Is there any way to limit fps on a per game/.exe basis as in RTSS? If not I can't use this.

That feature is critical in order to lower heat/noise/power consumption and make framerate more consistent on some games.

Aeonpr1me
OSD is buggy (just like Precision15) it crashes Jriver.
Can't disable the OSD (Only show/hide)

Back to Start.

Same here. OSD doesn't show up in some game like batman arkham origin and city in 4k resolution, work only in 2560x1440p. Create a blank screen in AVP.

Sorry but I'm not liking it. I find the interface less intuitive or friendly than the first versions, it seems to show and detect different clock values compared to the real ones I have when you want to overclock, it has only one skin selectable, the tooltips close too soon and I still haven't understood if it gives the possibility to clock the shader! (It shows me busted values!(?))
You should add a better integration with the NVIDIA 9000M series!

There is framerate target in precision or vsync which can be selected per game / per exe in your nvidia control panel.

as far as I found there is one in the settings under frame rate target  I haven't tried it as such but it looks straight forward to use

Mobile cards are not supported.

Oh no, why!!!

1) EVGA doesn't make mobile cards
2) Mobile cards are highly proprietary.

Desktop cards are easy to support because EVGA makes them and competitor's desktop cards are very similar and usually are essentially identical.  Mobile cards are highly proprietary.  Mobile cards use various different open or closed standards as far as how they connect to the laptop's motherboard and also can use various open or closed standards in regards to fan control.

EVGA Precision AND MSI Afterburner have NEVER supported mobile cards.  Some functions of the programs may or may not work with mobile cards; but the programs themselves were never designed to be used with a mobile card.

Nah, I don't really think so! I still have some old version that supports very well my graphic card. I overclock my current gpu with them! In one of these versions is also mentioned the support to the GeForce 9 series (working well also for the mobile)! They simply forgot about them! Probably, also the normal 9 series doesn't work with this new version.
See this for example!

Reading comprehension:  "Works" and "supported" are two different things.

I will quote a line from ReadMe.pdf included with the version of Precision in your "example" above.
ReadMe.pdf
Integrated and mobile graphics cards are not officially supported

No version of Precision or Afterburner has ever supported any mobile card.  Read the documentation which comes with your version of Precision which "works" (/Doc/ReadMe.pdf subscript 1).  It clearly says in the documentation that mobile cards are not supported.  For instance, notice that the fan speed is grayed out in your screenshot. ;)

Yeah, I know, indeed I was verifying what the old version reported about the 9 series and then I corrected my previous post. I know very well that the fan speed isn't supported but as I said I think that also the desktop 9 series isn't supported with this new version, otherwise my mobile card would have been supported too. :)
For example I don't see an easy and correct way to overclock the shader like in the old versions. :P

By what line of thinking do you determine that a desktop series would determine whether your mobile card would be supported? Your mobile card would not be supported and never has been supported. Once again, I think you are mixing up the words "works" and "supported". If your mobile card ever worked with Precision, it is simply by dumb luck. Whether it should continue to work with newer versions of Precision is determined by the word "supported" which is no. Whether it might continue to work with newer versions of Precision falls back on dumb luck.

You might be right when you insist on the difference between support and work but I used "support" with different shades of meaning in this case and this may have contributed to the confusion.
But I don't agree when you say it's simply because of a "dumb luck" because my gpu is similar to a certain desktop 9 series gpu and descends from the same core. Probably it's because of this why it works. I'm always fine with the Precision versions that support 9 series and probably it'll continue to work for the versions that will support this series and I would be happy if they do.

For your happiness
I know very well that the fan speed didn't work but as I said I think that also the desktop 9 series isn't supported with this new version, otherwise my mobile card would have worked too.

I'm not a fan of the hardware monitor showing all GPUs in the same graph.  Can they be split out, and if not, could EVGA please add that?  Maybe they don't need to all display at the same time, but if you click the GPU at the top of the monitor, it switches the graph display to that GPU.  I'd also like to be able to arrange the order, as in the previous version, and some flexibility to arrange the OSD the way I want.

One trivial bug I noticed.. the display of the GPU info (below the sliders) is neat, but I have 2 780Tis and a 670 for physix installed.  When I switch to the 670, a generic "precision x16" logo is displayed, even if I switch the GPU selection back to a 780ti.

Not bad for the first release of the new precision.  It has a lot of potential.

^ I have a 670 as my main GPU and it doesn't have the name of the GPU in the place you're talking about. It might just be an issue with the 670 or the 600 line of cards.

Which skin is this? Does it work with the latest version? (16).

It is the old, old, original Precision skin from 2008.

No, it is not compatible with the latest version.  (not without being totally redone and no new skin documentation is available for the new version yet anyways)

So the new PrecisionX 16 is all well and good, but the only thing I use it for is to just make sure my temps stay in check with the fan control.
How do I kill off this OSD server nonsense that seems to fire up along with it?  I really couldn't care less about in game OSDs.

Also next time don't jack with fonts, that's really stupid.

Just turn off all related OSD functions.  That will close the server and keep it from running.

Hi, I just love EVGA PrecisionX, but the latest version 16 doesn't meet my needs anymore, I have an Logitech G15 keyboard and ALWAYS monitoring my GPU temperatures, GPU Clock & Mem Clock, Fan Speed, Just to know everything is as aspected, but in this new version, there is no way to fit all the info on the LCD Screen, I choose small font type but nothing changes, Before I could have: Mem clock, Gpu Clock, Board Usage, Fps, Fan Speed, Memory Usage for BOTH my card (2xSLI) now I can have 3 of them for ONE card, can someone please look into this, I like the old system for doing this but this was (sorry) garbage for me, Doesn't like 3rd application like HWMonitor or G15SpeedFan, I'll have to downgrade now to be able to watch my info and know everything is as it should :) other than this, awesome work EVGA!

I don't know if this was mentioned but I'm having an issue with the new precision tool.  In FFXIV I can't use the "Ctrl" button.  Once I close out of the Precision tool, the ctrl button becomes available again in game.  Any suggestions?

-Edit- Please disregard, I found the solution

Am I missing something? Cause I don't see anything in the UI or graphs for the memory clock. I found how to enable it as a system tray item but not in the UI...

Yeah Nvidia didn't even use to provide drivers for mobile versions for their chipsets for the longest time cuz they didn't want to deal with it and told you to bug the OEM.
At least now they let you download generic versions of their drivers for laptops but still include a hundred warnings when you download it and basically says use at own risk

I was going to switch from Afterburner but if it is not working in 64bit games then I'm not interested. That has always been the problem with the OSD and precisionX. No 64bit support.
