Hi all,

I'm looking all over the internet for some more EVGA 850G PCI-E 6+2+6+2 cables. Everything I find says compatible with G2 onward. Is it even possible to buy cables for my PSU anymore?

Thanks,
Jamie

If you need original cables then my advice to you is to contact EVGA Technical support.

I have done this. Just need to wait for a reply. Just wondered if the community could help. Thanks for the suggestion though. :)

No. I purchased the PSU and a graphics card together off Facebook. I wanted to run SLI in my PC but it has one black 6+2+6+2 cable and two weird red 6+2+6 cables. Neither red cable works on my second card so I have a graphics card going to waste. The person I got it must have lost the cables and replaced them with some he assumed worked.

The  two weird red 6+2+6 cables are can be used for your Graphics Cards.
    I also have cables that have 1 6-Pin and 1 6+2 Pin.
A Single PCIe 6+2 Pin is standard for the Most part, If your GPU is 8-Pin then you put the 6+2 Pins together to create an 8-Pin

What Model are your Graphics Cards.

I tried them. If I plug them in then my other card stops being recognised as it's connected to the same PSU. I've tried the black cable in both and both cards work on their own, but one black cable and one red doesn't work. Both red cables don't work. I have 2 Asus RoG Strix 1080's

    https://www.asus.com/us/Graphics-Cards/ROG-STRIX-GTX1080-O8G-GAMING/specifications/
So you need 1 x 6-pin & 1 x 8-pin for each GPU and Both Must Be Plugged In to work
This Cable would work (1 6-Pin and 1 6+2 Pin.) (two weird red 6+2+6 cables) cable that is.

What is the Full Model of this EVGA 850 Watt Power Supply?

The box says EVGA Supernova 850G. That's it. I'm assuming the red cables that should work are probably capable of working on a G2 or G3 model.

I do not see or find a EVGA 850G Power Supply anywhere.

Re: EVGA Supernova 850G - I want to buy more cables 2018/02/17 13:18:46 (permalink)
The suffix of the part number just indicates the warranty length.

A 220-GS-0850-V3 is the same unit as a 220-GS-0850-V1 for which cable sets are available from EVGA, as well as individual cables..Scroll down to the Compatibility tab on the GS 850 product page and you'll see that GS/PS (850/1050/1000) units take the same cable sets.

You can get just the individual cables you want from EVGA.

You can also get custom cable sets or individual cables in various colors and lengths for an EVGA GS 850W unit from CableMod..Use their CableMod Configurator for an EVGA SuperNOVA GS 850..They have the dual 6+2 PCIe cables you want for your unit for 14.90 USD plus shipping..They have other cables for your unit too.

You need to use the correct modular cables that are matched to the PSU because even though some modular cables from another PSU may fit, the pinout might not be the same and can cause catastrophic things to happen in a worst case scenario.

You can check the pinout voltage and re-arrange the terminals yourself as needed and you have a voltmeter and are into it..This can be discussed later if you want.

Thank you guys. I'm still really struggling to just find one cable. I don't really want to buy a full set. I've messaged EVGA. Hopefully they can help me out.
