 Also one other thing I've noticed is no coil whine on this card. Not even a little bit during gaming. I hope it doesn't develop on its own over time. My 2080ti had tons of coil whine which really annoyed me.

Pretty sure mine does. I can tab in and out of a high fps game and the buzz is only there when tabbed into the game.

 
I'm not sure if this makes a difference but I recently purchased a pure sine wave UPS a week ago after reading on here about how it reduces coil whine. Perhaps that is what's helping eliminate the coil whine?

I believe that's true. 1 fan setting is the physical fan installed on the GPU itself to cool the memory and stuff, and the other fan setting is the fan(s) on the radiator. I believe the pump does run at 100% regardless since I don't think there's a setting anywhere.

Hmm that's odd. On my Kingpin 2080ti I noticed the second fan controlled the pump and increasing the load on that made a very obvious buzzing sound but would not affect fan speeds.

On the Kingpin 3090 I noticed if I do the same on the second fan control then I hear a buzzing along with the radiator fans speed up.

I don't think the pump is running at 100% all the time because I feel like I would hear buzzing like I do with the CPU pump (or with the 2080ti pump) but I don't hear any buzzing until the load is higher on the second fan... unless the pump on the 3090 is actually running at 100% but is just really quiet. I'm comparing it to a previous generation card after all.

I can vouch for the pure sine wave UPS potentially eliminating coil whine. I have been using a pure sine wave UPS for years and have never experienced any coil whine with either my 1080ti or 2080ti hybrids.

Do you still get a slight buzzing sound here and there? It's different from coil whine but that's what I experience during games sometimes.

How is the pump noise on the Kingpin?

That is the one thing I noticed. My system is very quiet, and I can hear it. Saying that I cant tell you exactly as I dont have a way to measure it. I have an EasyXL open bench with 2 aquacomputer d5's and six 140mm Noiseblocker fans running at min speed, and its the loudest component. 

Have a newer Apple Watch? Or know someone who does? It has a built in db meter...

Android has a few, not sure of their accuracy, I guess it depends on your device. Not sure how (or if) they can be calibrated:

How is the pump noise on the Kingpin?

The pump is the loudest pump I ever had in all the AIO. It is like a mini-fridge sitting next to me. I don't know why EVGA choose not put a pump speed adjust in precision X1.
The only way to solve this is to connect the pump cable to motherboard fan or pump 4-pin like 2080ti kingpin but I'm not going to do it right now.

As an alternative; on the 2080Ti Kingpin you could use a small, weak, fridge-style magnet to reduce the pump noise. My 2080Ti CLC was very loud and I used the magnet trick successfully. I used tac putty to mount it to the shroud. I did this for a while before adding it to a custom loop, worked well and didn't affect performance.
 
It is certainly strange they haven't implemented pump speed control yet; it's been many generations now of pump noise complaints in the Hybrid CLC's and it's not as if pump-speed adjustment hasn't already been requested ad nauseam on the forums.

I’m with you. At this point, though, I’ll be cautiously pessimistic about “next week” meaning next Friday. Anything sooner will be a bonus.

Yeah, I have trying to get a EVGA RTX 3090 since launch not only for the games I currently play but for Cyberpunk 2077 as well but have been unsuccessful.


I would be extremely happy if I could get a EVGA RTX 3090 Kingpin but haven't even seen the Auto Notify button pop up for that model.
 
It also looks like the notice that stated, "Ships 12/15/2020" has disappeared as well now.
