Right at the end of the EVGA Weekly Twitch Podcast a few minutes back, Jacob said for anyone holding out for the K|ngP|n Hydro Coppers, it's unlikely to happen this year. Thanks Santa.

I gave up on a 3090 period. When they are available the price increase is always so high that it's not worth it.

No. It's been the same delivery date since it first shipped out.

Mmm...maybe there'd be less successful scalpers. Look, its a variation of the "tragedy of the commons"...it isn't going away any time soon.

More scalpers , here is my 2 cents. There should be hardware binding to the buyer. For example: if you want to buy a next-gen-product you have to link the purchase to a user account. This would be a hardware id bind, the bind will expire 3 months after purchase allowing it to be sold 2nd hand. When the next-gen-product is turned on for the first time it will lookup online for the corresponding user account. This account will have to be bound to a credit card, the bound credit card will be used to activate next-gen-product for the first time. Sure it is not completely fool proof, the main point is to deter scalpers being able to sell it 100% fresh band new, if they have to start doing gymnastics to make a sale people will lose confidence in making a purchase(for example the box has to be opened for the scalper to activate it, and the scalpers credit card details are bound to account on the device). If something goes wrong people will take it out on the scalper not the company, this further diminishes the guarantee turnover from scalping. With EVGA products warranty could be auto-bound to the buyer on purchase. And to use the software utilities, one might have to login to their EVGA account that purchased the card. All of the details from the original purchase will be visible anytime the person logs in making any would-be scalper uncomfortable if they try ship the card with their user/pass. The fall out from these type of measures is scalpers and scalper-consumers being upset, neither being a bad thing. Remember at the end of the day there isn't a robocop solution, we can only work on making it uncomfortable for scalpers so it isn't a flip and forget situation.

Yep, He bought a preorder on a scalped 3090 Kingpin, But that doesn't necessarily mean he will get it!
That’s what I was thinking, too! Maybe he’ll receive a well-packaged lump of coal.

I cannot blame anyone for selling their KP based on the scores posted by real customers thus far. If things don't improve, I will do the same. Kudos to the sellers for seeing the smoke signals before the fire. I'm going to end up choking on the flames a bit due to opening the box and testing mine....

Yea man, it's so disappointing! Just based on bench scores alone, this gen KPE is just glorified ftw3

It is hard to sum up my feelings after buying two 3090 ftw3 ultras and a KP. Disappointment is a start...

I’m planning on using mine for hardcore multi monitor flight simming for real world flight training and proficiency and gaming, so no LN2 planned here. I would be more than happy to have a glorified FTW3, so if anyone who is severely disappointed in the KPE bench performance wants to remove their notifies and let the rest of us have a shot at them sooner, that would be much appreciated!

Thats sounds reasonable to me. I'm confused at the comments that I see about the performance #'s, we all saw what is was before the emails were sent out to purchase. I've also been telling folks here since the start of these treads that your not going to see the full potential of these unless they are cooled with sub0 temps. Somehow there is a false expectation that under ambient conditions is going to have some miraculous performance gains.

+1! I wholeheartedly agree with all of that. Plus in my case, I’ve already given the FTW3 Ultra a shot and, as everyone knows, I ended up with the Red Light of Death. So unless I want to keep trying my luck at getting a FTW3 that will last more than two days, KPE is my last and best option in the EVGA world.
