a lot of voltage setting, couldn't get it stable even with excessive voltage than it needs when I used the cpu on another board. I want to RMA the board because i never have it run stable on this board; however, I can't point out where it has problem. =/ The same setting sometimes passes IBT,sometime not......Not a memory issue for use as I tried to run below the spec.

Hello Comrades,

next week i´ll get my hands on a xeon w3680 processor.
will there be any problems with my 760 mobo? bios version = No.51

there are rumors at www, that only desktop version i7 980 is supported (at the moment).
if so, is there any beta bios released yet?

thanks in advance & sorry for my broken english ;)

Re:EVGA X58 Motherboards - BIOS 51 Released 2010/04/16 06:49:06 (permalink)
I need some help with a couple of quick questions.  I'm new to BIOS flashing.  I just bought a new E758 board from TD and their web page listed a recommended BIOS update for memory.  I looked at the list on EVGA for the BIOS update and was astounded at the amount of updates.  Does the latest update contain all of the previous ones or does each one only address the issues it fixes?  If the latter is the case, which update(s) should I use?  I plan to do some OC'ing in the future.  I have the following components.

EVGA E758-TR board
1 x EVGA 275 GTX
6 GB Corsair XMS3 1333
i7 920 (version unknown)
Danger Den CPU Water Block
Innovatek Dual 120mm Liquid Cooling System
2 x WD 320 in RAID 0
Kingwin Mach 1 Modular 1000w PS

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks
P.S. Which is the best way to flash, USB stick or CD?

Hello,

have a X58 SLI LE (757) Mainboard. Have with the Bios version 51 the problem which the PC boots up after a cold start twice. The setting VT is disabled. Is this normal?
Otherwise the PC runs, actually, without problems with 4.2 Ghz. Or does it lie in wrong Bios settings?

Greetings

Me and my friend(4-way and 3-way) are experiencing a problem, something when you start the PC the raid show some of ours RAID ARRAY FAILED, then we need to shutdown on the PSU and restart again to work again.
I think is a BIOS problem, so please take a look.

I have a question for EVGA when are they planing on making a bios ONLY for QUAD core cpu as all the bios after S61J do not work correctly with my setup and I know I am not the only one ? I know that six cores are  new and all but don't forget about all your QUAD core users plz
