Does any one has issue with the CPU running @4100mhz all the time, since I build my setup it been running @ 4100mhz, never comes down to intel spec 3.5mhz. I am running EVGA X299 MB with Intel 9900X, Win 10 V. 1903. I add it a pic of CPU-Z for spec reference. I check with CPU usage nothing shows running more then 7% all the time. Also have the bios running on auto setting. Any advice on this issue would be appreciate. thanks.

And in the Windows Control Panel -> Power Options make sure the Power Plan is not set to High performance which will run the CPU at full speed all the time.

And I hope you didn't buy that processor recently.

Thanks a million was the power performance set on, drop it to balance and problem solve, and no I did bought it a year ago, I may be buying the new 10090XE same price I pay for this one. Is the marketing. Thanks again guys.

Glad to help..I keep mine on Power saver, otherwise the CPU speed jumps all over the place all the time.. Power saver keeps it fairly constant at 800MHz at idle.

Glad the issue is resolved. I like to run my cpu at max speed all the time, so I don't have to worry about them not performing correctly later. Never had any issues for years now.

The reason I use the Power saving plan is to keep processor frequency, Vcore and consequently core temps at a minimum when idle/not needed..The frequency bangs up instantaneously to maximum at just about every little thing that goes on.
The only time I ever switch to the High performance plan is when benchmarking and stability testing.
