Congrats to those who got their HC blocks!

I am curious, what do you guys think a used KPE should sell for in 2019?

Now that a block will be making its way to me, it’s going to talk all of the mental fortitude in the world to hold off on a new case build until the Luxe 2 comes out. Extremely painful but worth it in the end I suppose. Doing it with something like the Enthoo Elite is extremely tempting but the value proposition there is just too poor at this point.

So I’m not the only one eyeing the Luxe 2. :) I put my new build with the KPE in a Fractal Define R6 and have been less than impressed. I know ifs a good case, and great for ATX builds but for my mobo it’s just not going to cut it. I preordered the Enthoo Elite when it cam out and I reckon I will be doing the same with the Luxe 2. I could use the SMA8 I have stashed away but at this point it’s an investment.

'Bout tree fiddy or thereabouts.

I have a Define R6 sitting around among my extra parts and whatnot. Was considering using it but it just doesn't have the radiator space for the build I want to do. That and I have a Maximus XI Extreme, which won't fit in that case. It barely fit well in the Evolv X.

Hi all

is there any possible way to buy the "" in Germany ?
I already bought  from Caseking. i also contacted them and ask for help but they are not able to (at this moments).
Evga Eu - Germany does not listet the Kingpin at all...

pls Help

Neighbouring country here (to germany), bought kingpin from caseking(since its the only site with a "reasonable" price) as well, we have to wait until they get stock which might take anywhere from a week to few weeks just like it was with kingpin. I too asked them and they said not yet available but that it should be in the near future.

Also, EU EVGA will not be selling the kingpin or the block for now, if ever. At least thats what the support told me, only shops like caseking and scan.co.uk will.

in 10/7/2017, i bought the kingpin 1080 ti hydro copper waterblock from evga eu store. i hope they do that again

What do you want to use in the R6? It will fit 2x 360mm rads and will also fit EATX boards... I'm using an EATX board in mine right now. They are very good cases, among the top 5 in that form factor IMHO. If you have an SMA8, though, then I would break that baby out and use it no question. If I were buying a new case these days it would probably be the Lian-Li 011 Dynamic or 011 Dynamic XL.

Saw this sample pic of what can be put in those cases.  I have seen some users with somewhat med-high temps from some folks.  I don't know why or what they have configured but both front, bottom and top should be intakes, assuming there's filters there with the rear as exhaust should remedy any temp issues being a mid sized case.

For sure, intake all the way on the rads. I would ditch the distribution plate and go with 3x 360mm in a single-GPU setup though.

This is what I'd probably duplicate if I bought one...:

...though I would use either less RGB or no RGB at all; and probably the black version of the case. That white build would look very good with no RGB too.

To do that with a GPU like the KPE or FTW3 we would have to wait for the 011 Dynamic XL. I don't believe the standard 011 Dynamic can fit a super-wide GPU like the KPE or FTW3 without a minor modification, albeit VERY minor.

One of the reasons I would go with those mid cases is because of that custom res/pump combo in the case. lol  Other than that, I can't stand mid cases when it comes to adding custom H20 and getting your hands in there to do things.  While I like big cases for that, I can't stand their weight lol but I chose to go with the bigger cases for ease of maintenance, upgrades, etc.

RGBs could always be turned off.  I like having them everywhere just cause in case I want to change up my lighting theme or use them as temp indicators which I currently do via water temps.  The case basically changes color close to red when I fold since it gets close to the max LED temp threshold I have set just like the GPU.

White cases are great but I personally can't stand it cause it's such a strong contrast color.  I'd rather worth with all black and use w/e coloring after the fact via tubing and RGB LEDs or ARBGs possibly but that would recall a complete overhaul of all my lighting and more $$$ to spend but not looking to do so in the forseeable future.

If that is the case then I personally would opt for the front distribution-plate and not the one on the side. I'm not sure if it's a completely different part or if that part is just interchangeable between those 2 locations. As far as RGB goes I'm just not a fan... white LED strips for accent lighting at the absolute most for me!

@people talking cases in the KPE thread. I has the O11D. Great case and will put the KPE build in the new O11D-XL at release which happens to be end of July. If I get bored before that maybe KPE and a 9900K build will rent out space in SL-600M.

My KPE fit in my O11 Dynamic with the stock cooler, but its not going to with the hydro copper. I bought the vertical gpu mount for that tho.

Yeah it's just the waterblock(s) that causes the issue. The inlet/outlet piece that sticks out comes into contact with the glass preventing the panel from seating flush. That said it's easily remedied by fashioning an acrylic spacer for the glass door.

If they wouldnt have put those ports on it, it wouldve fit, the only problem with the spacer is, thats not a tradition mount design like everything else, it sits in a slot on the feet and has two slots in the top. im fine with vertical mounting mine tho, case temps are awesome from what ive seen

Re: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti KINGPIN is HERE! 2019/06/01 03:37:00 (permalink)
I think the case design has a slight flaw for not designing it with enough room for a custom size board with a hydro copper imho.

I do like their bigger cases particularly the PC-V3000 and what looks like a bigger version of the 011 Dynamic, the PC-011 WGX.

Deg, I think I've seen what you're talking about with the res/pump in the front instead of the side.  I don't see why not since they'll use the same fan area but not sure how they clamp down on it, assuming through the fan holes.

This is crazy after searching around how many competitors are there for this.

Bykski on Amazon

Bitspower or Bitspower at PCS

Barrow at PCS

Some dude on Ebay making some killer gear with CNC machines along with his own youtube channel.

Dynamic UNO - Front Panel

I seriously can't wait what the future holds for future case designs seeing what's being created now.  I have a feeling we'll be seeing case mfger's implementing waterways throughout their cases inside it's structure, maybe some parts with acrylic use for flow or lighting with pump mounts so you can buy your own pump and all you would need to do is install a pump since the reservoir's already built in as well and route tubing from a port built into the case chassis to the block and back again to continue the circulation. That would cut down costs for custom cooling purchases in hopes it's not too much of a added cost for manufacturers since we assume they'll be making them in bulk.

Now I think I am finally ready for some DICE. Only issue is no CPU Pot.  Dragon F1 has been out of stock for a bit. Any leads?

No just simulated with a Thermosphere + G92.  Broke the card down in prep for HC and that silly G92 bracket finally arrived. Ordered it weeks ago.

I'm not expecting anymore perf out of the KPE until I get her down to -30c +
Had liquid temp down last night @ ~ -.05c but temps climbed all the way back up to 27c peak @ load. Was only using H20 + biocide so couldn't go any lower. Shame I didn't have any subzero coolant because dew point was really low last night ~1c after sucking all the humidity out of my Bench cave.

Ran 2250 MHZ @ 1.181v GPUV core mostly which seems pretty decent for below ambient. Though TimeSpy would only run 2235.

Nice to see as a result of lower thermal pressure on the PCB mem temps peaked @ 45c ish with an average of 36c
Mem was @ +1480 to +1660 ish @ 1.5v

Yup, I think I will order the O11 in white...the R6 gets way too crowded with the KP rad in front and H150i on top. It just doesn't look good.

Can you fit another 120mm fan on the side of the O11 with the KP's radiator mounted?

By the way, I stumbled upon Z390 Dark lately, a guy was selling it locally, needless to say I jumped on it in a second...should arrive on monday.
I've put the ASUS straight away on classifieds...
