Welcome to the Forum.
Who has a Custom Bios?
Are you going to install a Galax HOF OC lab wc Bios on your EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti K|NGP|N Graphics Card?

Oh gosh, just got my other kingpin installed and can't even sli it yet. My previous board was the Asus Rampage VI Apex and when it went in to be RMA'd i ended up getting the Asus Rampage VI Extreme Omega to replace it. I had the nvlink 4 space while using the Apex now i didn't even notice till now the Omega needs the 3 space nvlink. Ughhhhh.

That's gota hurt!

Hopefully ya got a microcenter or frys near by and can get one locally.

No nothing like that here by me, i ordered one from Amazon to be here on Tuesday.

I would love that 240mm radiator on the kingpin edition for my 2080 Ti hybrid FTW3. Are we going to be able to purchase that at some point? I find this 120mm radiator just isn't good enough. With good fans, it stays at 66C, but I want it below 60C if possible.

Be nice but I'm sure they want the kingpin to have a clear advantage in power and cooling.

Slap a hydro copper block on her and smile. Then you can have whatever radiator ya want.

Usually the “NextGen” tech released on the Kingpin Cards shows up in the next series of mainstream products.

Example: The 980FTW had single color LED and the 980 Kingpin introduced RGB led’s.

1080FTW was the next gen and had RGB.

I would suspect that the 240mm radiator will be seen in the future as well, but as far as case compatibility, I don’t think it will be mainstream for the 2080ti FTW3 right away. EVGA could always surprise us all though, so keep your eyes and ears open.

It would be nice if they allowed their customers to choose between the cost of a 120mm or 240mm like those GPU brackets from NZXT and Corsair.

If they did, no one would be buying the cards with the single 120mm fan. Hehe

Honestly people would choose the 120.3 over the 120.2 of they had the chance. 120.3 would prob fit in the same spot there installing the 120.2. So why not just go with the tripple fan rad?

It's not like were talking going from a 120.3 to a 120.4. Then it would make or break most cases.

I think 240mm worth of rad is more than enough for a GPU but 360/480mm you'll surely hit diminishing returns and the cost will be much higher plus some cases might not have the room as you already said and the tubing won't reach to those areas since you'll want the tubing starting at the bottom of the rads placement so the air gets trapped at the top of the rad but regardless, it would be nice to be able to choose your own cooler.  The issue than becomes if it's too complicated for most users and if it's worth dealing with the amount of RMAs from user error.

Re: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti KINGPIN is HERE! 2019/04/15 03:32:19 (permalink)
This year K|NGP|N is far better than Matrix from ASUS. They presented before few months
but still didn't launched him. I would not surprise if they have some temperature or technical problems with innovative approach they presented.

Matrix RTX2080Ti could be better than Strix, but most important part of closed liquid cooling systems is installation of radiator in exhaust configuration.
Than practically 90% of all heat from GPU go out of case and save money on case fans. I never believed so much in case fans to help with air cooled graphic card, special hot high end overclocked models. AIO or waterblock are must have.

I don't know how people with deeper budget think but I would rather pay more for this kind of GPU and upgrade later than to buy every series of reference model.
This is nicest K|NGP|N for me. Probably because I start to buy AIO CPU coolers from beginning and because temperatures are better than air cooled cards.

Good option for EVGA RTX2080Ti K|NGP|N is installation of two Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM, 2000 RPM.
Noctua offer and small fan controller NA FC1 for 3 fans and have extension.
He could stay out of PC case and when you play games you increase fan speed on 2000 RPM.
Believe me it's not noisy at all and air pressure is amazing. They will drop temperatures for 3-4C maybe even 5 for sure compare to other fans.

Matrix has been released yesterday, think there was one review up and its basically only a bit better than their strix in terms of cooling. It also costs the same as kingpin for some reason. 360W max power draw.

Fellow Kingpin owners, what are your gaming clocks like? I’ve pushed the core from 90 to 115 in some gaming benchmarks and my clocks still level out at about 2100 MHz. No major fluctuations at all, though.

This kind of lines up with what TiN said in his guide, however. I’m getting a considerable performance boost with those core clocks and +1000 on the memory. I’d go higher on memory but some of the games I play can be finicky sometimes.

The sweet spot on mine for stability and best benchmarks seems to be +120 clock and +1240 memory.

What are your core clocks like during actual gameplay? Where do they stabilize out when your card is pretty well heat soaked?

Now I saw Matrix on TPU and Nexus...
Cleaning of radiator below shroud and fans inside will be hell.
Removing backplate, removing pump and plate from GPU chip, insane...
You need to remove everything, and than again installation paste on chip.

They build that nicely and look cool, but it's not practic at all and air go in case.
You have radiator intake configuration, worse than intake. He use air from case and push air back in case.

Cleaning will be chaos, 3 month and radiator need cleaning.
With K|NGP|N you need to remove fan screws and that's it. GPU could stay installed in motherboard.
HUGE advantage of K|NGP|N over Matrix.

I'm getting +115 GPU and +1350 memory if I up the memory voltage to 1.45 V.  Any other tweaks you guys have been making to the other voltage settings in the Classified tool?

What are all of your actual clocks. 99% of cards are not at the same base numbers after GPU Boost, so +125 could mean a large variance in actual clocks.

Thank you for your report!  We've added EVGA iCX2 sensor support for your
video card in the latest AIDA64 beta update:

For some reason this Beta Version Dropped the GPU Fan RPM so I went back one Beta Version.

For gaming I've been stable at 2130MHz with +600 on memory... I used to be stable at 2160MHz with +800 on memory, but for some reason that is no longer

Vince mentioned something in a Facebook post about stock coming in every* other week.  So maybe next week?  I'd subscribe to the product notification and follow EVGA and Jacob on twitter.

Got mine on Friday and had a fun weekend!
Stock voltage: +130 (2160mhz) / +1300
Classified Tool: +140 (2175mhz) 1.15v / +1360 1.43v

Best Port Royal run so far 9694:

Above is on an X299 Dark.  Last night I popped the card over to a Z390 Dark and managed a 9663 at +130 / +1340 (1.418v).  But I ran into a problem.  Trying to go for +140  on the Z390 and measuring NVVDD with a DMM, I can see the GPU voltage drops low to below 0.95v when I try to run Port Royal with any manually set NVVDD in Classified Tool.  The GPU clock rate is reported correctly in the Afterburner monitor but the frame rates are way low and the score come out around 7600.  I'm troubleshooting this still.
