For anyone with this new version of Precision set to start when Windows starts and wondering how to keep 5 instances of the Server from showing up in your task bar when you start up your computer do this:
1. Right-click on Computer in your start menu and click Manage.
2. Open Task Scheduler and click on Task Scheduler Library.
3. Right-click on EVGAPrecisionX and click Properties.
4. Click on the Triggers tab and then click Edit.
5. Under Advanced Settings at the bottom select Delay Task For: and enter 1 minute.
6. Done. Now Precision will start one minute after boot up and won't show up 5 times in your task bar.
So now back to my earlier questions. How do I change the colors of the text on the system tray for items I have placed there like GPU Usage and GPU Temp so that I can tell them apart? And also how do I stop the PrecisionX 16 Server from starting at all and showing up in my system tray? I need it about as much as a shark needs doorknobs. Thanks!
Thank you for that. I was having 2 to 3 icons in the system tray show up.
No problem. I had the same problem with RealTemp and its system tray stuff and solved it the same way. I am starting to suspect it is a bug in Windows 7 since I've seen it so much on so many different machines when it comes to stuff in the system tray.

Thanks tyger. Sadly, the app also makes every game crash on alt-tabbing so I'll try some other software.

Has anyone suddenly had font issues?
All of sudden fonts in Chrome are screwed up.
No issues in IE; just Chrome--Facebook, Forum, etc. Everything is blocky bold.
It didn't occur until I installed X16.

Now I'm seeing font problems in various programs as well. Man I'm very glad I was already planning to reformat my hard drive this weekend. This seals the deal. Now I just need to find the old version of Precision I was using before this mess.

So, I guess I'll list my issues in case someone from EVGA looks in here. Some of these are repeating in one of the posts listed above.
1. Screenshot button doesn't work
2. No OSD customization (RTSS with Precision X before allowed various levels of hooking applications as well as other options like supporting custom files, like if you're injecting smaa, as well as just basic color and location options)
3. No screenshot customization (you can choose png or jpeg but for jpeg there's no quality slider like what was in Precision X before)
4. That font issue should be fixed. It didn't even occur to me that this program could have caused the weird font things I was experiencing. It's not that big a deal for me but it's annoying nonetheless.

Another thing I've noticed today is that ever since I installed this 5.2.0 version my Windows Live Mail client crashes every 45 minutes or so.

Anyone else having the issue of EVGA precision x 16 v5.2.0 text showing up on there league of legends launcher and other games? EDIT it is even in game at the top left corner. Fix this. I might just go back to 15 since it did not have this issue.

Yes. Many others have the same sort of issue. It seems that EVGA has decided to create a list of programs to NOT show the OSD in (a blacklist) instead of creating a list of programs TO show the OSD in (a whitelist). It seems to me, that in the next version, EVGA should use a whitelist instead of a blacklist since a whitelist would be much shorter and more concise. Do you understand what I mean? EVGA has chosen to create an (obviously) incomplete list of programs which DON'T work properly with the OSD. The ones they left off the list are causing some people problems. Instead, EVGA should create a much shorter list of programs which have been tested and DO work with the OSD and not show the OSD in any program EXCEPT for if they are on the whitelist. As it is now, EVGA has the burden of trying to test compatibility of every prorgram in the universe (a very difficult task) and block OSD functionality in those programs which don't work properly.

I go back to 4.2.1, because i have the option of select the monitoring icon colors, and dont have a lot of bugs!!
I just wait that EVGA resolve this problems, because really sucks the last version!

Yep. Bold fonts in Chrome are changed.. It's annoying.. They're fine in IE.. Haven't checked FireFox.. {{EDIT: Just tried FireFox. The fonts are fine.}} This is most noticeable in the titles of YouTube videos.. It's like they're set to match the fonts here at evga.com. I sense a conflict between Chrome and some new Web fonts that Precision installs. I've also noticed that it doesn't save any settings (startup with Windows, disable the "EVGA Precision" header on OSD). The OSD is kinda.. wonky.. sometimes it shows up, sometimes it doesn't.. Sometimes you can't disable it..

I've noticed a huge latency issue when I press F5 if I'm running PX16 while playing Rift. It is one of my hotkeys in the game, and I haven't noticed any issues elsewhere. I'd consider just changing out my keybinds, but that will be a huge pain. When I turn off PX16 it doesn't happen.

I just upgraded to an EVGA GTX 970 SC ACX card and downloaded Precision 16. Unfortunately, I noticed issues with it when I started playing Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls. The cursor would disappear as soon as I start playing, and then when I exit the game the screen is all black and the only way I can get any sort of response out of my computer is by CTRL-ALT-DEL. I decided to uninstall this latest version and rollback to Precision 15. Everything is working fine now.... So I am guessing there might be a bug here or maybe something I am doing wrong. Just curious if anyone else experienced any similar issues.

This latest version is a mess... Totally unusable. I only updated to it because it kept asking me to do so. It also started messing up my entire computer, somehow. Earlier PrecissionX worked perfectly. Now i have to uninstall this thing entirely and use Afterburner instead, at least it works and now it even shows cpu info too. This new evga precission messed up my internet explorer fonts, so i uninstalled it. But the fonts are still messed up. God damn how do i fix it??? Caused so much problems and now i have to spend loads of time trying to fix it... Cmon...

First off: Thanks for this new completely overhauled version of Precision X. Unfortunately the OSD does not work for me and I had to re-install the fonts (some words in Google Chrome showed up bold). Thanks for any input on how I can use the OSD in Battlefield 4 X86.

Yeah, the OSD doesn't work for me in any game I play. It pops up for a split second then disappears. Kinda sucks, to be honest.

My cards will not down clock while idle after upgrading to 16. They just run at max. Reverted back to 4.2.1 and it down clocks properly.

SO. Your ****ty program claims the keybinds to CTRL+1-0. This robbed me of 2 hours of time when my keybinds in WoW weren't working. Rebinding the keys does not work. Shoddy work EVGA. This is the very first time I've posted or even thought anything negative about you guys. Honestly who cares if a new card is launching and you need a new version. Test your **** before you push it out. I REPEAT-THIS PROGRAM WILL PREVENT ANY CTRL+1-0 KEYBIND FROM BEING BOUND OR EVEN EXECUTING. GET ON THE STICK EVGA!!!

I have issues with Precision X16 and movies. Whenever I try to watch a movie (or any clip really, with VLC or Win Mediaplayer), after a while the video stops updating. I can still hear the sound but no moving pictures. This can happen 2 minutes into the clip but especially if I use some other program at the same time. Doesn't matter what program, as long as the movie player is out of 'focus' = isn't the main, highlighted window on my desktop. Shutting down EVGA precX16 fixes the issue.
