GuessWhoItIs With a 9900k and this card... is an 850 watt power supply enough, should I upgrade to 1000w?
850w is more than enough unless you're running some unrealistic benchmark like Furmark which I wouldn't since it could damage ones GPU.
Great, I wouldnt run those types of benchmarks. Overclocking both Kingpin and 9900k, with 10 fans in the case, I'd assume peaks at 700+ watts for my usage... I'll have to recalculate to be sure

My apologies as I thought this was meant for a reference based GPU. lol With a Kingpin I would go with a 1000w PSU to be safe and give you wiggle room, especially on an almost $2K GPU.

You need the Version Dated After the Current Release: 2/27/2019, so it should have an April Date.

I don't see why not. Also, has anyone else from Canada ordered a KPE? Or anyone relatively far from Cali? Reason I ask is because UPS sent me a shipping update saying the package will be delivered tomorrow!? That is insane if true but methinks it's an issue on UPS' end. I was expecting to have to wait until Friday at best, next week at worst. Lastly, the cards remained in-stock way longer than I anticipated they would! I honestly thought they would be gone inside of an hour; maybe even quicker.

I suspect it comes down to the $1900 price tag being too tough to justify for many current 2080 ti owners, including myself. I was prepared to return my 2080 ti FTW3 Ultra to Microcenter and spend up to $1700 on the Kingpin. But $1900 is asking a lot when my GPU (with an EVGA Hybrid kit) can already hold steady core clocks between 2050-2100MHz with 8000 memory and never break 60c during 2+ hour gaming sessions on a 3440x1440 120hz monitor. Don't get me wrong, I have it added to my cart and just keep staring at it. And if I didn't already have a watercooled 2080 ti, I'd probably splurge on the Kingpin for the sake of getting a more unique card with what should undoubtedly be higher resale value down the road. But the real world gaming performance improvement just doesn't seem to hold up to the price hike for many of us. Unless you plan to use it in a full custom water loop to unlock that 2300MHz holy grail.

I think that could have something to do with it, even though with the Associates Code it is essentially $1800, same price as the Galax HOF. Even at $2k I expected a quick sell-out, guess I overestimated demand. People are just getting tired of Nvidia in general too I think, with the whole RTX launch fiasco/price gouging issues. I wouldn't count on the KPE holding a significantly higher resale value than any other good AIB 2080Ti's, but I live in Canada; I assume the resale market up here is much different than from in the US just due to population alone. As has been repeated seemingly ad-nauseam since KPE's were ever created... the cards are created with a very specific purpose in mind and any random casuals entering unwittingly into the KPE space just thinking it will be some monster next-level gaming GPU compared to all others will most likely end up with a severe case of buyer's remorse. If we can manage 2.3ghz in an open-loop without running too crazy a voltage, that will be very nice! I think it'll come down to how much rad-space/heat dissipation you have in your loop... 2080Ti's are just a PITA when it comes to OC'ing.

Beware the UPS brokerage fees for importing the card. Likely to be well over $100 Canadian.

Brokerage actually won't be much of an issue as I selected Worldwide Saver which has the brokerage cost baked in IIRC. I am fully expecting to pay the 13% sales tax and some sort of customs fee though. Last time I ordered from EVGA the fee's were actually very reasonable. It's been a while but certainly last time the key was choosing UPS Worldwide Saver as shipping method.

Brokerage fees on my z390 Dark were $80. Taxes were about the same. When I inquired from them when I got the email they indicated it is tied to the retail price in Canadian dollars of the item. But I may have misunderstood that part. Enjoy the new card!

Lots of factors can go into that. You're not wrong for pointing it out... you never really know but as you are seemingly alluding to; it's good practice to expect the worst LOL. I'm prepared for every scenario, even if it means paying exorbitant import fees. The cost of being on the bleeding edge... never ending! Thanks! I'll be super stoked if it actually shows up tomorrow.

I think you'll be ok with 1600w but I would also grab a Kill-a-Watt just to monitor your setup if you feel you're too close or at least with such premium priced gear.

What exactly are you doing that requires the GPU power of 2 if these Kingpin GPUs? I'm genuinely curious and intrigued.

EVGA, I would really appreciate some real information on when the card will come to Europe? I asked the same question last night, but no reply as of yet. EVGA got fans worldwide, and the card isn't really "here" for many of us, it would be nice with any information at this point ,even if it is just telling us that it is coming later. Please, drop something. /M

You would probably need to be pushing 1.5v on both cards under LN2 before worrying about whether the 1600W would cut it. You'll be fine if using the cards in an open-loop as daily drivers with moderate OC (say 2.2ghz-2.3ghz @ ~1.15v).

strufa i'm planning on using a custom loop with 2 kingpins would a 1600 watt titanium EVGA power supply be enough for both including a watercooled cpu like the new ryzen 12 core 24 thread processor coming out soon? Or, should I buy an extra power supply?
What exactly are you doing that requires the GPU power of 2 if these Kingpin GPUs? I'm genuinely curious and intrigued.
Is it every a bad thing to have too much power in a system? SLI gaming still is around.
