Hi to everyone!

I've seen this article, and before to buy it, I would like to know if Evga PowerLink could affect overlooking performance (max boost frequency)

https://eu.evga.com/articles/01366/power-link/

Thanks

I used the powerlinks constantly until i went with the kingpin cards which they are not needed because the power connectors are already on the end of the card. I had no issues at all with them and was always in the top 20 ranks of the futuremark hall of fame with the 2080ti's. There is no downfall or performance drop when using them, only benefits and a better looking cable management with them.

    Hello,

This shouldn't affect the performance of your card at all.

If you already have capacitors in the PSU cables, the PowerLink will do nothing for overclocking.

How many people do you think have capacitators in the PSU cables?

Owners of EVGA G2 and P2 power supplies. Owners of some Seasonic power supplies. Owners of some Corsair power supplies. Owners of some Silverstone power supplies. Owners of some Antec power supplies. Owners of some Thermaltake power supplies. Probably many more. Owners of power supplies with heatshrinked bulges near the end of their cables.

I recently tried one of mine on my new build because the psu wires were just to close to the glass this time , the bend didn't look right.
I couldn't believe how easy it was to use  & how much nicer it looked as well... Not sure why I never got around to trying them before but I'm glad I did now.

Not really good info; it's just a press release repeating the same information.

If the small amount of ripple could affect overclocking performance, why don't we see extreme overclockers like KingPin using the PowerLink.

    No Powerlink
No Capacitors in the PCIE cables

Only good info is the comments section. If anyone's worried about ripple messing with overclocking performance, buy a good quality PSU.
