rjbarker ^^^ Will you get bnib or refurb....considering the premium $$$ of these Cards. Keep us posted...Im sure you will.
They said to send the card in because they might have to fix it and send it back due to limited supply. They said if I paid for cross ship they couldn't promise me they had a new card in hand to ship out immediately. Considering I had the card for about a day and a half before it failed, I think they should send me a new one. But whatever.
Yeah I hear ya...oh well hopefully 2nd Card is the charm....my overall RMA experience went very well...considering I'm north of the border.....was 9 days in total, including a weekend.

I found the nick in my performance loss since changing to the z690 MB , for some reason the order of fans plugged in was reporting 2k rpm and 2 fans on the radiator were running at 500 rpm and one was running at full , dont know why this was happening but I changed the order and they all run on the fan profile now, weird .

Jsunn Hello All, Just got my Kingpin hooked up and wanted to post back with some of my scores and see what you all thought. BIOS: LN2 Mem: +200 Core: +135 Port Royal Score: 14,925 Sliders set to max. What do you all think? Is that a good score for this board? I haven't touched the dip switches on the back of the card and have not messed with the classified tool. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, J
I didn't read through everything after your post, but just in case no one pointed it out: From what I understand and in my own testing, the Classified Tool overrides the Dip Switches (and to put it bluntly, the Dip Switches don't do much...) - They're just an old school feature from back when they were actually useful that Kingpin just kept on the card I think. The bumps from the switches are pretty minor, but if you don't wanna go bonkers, you can try them out before you go more hardcore. You can YouTube "3090 Kingpin Dip Switches" and there's some videos explaining what each one does that I used as a guide, one guy goes in to detail about how much voltage bump each switch gave his particular card's respective things. Keep in mind that messing with the one that increases the voltage to the GDDR6X vRAM is not the best idea if your vRAM is already running hot, so if you don't have additional cooling on the backside vRAM I wouldn't recommend messing with that one at all. This makes me wonder how far my former top-5 for 5950X systems single 3090 score has fallen on the leaderboards since it's like almost a year old now... lol Edit: KekW I'm still top 20!

redteamgo Hey, kraade, yes I did just do the mp5works backplate. what would you like to see?
I was wondering how it mount to the backplate, and did you used the all-in one optimus pad on the backside?
I used velcro straps to attach the mp5works black to the backplate as a temporary solution. Definitely not the prettiest solution but it works. I do have the all in one Optimus pad on the backside. It does a good job though the pad I got did not fit exactly. I still had to trim and fill but not a big deal at all. Took me about 2 min with a box cutter and a ruler. The optimus pad is really cost effective vs a full coverage Gelid 3mm pad on the back. If you're ordering the mp5works block, I'd definitely recommend getting the 8mm clips, which are not included. I have some coming... Once I get my new clips, I'll take some good pics of everything for this thread.

Hello All, This may have been answered previously, but I couldn't find it in this thread. Is there a link to the most recent version of the Classified tool? I have found a few links but not sure if it is the most recent, and the download sites seemed a bit sketchy. Thank you, Jason

What game or stress test would let the card get up to 480 watts on the OC bios?

Any other program? My card was only pulling 380 watts with power slider at 105%

HI Homestyle, what card are you running, a 3080 should pull 380w a Kingpin should pull about 420w what is your bios switch position? OC? the power limit should be more like 112% Just moving your power slider wont make the card pull more watts, it allows the card, if it needs it, to pull more watts. if you want the card to pull 480 w you might be able to peak that in the OC switch position or use LN2 position. open Kombustor and add a little but of clock offset at a time and you will see your power demand go up. + you could also run a Memory offset 1k You may crash before you sustain a full 480w; why do you want 480w, trying to heat your home? how does it score in Port Royal ?

3090 Kingpin. I was just playing with the Classified voltage sliders and MSVDD has a huge impact on power consumption. I've been running it at 0.8 and I've been stable in my overclocks. But Kombuster was only getting me 370 watts. Bumping it up to 1.0 volts and power consumption jumped to 410 watts. What is the safe 24/7 gaming voltage for MSVDD?

No idea about MSVDD specifically, but you typically need normal vcore way up at 1.075-1.1v to hit max power on normal loads. Furmark is such a high load it can do it under 1V. Are you running the latest PX1 and hitting 'apply' - ie. are other settings changes taking effect? The 100% PL is 420w and should be fairly easy to hit. What resolution are you running loads at?

Its the secondary GPU die voltage, I think you would want to decrease it until stability decreases and leave it but I don't use the classified tool for any daily driver settings , if anything a basic undervolt is probably best , Increasing voltage sliders in the Classified tool can increase you power demand and actually make your card perform worse, I have pulled 565 watts in a Port royal run and got a whopping 13871 for my efforts.

For Homestyle: https://forums.evga.com/Need-help-with-the-Classified-Tool-on-the-3090-Kingpin-m3183678.aspx Maybe running a low MSVDD is reducing the impacted area power consumption but the card is hitting an internal power limit somewhere else, resulting a low max power.
