So probably not the best spot to ask this, but I am on the fence between the 3090 FTW3 hybrid and the same card in the 3080. I have a 2080TI ftw3 hybrid now and wanted to upgrade. The main reason I am on the fence is because of the rumored 3080TI. Part of me says just wait a few months and see how things shake out but as most people here probably understand I am impatient. I am leaning towards going the 3090 but would probably regret that a bit if they do come out with the 3080TI.
So I guess my question is this, if I get the 3080 FTW3 Hybrid would that be eligible for the step to the 3080TI in a few months? Assuming that even comes out as I think it's still rumor at this point.
If I were you I would wait. The main reason I say this is because you already have a good card. I'm still running a 980SC so I get your comment about being impatient. It's hard to see so many cards flying by, but I'm holding out for a 3080HC or a 3090HC, whatever I can get first. I passed on a 3080 FTW Ultra and a 3090 XC Hybrid. I could have had either of them in hand by now, but I passed because I don't want a card with fans. The risk you're taking is that you are holding out for a card that doesn't officially exist at the moment. When I canceled my time stamp that was about to come up for a 3080 FTW Ultra, the HC's had been announced by then, so I knew that they are out there somewhere. You're flying blind, but it doesn't really matter because one of two things IS going to happen. Either your will get a 3080TI in the first quarter of 2021, or demand for most of the other 3000 series cards will stabilize by then and you will be able to get the 3080/3090 Hybrid that you mentioned without any hassles.

Per my earlier, I agree that if murlo26's ultimate target card is the 3080Ti Hybrid, he should wait for it (I don't think the step-up program will include hybrids...at least for a while yet). You've been at the card hunt thing since the beginning and you're dead set on the HCs. I really hope this delay is short-lived and that your patience is rewarded with a shorter wait. Best of luck!

Any sign of the hydro-coppers in europe yet?
Had 2 FTW3 3090s die and just refunded after the second one so I was gonna get one of these but theres no sign of any movement on EU stores.

The logic is: Jacob said they won't reopen the notify queue until the initial queue from 11/13 is cleared. There is still a queue for the 3080 XC3 hybrid, however, the notify queue is reopening today at 9:00am. Therefore, if Jacob was not misinformed or misleading, we can expect the initial queue for the 3080 XC3 hybrid from 11/13 to be cleared today.

There might be a small overlap to account for EVGA preparing for some stragglers, but it makes logical sense for them to complete the existing queue over today...and...possibly the beginning of the next drop (but I think it will be today). Best of luck!

I would like to ask about the step up program? The XC3 3080 Hybrid goes into Notify today. Assuming I may be able to get on the list to purchase one today, but I really want the FTW3 version, should I do it and step up, or wait for the FTW3 to be available again?
