New X1 version doesn’t save any power target setting correctly and switches back to one from profile 1 on other profiles with my 2080 Ti. Same like previous version. Really on the state of giving up and using afterburner instead.

will try that, thanks. Ok works for now after deleting and reinstalling + admin start. Thanks. So it works. But: I still can´t set power and temp target individually. If I make power and temp target 100/80 instead of 100/84 it still goes back to 87/80 after restarting X1 and using the setting. This makes me so mad since I have to set it manually to 80 temp limit after every restart and profile switch. How can these basic features not work?

Had a lock up and freeze with this version upon opening on Windows 10 build 1903, think it may have an issue with the new build as nothing like this has ever occurred before

Yes, upgrade. Planning on doing a fresh install once it hits the Microsoft media creation tool. Just wanted to test it out as I'd heard some people are getting decent performance increases for just an OS update. Also edit: just noticed my language was rather inprecise, the application locked to and froze not the OS. Should also note it only happened once.

You can try a PX1 Clean Up to see if it helps. https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2947719https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2947737

Thanks I'll give that a try, I was thinking I'd try uninstalling and reinstalling px1 as I updated not only the OS but updated to the hotfix driver as well.

I read about that, the power limit issue right? It is odd to me. I appear to have the issue. It shows only 100% in GPU-Z, and my wattage in PX1 osd isn't as high, however my card boosts to the exact same clocks without OC applied and with, and my OC is just as stable as previous versions. Which it never was before without the higher power Target and voltage. So the way I see it is, either it is just displaying wrong, which I doubt because it's showing on GPU-Z and the osd wattage measurement reflects it Or between the driver and the newer version of px1 my overclocks are way more stable. Which I hope means that when the power issue is fixed I can push even higher. But either way, it hasn't impacted anything for me in real world performance. Same peak frequency, same frequency at gaming temp, a few extra frames in my more demanding games actually. So the issue really confuses me honestly.

There is a lot more issue than just the PX1. One of the big ones is the High CPU Usage with the Driver and nothing to do with PX1.

The problem with setting it up as "Run as Administrator" is the PX1 "Start With OS" does not work. I know you don't prefer to start PX1 with OS, but I prefer it.

There is only one WinRing in the reg. its labeled WinRing0_1_2_0. Would this be what I should delete? Thank you for your help, I'm trying the steps you've given me now. Hopefully this will fix the phantom fan that px1 sometimes registers as running.

Thanks for the info. Everything went well. Still have the phantom fan issue. I have changed out the stock ftw3 cooler for a hydro copper and sometimes px1 registers a fan running at sporadic speeds. It's not always there. I wonder if the fan header could be touching something it shouldn't be. IDK but it didn't do it until updating to the px1 v.15 anyways, Thanks again for the info.

When you installed PX1 did your Card get a LED Firmware prompt to upgrade? And you are welcome we all help when we can.

When o when will this junk software actually be completely usable? Still problems with the OSD displaying erratically, amongst other issues. Each time I install a new beta I pray to the Gods that somehow it will finally be a stable fully functional build. Then I revert back to afterburner within a day or two full of disappointment about my purchase of a premium evga product. Funnily enough afterburner works flawlessly every time. Albeit without the ability to support the extra ftw3 functionality I've paid a premium for but cant actually use. What exactly is the problem here and why is it taking so long to get this program stable?

There is no need to run PX1 as an administrator under Driver 425.31. Blame NVIDIA for this starting with Driver 430.39 and newer. See Thread Power Target cannot be changed after updating to NVidia driver 430.39

Somethings always really wrong with px1. As for your application crash, check this thread on how to clean uninstall everything px1 releated as well as uninstalling nvidia graphic drivers using DDU.
That “should” fix the crash on launch.

I have no problem with my current graphic driver and XOC, only X1 act like it's not working. I see starting logo, but i don't see main menu. Software crash before that. How NVIDIA power Targer problem connected to Precision X1 start? Which NVIDIA driver version i may use with X1? I deleted EVGA folders in diffirent locations before X1 installation and result always was same - X1 don't even start after logo. All i want is working G.P.M. LED of iCX at windows boot, but it's not working in XOC and not working in X1. What the hell? =) P.S. One more thing - normal user must stay away from RegEdit as far as possible. Since one wrong deleted key and you have to reinstall windows. In another topic was few folders names without full address. It's not how things are done with RegEdit fix.

As for the winring0 Regedit issue they suggest regedit because you usually can’t delete the file winring0 located in programfiles / Evga because it states its being used by another program. I don’t mess around with reg edit in this case I just rename the file to something random and reboot the computer then I’m able to delete the file.
I use nvidia driver 430.53 which seems to work fine for me on my 1080ti ftw3 hybrid using px1.
I don’t keep XOC installed if I’m going to use PX1 though.
For start as administrator I usually set the application to start as administrator in program compatibility settings.
