After watching those videos, this kit F4-3200C14Q-32GTZR seems to be a good contender overall. But it has the stupid rgb lights :(
That is great kit. You can turn the lights off and the bars will be an opaque white.

oh and can you make em solid white ? like no dimming, blinking or rain effect just plain white ?

Okay watched the video. Gskills app seems "alright". I wonder, if i use a static color, do i have to keep the app running all the time ? Corsair's app (keyboard and AIO) allow you to close it if you use static colors which i find useful. I hate background running apps :(.

I just ordered F4-3733C17Q-32GTZKK from newegg. $375 shipped after tax. Kind of pricey but I would hate to drop all of this $ everywhere else and then kneecap myself to save a hundred bucks on the RAM.

Just checked your pcpartpcker link, your kid is going to have one hell of a good machine!!
He is going to ride that 1080ti until the next 7nm GPUs are out. Other than that, yep, completely spoiled. I need to outline my daughters machine as well. I took her to PC Mecca (Microcenter) on her 14th birthday and she went with a full AMD build. It was the first non EVGA motherboard/GPU I have bought since the old ABIT days.
