3 minutes means what.... I get to wait 3 years ?
Technically if you only have one data point the estimated wait time is infinite...

Hopefully it should be a little better, given it's a 3090 and it's a HC. Not a ton of people were looking for 3090s in the first place and even less have custom loops and were holding out for a HC specifically. Then on that note, the serious overclockers/enthusiasts are probably holding out for the Kingpin. Is it going to be quick? Probably not. Comparable to the 3080 queue though? Nah. For reference, I queued up for a 3090 at one point in December, got the notify sometime in February/March. So much quicker turnaround time there in comparison. Again, I can only assume less people are queuing up for a HydroCopper version as it's a bit more niche.

Yeah but at the same time there are who never thought about going for a custom loop but only signed up for the HC queue because they thought it is the queue that they can get the fastest result.
I think we’re going to see quite an bit GPU only custom loop questions/threads popping up soon after deliveries start. I hope I’m wrong though.

True, there's definitely that possibility. Gonna be a rude awakening when they order the card to find out they gotta drop even more on a custom loop. I'm right there with you though, there's bound to be at least 1 or 2 threads along the lines of "how do I install this in my system? WHAT DO YOU MEAN I NEED A CUSTOM LOOP TOO??"

by the time you are done with loop and HC card you basically spend the equivalent to buying a scalped card, between HC card and loop XD

I just randomly signed up for the Kingpin notify and thought, hey that's not really a bad price. Too bad there's not a 3080 Ti Kingpin, I'd seriously consider it at under $1500.

Good luck building a custom loop now, anyways. Block inventory is low for EK, and buying decent tubing is expensive with all the polymer shortages. I'm running my loop beyond its recommended maintenance schedule waiting to tear out my 980 ti's. :/

Yes, but you wouldn’t need a block for the HC cards would you? Tubing would still be more accessible than the rest once you took the block out of the equation. Especially if one goes with flexible tubing.

You wouldn't need a block if you're already buying a HC. But if you're starting from new you most likely want at least a block for your CPU, especially since a decent CPU block will out-perform AIOs offered for a similar price. Logically, the thing to do would be to build a GPU only loop and get by with a cheap air cooler (212 EVO, anyone?) until you can get a CPU block. But people don't always go the logical route when they're spending thousands on a custom loop PC. :D

Anyone know how much power the fan cable can provide on the hybrid kit? I wanna do push pull and use 2 splitters to run all 4 fans off the GPU cable. Just wanna make sure it can put out enough power.

better idea is to use a powered fan hub to allow gpu to have that little bit more power for boosting clocks, otherwise I assume it should handle 4 fans no problem, especially if they are efficient ones

Got my big boy fans mounted up. 50C in Furmark at 445w average. Coolant temps down from about 36-37C to about 33C. Hella loud at 3400 RPM.

Fan connectors are generally rated for 1 Amp so I wouldn't recommend using more than 3 fans on one pin unless your using a powered splitter like the EK-Cable Splitter 4-Fan PWM Extended. There is a good reason they don't make unpowered 4 fan splitters...

There are two connectors on the rad fan harness, you can run a pair of splitters to get four fans. I would try to stay well under 1 Amp, so any 2000RPM fan should be fine, like a Noctua A12x25 or 2150 RPM Gentle Typhoon or 2000 RPM Noctua Industrial, but the four of the 3000 RPM Noctua Industrial would take you up to about 1.2A. You can also run the connector to a powered fan hub and power it off a sata connector, using the card's PWM signal for control. Mine is currently going to the case fan hub (Lian Li Lancool II) where it is running four San Ace server fans on the radiator that are about .85A each nominally, max out at 3400 RPM at 12V at 100% PWM. The card's PWM has a limited max and min PWM, so if you want full range use a MB header and "Fan Control" software. Here is a hub on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08BFJZWGM/ I bought one but have not had a chance to try it out. I recommend the Noctua splitters, I've never had a problem with them, high quality. The A12's while spendy do include splitters.
